Choosing an electric shaver is of course not as easy as it sounds. But you don’t have to buy everyone you see and try it. This is because we have done all that for you. And the results of our hard work are below the 15 best electric shavers for women that give you a smooth, comfortable shave every time.
1-Panasonic ES2207P Ladies Electric Shaver
This is a wet/dry electric shaver that uses a three-blade system that has three independently floating blades that naturally glide with your skin for a clean and smooth shave.
This shaver also has a folding trimmer for those sensitive, delicate areas where detached hair needs to be cleaned quickly and painlessly. The best part is that this is not only a water-resistant razor, it is also a fully submersible razor.
So whether you’re shaving in the shower or a little shortened while you take a bath, this razor will be ready for the job. Together with the shaver, you get a compact charger, a cleaning brush, and a travel bag.
However, it does not shave as quickly as a disposable shaver but does not irritate or cut your sensitive skin. The battery life is not that long.
A full load enters 20 to 35 minutes of shaving time. And then you need 12 hours to charge it. We love the fact that it is cordless. Simply connect the charger and then connect your shaver. Without cables at the end, the precious real estate stores on your kitchen counter.
Questions & Answers
I just bought this shaver and have been charging it for more than 12 hours. The indicator light is still red on the charger. Does it ever go green?
No, it blinks red then goes to solid red when done.
Is it good for underarm hair?
Yes. That is the main reason I bought this shaver. It gives a clean underarm shave without leaving red bumps or soreness. It does a great job for an electric shaver. You will get a closer, longer shave with a blade, but if you are like me, you will also get nicks. Not so with this product!
Have had this 4 yrs. & it no longer holds a charge. Anyone else have this happen?
We regret to read about your shaver. If the battery only holds a charge for a short time we would recommend replacing the shaver as the unit is not designed to used a replacement battery. If it will not charge at all then you may have a non-functional charging stand and could obtain replacement part number - RE7-43.
Can you and has anyone used this for the bikini area?
I do & it works great. I just shower first to loosen up the hair.
This is a life saver for someone who hates shaving! I apologize for the long review beforehand, but I promise you, the details will help you make an informed purchase!------------------------------------------ BACKGROUND------------------------------------------------------I'm used to getting my legs, arms, arm pits etc. waxed professionally once a month, back when I was in India. When I moved to the US, I realized how super expensive it is to get it done here, especially on a student budget! I tried waxing at home but there were always difficult patches which would turn sore and red because I couldn't hold the skin taut. Hence, like every one else, I started shaving! The problem was that I had never shaved before. Maybe once or twice in high school but that too when my mother was supervising me. I hated it. I hated spending extra time in the shower. I hated that it had to be done more often. I hated the cuts and razor burns. I tried shaving my arms once and it was a disaster. That's when I thought that I should probably look up electric shavers, and I found this one!------------------------------------------ REVIEW------------------------------------------------------Close shave:I think the main issue most people face with electric shavers is getting a close shave. If done right, this can give a close shave. Hold the shaver perpendicular to the surface, so that the foil and both side of the trimmer are touching your skin. The trick is to go back and forth several times over the same area. There is a little bit of a spring action, so that you can, very gently, press it down on your skin, giving a closer shave. If you have longer hair, apply some baby powder and run a dry towel across the area in the direction opposite to the hair growth to lift the hair up. If you have really long thick hair (or if you are a guy shaving his legs), use the pop up trimmer to trim first.Battery life: Even though it said that it needs to be charged for 12 hours before the first use and between every use, I used it right out of the box to test it out on a small patch. It shaved well. I decided to wait 24 hours just to make sure I'm not getting any reaction, and charged it in the mean time. The blades did spin faster. So I believe it's a good idea to charge it between shaves. The manual says that 12 hours of charging gives about 20 minutes of shave, which sounds ridiculous at first. However, it took me, the amateur shaving person, 10 to 12 minutes to shave both legs, both arms and underarms. I think 20 minutes is more than enough.Wet shaving:UPDATEAfter a few months if use, I tried out wet shaving and I loved it. It became my preferred method over dry shaving. Since there was no risk of cuts like a regular razor, my main issue of not being able to see in the shower with my glasses on was no longer a concern. I could go over the same area multiple times. Being in the shower already meant I could quickly rinse off the shaver instead of brushing the hair off after every section, and allowed me to get a better shave overall.I used some shower gel or soap, not shaving cream. I found that keeping the skin and the shaver super wet and slippery helped it glide on the skin easily. I shaved against the direction of hair growth to get a good close shave. This method took me maybe a few minutes lesser than dry shaving. Before the update: ___________________________Since I hated shaving, I don't think this is a feature I want to try. The manual says I can use this with some shaving cream, and I lot of reviews say that your skin needs to be soaking wet to shave. If I ever do try it, I will update this. I think it's unnecessary to wet shave when I'm getting very good results shaving it dry, however, I feel it's a good feature to have in case that's your only option, for example, if your sharing a hotel room with friends and don't have the privacy.___________________________Regrowth: Surprisingly, the regrowth was not as blunt as normal shaving, which is what gave me the confidence to shave my arms! You do have to let it grow a little longer than usual to shave well.Cleaning: It is extremely easy to clean. It comes with a dual ended brush to brush of hair during the shave. After I am done shaving, I pop the head off and rinse both, the head and the blades inside in water. It's a good idea to press your finger onto the faucet so that it gives out a sharp forceful stream. I first rinse the head, then put a some hand soap in some water in a cup, and leave the head in that to soak while I clean the blades inside. I first rinse the blades in the sharp stream, then I dunk the blade only in the cup full of soap water and swish it around, and then rinse both the head and the blades. I use a q tip to get into the corners of the plastic inside. To dry off, I sort of shake both the parts vigorously so that the water falls out, put the top back on to protect the blade, and leave it to air dry for a few hours. Once I know it's fully dry, I put it for charging.Ergonomics: For dry shaving and washing, it's very easy to hold. It fits well in my small hands and doesn't slip out of my grip. I don't know if the surface will become slippery if you're shaving wet with shaving cream. The placement of the buttons is good so that you can start and stop the shaver or open and close the pop trimmer with the thumb of the hand you're holding it with. I believe the design is good for both, right handed and left handed people. The side of the the blade is big enough for quick shaves, and small enough to get around difficult areas.Portability: If you have the right case to carry it in, it's easily portable. The case that comes with it is too small to fit both the shaver and the charger. This is my only complaint. Other than that, it's not too bulky and heavy to travel with.Longevity: Only time will tell. I have had it only for a few weeks and used it 3-4 times, and so far it's great. The blade and the foil are replaceable, so that's a good think. Other than that, if you read the manual, follow the instructions, keep it clean and charge it timely, you're doing everything on your side to maintain the product. If anything goes wrong or I face any issues, I will come back and update this.Overall, I think it's a good product, very affordable (I bought it for 14.99, the original price is 29.99, which is still great if it lasts for more than a year), it does the job well without nicks and cuts, and it is FAST!If you found this review helpful, give it a thumbs up! If you have any questions, please comment below and I will try to answer them to the best of my knowledge. Have a great day! 🙂
I keep looking for the perfect, silver-bullet. magic shaver, which is like looking for Bigfoot or the perfect spouse. It ain't gonna happen, baby. But similar to my wonderful but slightly flawed husband, this shaver is the best to be found. I've tried others, I've spent more, (you're clear here that I'm talking about the shaver, right?), but this is the one I keep coming back to.Why?1) It's for wet or dry use, and it's sturdy. I can use it in the shower or not in the shower. I can drop it into a tub of water without fear of electrocution or ruining the shaver. It's pretty much idiot-proof in that way.2) It gives a close shave smoothly and without nicking, scraping, or inflicting other forms of pain. (Be sure your shaving area is either completely dry or completely wet. Otherwise, it will drag on some in-between dampness. ALSO, make sure the foil shaver head isn't nicked or otherwise damaged--see below. With sort-of-damp skin or nicked foil--my previous statement becomes null & void.)3) It's easy to clean. Pop the head off. Put it under running water while still running. Use the handy ilttle brush around the edges. Either/or/both. Easy-peasy. Contrast & compare Styles II Mini Lady Shaver - USB Charging and Cordless - Silky Smooth Shave For Sensitive To Normal Skin - Dry Type - Ultimate In Convenience and Results - No Skin Irritations which is just cute as all get-out, but can't get into the innards to get the gunk out. A razor will only shave well if it's gunk-less.4) It's cordless and rechargeable--charges easily and holds a charge through a prolonged shaving session.5) It travels well.6) Have you looked at the price of this? It's unbelievably affordable. Why only 4 stars and what keeps it from my ideal of perfection?1) I'd like a closer shave and not having to run the razor back & forth a few times to deforest.... errr... I mean... shave my legs to smoothness. However, I haven't found any other electric razor, regardless of price, that does better than this one. A safety razor is always going to win on this count, but it will also leave me with a few too many layers of skin removed and blood running like a river. I'll stick with the Panasonic.2) You need to be careful with the shaving foil head. It you nick it (such as by dropping it or poking it with something sharp), it's going to be like running a sharp nail up and down your... whatever you're shaving. Ow-ow-owwww! Then you'll need to replace either the head or the whole shaver. (I usually just get a new shaver.) This is probably true of any foil head shaver. Just be careful. That's it. Until "they" make the electric razor that shaves as well as a safety razor without the bloody results, and you see that I have a pre-nup with Bigfoot--the Panasonic ES2207P is the best ladies' electric shaver you're going to find. Period. (If you have found my review helpful, I'd really appreciate if you'd click the "Helpful" button. Thanks so much for reading! Liz)
I wasn't sure I believed the hype about this razor but I figured, for the price, it was worth a shot to combat my chronic bikini area razor burn issues. Let me tell you, I will NEVER go back to shaving my bikini area with a razor again. This product is fantastic! The pop up trimmer handled some of the longer hairs very well, I just used that all over first. Then the foil shaver got a nice smooth shave. No bumps or nicks like I used to get from shaving with a razor. I also tried it on my legs and loved it as well! I'm going to recommend this to all my female friends and will probably purchase some as gifts. I think this is a must have product for every woman!
My razor just arrived. I wanted to get it charging right away but discovered that the razor attaches right to the charger, no cord. In my bathroom, the outlet is right below my medicine cabinet so I can't plug it in there. It won't be a big problem to charge it somewhere else but I didn't see where anyone else mentioned that.
2-Braun Silk-Epil 9 9-579 Womens Electric Razor and EpilatorThe Braun epilator has a 40% wider head to remove more hair with one pass. The tweezers extract more hair with a single stroke. This reduces the pain if you spend less time removing hair.
The MicroGrip Tweezer technology uses a wider, deeper and longer tweezer to remove the hair. With resins, the hair must have a certain length. The hair can be 4x shorter when using the epilator.
The Braun Silk epilator comes with 7 attachments and extras. There are 5 caps to use on different parts of the body. It comes with a travel cover and a travel charger.
The epilator comes with a face brush for deep cleansing of the face.
The facial brush removes makeup and cleanses deeply in the pores in the face. You may want to use this epilator with an attachment on your sensitive face. Your skin must be as clean as possible before use.
In addition to a travel charger and cover, there is also a cover that you can use to take it everywhere you go. If you use the epilator it means that you are hair-free for weeks, but you may need to take it with you during your vacation.
This epilator can be used in the bath or shower. It is intended to be used wet or dry depending on your preferences. Beginners can use this with shaving cream or gel to make it easier to remove the hair. It will be less painful.
In agreement. First of all, I'm from the Middle East. I have very thick black hairs and, sometimes, 3 hairs per pore. I've walked away from Waxers several times, saying they just can not wax me because I'm too hairy and I'll bleed all over and STILL have hair, which is what happened every time I convinced someone to make me wax. So, I've been relegated to shaving with the hope of laser hair removal one day !!! But until then, this is INCREDIBLE. And, so cheap. I thought I might die, sweating in pain and literally salivating him on the first try, but I discovered a way that makes it MUCH LESS DANGEROUS: Here it is, ladies. Take a nice, warm bath. Soak your entire body in the bathroom for at least 25 minutes FIRST before doing anything. Then, once your hair is soft and soft and your pores are wide open, remove each part of the body from the water, foam it with a little foam. And and mild soap and then go to the city with your epilator. This reduces the pain by at least 60% for me, and I'm the hairiest girl you'll ever meet. I mean, I have hairs in parts of parties that you did not even have any idea that they had hair follicles. Therefore, take a bath. Soften, foam, then go to the city. It does MUCH better and, after a couple of times, you will not have any pain!
I actually paid for this, if that matters to anybody. It did affect my opinion when I was reading reviews because I feel like people who receive something for free are much more likely to give higher ratings than they may have.First off. I only got this a week ago. If my opinion changes, I'll update my review to reflect my views. There is also a lot to review with this, so I'm going to give reviews of the attachments as well as an overall opinion.OVERALLThis thing hurts. I am not one to avoid wishing ill will upon people I dislike, but I don't think I would wish this sort of pain upon my worst enemy. Oh, I read the advice columns. I tried a shot of vodka. NSAIDs. After exfoliation. In the shower. After a shower. Completely dry. Wet. Pulling my skin as taut in every direction possible. Leaving my skin be. Going slowly. Going quickly. I didn't try numbing cream, but I think I'm going to next time. The pain from this was worse than getting my tattoo and getting it removed--possibly worse than the combined pain of both. My hair is very thick and coarse (I'm pretty sure I'm half-Sasquatch; my skin is glow-in-the-day white and my hair is very dark), so maybe that's why it caused me so much grief. I ended up having to stop halfway through and finish up the next day. I was dripping sweat from the pain. There was a little blood. It wasn't enough to make me cry, but it was extremely uncomfortable. Each of my hair follicles was bright red after, and my skin was extremely warm to the touch. If I could have walked around without pants for the rest of the evening, I would have. Sadly that wasn't an option, so I put on some PJs and stayed as still as possible until I went to bed. That said, it may be the best worst thing I've ever put myself through. My hair normally becomes quite visible after 2-3 days, and I'm still relatively hair free. Some hairs did break off at the skin and they are becoming visible (more slowly than with shaving), but I am impressed with how smooth my skin is. Assuming that the hair comes back even remotely finer and/or sporadically enough to reduce the pain, the process was worth it. I am way too lazy to shave regularly. If this cuts down my need to remove my hair down to 2-3 times a month AND gives me an excuse to binge-watch a few episodes of bad TV while doing so, I'll deal with the pain.PURPLE/MASSAGING ATTACHMENT (5/5)This attachment is the best. It lets you get closest to your skin, so it can catch shorter hairs. I used this when possible. I even tested it on my chin because the sensitive/narrow opening head didn't do anything. I don't really think the rollers helped at all (maybe it helps people with thinner/finer hair?), but the closeness helps a lot. Short hair (but not overly short--the .5 mm claims on the box seem VERY generous to me, and I'd recommend having at least 1-2 mm) was still an issue overall, but most of what I had got taken off without too much issue. Besides the pain, of course.ARMPIT ATTACHMENT (5/5)You can't get quite as close with this attachment, but it is easier to use around awkward curves like your armpits. Warning to people who try to epilate their underarms: Be prepared for blood. Again, my hair is coarse and I have sensitive skin, but my pits were not happy at all. Several of my follicles were bleeding by the time I finished. The small surface area was the one relief because I managed to get each of them done in only a minute or two. Also, I have zero hair growth as of yet, and I usually need to shave my underarms every couple of days.NARROW/SENSITIVE ATTACHMENT (2/5)This thing is kind of useless for me. The hole is narrow to avoid catching your skin (which I didn't have any issues with whatsoever, even with the open attachments), but the plastic is so thick that it's hard to get short hairs. I get some hairs on my chin that I wanted to epilate, but this was useless for that. Unless your hairs are already somewhat long (thus quite visible), it won't help you with much.SHAVER ATTACHMENT--with and without trimmer head (4/5)This is alright for trimming. It isn't as good as a dedicated trimmer because you can't get as much hair at once, but it does its job pretty well. With the trimmer head, it brings hair down to about half a centimeter or so. Without the trimmer head, it gets pretty short--almost down to the skin. I found this to be a bit too short for the epilator, so I would suggest either holding it a bit away from your skin or using the trimmer cover if the hair you want to epilate is very long.STAND (?/5)I'm not really going to leave my epilator out all of the time, especially since I will supposedly only need it once or twice a month, so I'm not giving a review of this. It's a stand. It stands things.FACIAL CLEANSING BRUSH (3/5)I'm a little disappointed in this. I make my own facial products (moisturizers, exfoliators, cleansers, etc.), and I was hoping that this might be something to either add to or replace my homemade exfoliators. I'll use it until the batteries run out or the head goes bad, but I doubt I'll keep using it after that. My skin doesn't feel any smoother or cleaner than when I use the products I make myself, and it has a bigger environmental impact thanks to the batteries. If you don't already have a decent product you use for exfoliation, this is okay. But if you have something you're already a fan of, I wouldn't expect miracles.
3-Panasonic ES-WD51-P Ladies Wet/Dry EpilatorNext on our list is the Panasonic ES-WD51-P ladies wet/dry epilator, a slim looking razor that can be used wet or dry. That is why we recommend it:
48 rotating tweezers ensure an ultra-smooth shave.
Nickel-free blades are hypoallergenic and safe for sensitive skin.
The rechargeable battery is charged within one hour and works for a maximum of 40 minutes on one charge.
Here are some of the possible disadvantages of this product:
- The price is definitely on the high side for an electric shaver.
- This is technically an epilator and not a shaver, so there might be some pain in the first instance.
- Does not work while the cord is connected.
If you are used to a less messy option for complete hair removal, this model is a good choice for you.
Questions & Answers
Does the head need to be replaced after long use?

Questions & Answers
Can this be uses for bikini area?
Yes! I used it for my whole “lady parts” area and it works nicely
Can you shave your upper lip n chin area
I don’t see why not... but you are not going to get a smooth shave like you would with a razor
Do you have to be careful when using it?
Yes. Unfortunately the trimmer blades are on both sides of the shaver.
Does this have depth attachments.
No it doesn't have depth attachments
For the price ($13) you really can not beat it for a decent battery operated womens shaver. The shaver works on 2 AA batteries and the unit arrives with new batteries ready to install. Installation was very simple. There is only one speed on and off, but to me that is fine. I can not imagine using different speeds on a razor as one speed is going to work best.I got this razor to use on my legs instead of using a standard disposable razor. Of course a traditional razor blade razor with water and soap is going to give you the closest shave but this one does a great job and takes the hair off my legs in a hurry. The shaver is not super loud and also does not scratch or nick my legs. The shaver comes with a plastic cover and also you can remove the shaver part to wash it. I do not plan on using it wet but this is great for getting the hair off my legs. I haven't tried it yet on my underarms as I like to do that with soap and water and a regular razor.I like that this is a name brand and not some cheap off brand. It's still just plastic but for the price I am very pleased with my purchase. Thanks for reading my reviewBecky Brooks
I purchased this for my 10 year old daughter and am very pleased with the performance. It's perfect for a younger girl/preteen to avoid nicking themselves with a real razor.
Got this to replace a small bikini trimmer that I have that needs new batteries for every use... I've had this for a month now, and am also using it for legs and underarms and am still using the batteries it came with.I am very satisfied with this product and it it were to stop working today I day buy another tomorrow.Follow up several months in... still on my same set of original batteries... I've stopped using disposable razors and only use this! Dropped it hard once and the blade pieces came off, they snapped back in (have a little bit of a bow now) but still works fine... try not to drop it is my advice lol...
For tween leg hair this is a great purchase for Adult Monster 30+ leg fur I say skip 🙂
5-Philips Satinelle Essential HP6401
This epilator has 21 rotating trimmers that efficiently remove the hair from your skin and keep it supple for weeks. It can remove very fine hair, making it a better choice than waxing. It also becomes less uncomfortable over time. The shaver has an efficiency cap that ensures that your epilator is placed at the right angle (90 degrees) to remove as many hairs as possible at once.
It can work at two different speeds – one is the soft speed while the other is the efficient speed. The ergonomic design makes it easy to hold and feels comfortable in the hand.
And it comes with a 2-year warranty. This is not an epilator that can beat one of the very expensive ones. But it’s effective. You may have to go through an area more than once (although even some expensive ones may need it).
But it is not painful like some other epilators. It leaves your skin smooth for weeks. And it is easy to clean; just remove the head and wash it.
This epilator is also provided with a cord, but that doesn’t necessarily have to be bad. Epilators are for dry shaving anyway. And this one has a long cord that gives you a certain amount of flexibility. The only drawback is that there is no built-in light, making it difficult to check if you have missed a hair. But for the lower price, it is a great way to enter the world of epilators.
I did a lot of readings on hair removal before buying the Philips Satinelle. I exfoliated and shaved several days before the first use (and exfoliated again minus the shaving the first day of use). The product came as described with an extra long cord, which facilitates movement through the bathroom. This little baby is quite noisy, but my husband and my child asleep did not wake up in the next room. I successfully removed the hair from both armpits in a single session. From the comments I read, I have to say that it was not as painful as I thought. It stung me a bit later, but in 30 minutes my armpits had no red bumps and they were so soft. I did not use deodorant for a day to be on the safe side. I also had no discomfort at work that night. The next day I used deodorant and everything was fine. Not having irritation from shaving is wonderful! I had to shave my underarms TWICE in a day, that's how fast the hair has come back. Once a day at least. No more! It's been 3 days and my armpits are as smooth as a baby's bottom literally! In the legs: I attach a photo for you to see. I followed all the recommended exfoliation procedure, I was slow, I held it at a 90 degree angle and my legs had many red bumps. It took much longer than anticipated to complete both legs (knees down) and I still could not get all the hairs. I'm still learning, so I'm not going to let it discourage me once. Some say that those bumps lasted days and even weeks of irritation and that they led to ingrown hairs, but this is false for me. My legs had the same twinge of light after shaving with a razor. I used my moisturizer and the bite calmed down in 10 minutes. Fortunately the next morning my legs are almost completely clear! However, not all the hair is gone, so my legs are not soft for babies. It is definitely a learned procedure. The skin appears in all types of sensitivity levels, so I agree that this form of hair removal is not for everyone. For lack of a better word it is quite "rewarding" if it works! Oh, pit with smooth arms! The image that appears more to the left in my image shows my leg after I have calmed it in cold water, you DO NOT use water while using this epilator! UPDATE: I love this thing. I did a little more reading, the hair and skin grow in rounds and layers, so it is almost impossible for my legs to be completely smooth, however, I used it several more days in a row and got my legs satisfactorily. A week later, they still feel / look less than 1 day shaving razor. THE RED BULBS WERE ONLY AN IRRITATION "FOR THE FIRST TIME THAT IT EXPLODED THAT AREA". There are no red punches in all subsequent rounds. It is used on the inside of the thighs near the bikini area and has been much more successful than a razor. After 24 hours, the red bumps disappeared and he did not shave. My armpits are still soft! Not having irritation from shaving or rapid hair growth is surprising. Now that my skin is accustomed, I can sit down and touch up what is necessary without having to waste my time and water shaving in the shower. Another advantage: you will usually want to shave and leave your hair free when you go to the beach. Or swimming to shave right before the event makes sense? Until you get in the water and your legs are burned because you shaved the day before or the day before? NO LONGER! Once your legs are used, the faster speed is no longer intimidating. Extremely happy with how this epilator has worked in so many ways!
Those of you who are new to epilators, is basically that all your hairs are being pulled off at a very high speed. It is no less painful than pulling each hair, only faster. First, a little about me: I think basically somewhere in my ancestry, a Norwegian was paired with a Sasquatch. I have super sensitive skin, with ridiculously dark hair. This has made hair removal a challenge in my life. Shaved off? Forget this. It is hardly within 12 hours. Shave while it is smooth? Shave burn, no matter what. In those 12 hours of shaving, if it turns out that I'm going to swim or I get goose bumps, I feel like the needles stab my legs where the hair is trying to escape. Therefore, shaving is a no-go.Waxing. So far, my method of removing hair for the legs and bikini area. Cons: It's expensive, or if you do it yourself, messy and takes a long time. In addition, you need to grow enough hair between the wax works. So basically, I spend most of the summer in long skirts and light pants. I love winter. Legging season. Yes thanks! Fortunately, my husband does not care about my Sasquatch legs so much in the winter. I tell him it helps keep my legs warm. So, why the epilator? Well, I was on vacation with my family, and I could not go anywhere to get waxed up, and I wanted to go swimming without scaring the kids or tourists thinking they saw a little Sasquatch and taking blurry pictures. My sister-in-law had this model, and raved about it. I was curious, so I went for it. It took a while. The pain was intense. And even though I've had 2 children, I'm a bit weird when it comes to pain. It is difficult to describe the feeling that all the hairs on the legs are pulled off by turning the blades at the same time. Honestly, it was similar to the feeling of getting a tattoo. I had my husband taste it on a small part of his arm and he yelled. I could not handle it. I had to keep taking pain breaks. My skin would get used to it for a while, then I would have to move to a new place, and everything would start again. After that, my legs looked (and FELT) as if I had already burned the sun. I swore, never again. BUT, it lasted much longer than waxing. The hair became scarcer, softer and slower than when I turned. My sister-in-law said that the first time was the worst. Then, I bought it and gave it another chance. The second time, I had a good system. Smaller and more repetitive movements, simply by sliding them gently on the skin (without the need to push, like an electric razor), pulling the skin shown just above where you are working. And you know what? She was right. Much less painful. Done in about 30 minutes or so. Still painful, but tolerable. There is no redness in the skin (except in some places where the skin is super sensitive). Soft legs once more. And the best thing is that I do not have to wait for the hair to become too long and thick to use again, as it will pull the hair at almost any length as it grows. The thicker the hair is, the less painful it is. If you get it, I recommend you try it twice. Remember small and repetitive movements, slide gently on the skin, pull the skin that is shown above where you work. If you have done many tattoos, the feeling will be similar, so you will be fine. I do not know if I'll ever wear it in the area of my bikini, I'm not that brave. But I think I've found a way to never have to wax my legs again.
6-Remington WDF5030A Wet & Dry Electric Foil Shaver
The curved head of this foil shaver keeps the foil smooth against the skin. This gives you a more comfortable, smoother shave without irritation. The irritation often comes from multiple steps on the skin to remove missed hairs. The foils are designed to be open to the blades. Hair goes continuously through the foil to the sheets.
This means that long or short hair doesn’t matter because the blades cut them close to the skin.
At the top of this shaver is a flexible, double-sided trimmer. This prepares the hair before the movies come in to do their job.
Some hairs can be longer than others. The trimmer lines the hair to cut.
There is a strip of almond oil on the shaver itself. It will smooth and nourish your skin. The oil lags behind every course of the shaver to soften the skin. It leaves your skin smooth and silky.
The shaver is completely waterproof so that you can use it in the shower. It is also great with shaving gel or cream in combination with the almond oil strip.
Questions & Answers
how is it sanitized and cleaned?
This item comes with a brush which you should use first. Then remove the shaver head and dip in alcohol to sanitize. Dry and put back on the shaver handle.
Does charging stand have a cord?
Do the remington sp360 replacement foil screens and cutters work with this razor? if not, do you know where replacement screens may be purchased?
No! I haven't found anywhere that does sell replacement parts. On the plus side I highly recommend the razor, it's great.
Is there a certain measurement the hair has to be before being able to remove the hair?
No. It removes very fine facial hair!
Charged it the day before I left for my honeymoon and the charge lasted until just last week! I love it! It worked great! A little tip tho, shave before you get in the shower or bath or a couple of hours after. A battery operated razor shaves closer if your skin is dry. I didn't expect to use as a wet shaver but I found that using it as a dry shaver improves the hair removal much better. My legs were much smoother and softer when I use before I get my skin wet or damp. The color is just as pictured. I love it. I have always used a disposable razor but thought I could upgrade and try a battery operated one and I'm happy that I did!
I’ve never used an electric razor like this, ever before. I am very happy with this purchase! I shave my legs every other day and it is so annoying having to take all that time in the shower, possibly cutting yourself a bunch. With this, I take my quick shower & then once I am out & dried off, I use this razor. So quick & easy. It leaves me with a great shave afterwards, especially in the sensitive areas, that are a little nerve wracking getting a soapy razor around. I absolutely love this razor. No more need to buy expensive razors every month or shaving cream. Make sure to exfoliate before hand to raise all the hair & slough off the skin, to get the best shave. Seriously buy this. You’ll love it!
This is incredible for every-days smoothe in delicate places. So much safer in every way than the open blades of a razor. Love that I can use it in the shower, but it's great for touch-ups dry (a little powder helps). I don't use it on my legs in the shower because it has to be used slowly, but it's great for dry, out-of-shower touch-ups on the legs. Easy to clean, easy to operate. We'll see how it does in the long run.
Took some getting used to, but all in all it's a great product. Long battery life and as exoected image. Tip: when shaving I suggest using cream and holding the shaver up right instead of slanted (if that makes any sense?) to where the top is flat on the skin. This will help prevent pulling, get a closer shave, and avoidig scratching the skin.
7-Panasonic ES2113PC Facial Hair TrimmerThe Panasonic facial trimmer ensures that your face is never blurred enough to be perceived as a human being. It features a smooth, rotating head that glides smoothly over the different contours of your face and removes unwanted hair on its way.
The blade is super thin, hypoallergenic and has a round tip to ensure that your skin is protected against cuts and irritation.
The shaver comes with eyebrow-shaped combs that snap into place. It is slim and can easily be slid into your makeup set or the pocket of your bag. The shaver is powered by a single AA battery. Although this shaver works wonders for your face (meaning it doesn’t work down), it’s not without its flaws.
The biggest disadvantage of this small shaver is that you cannot buy replacement blades if yours get boring. You will have to purchase a whole new device.
Questions & Answers
Can the blades for this be ordered separately
Wow. Replacement blade (one blade only, just the large one) costs about a buck less than buying a whole new trimmer. Great.
How to put the eyebrow trimmer on the appliance
There is a small slider from one side of the head, just slide it down and then lightly pull the half of the head out, it should deattach easily. Then you can attach different head
will it work on chin hairs
it will, but it's NOT great. It takes multiple passes to get everything.
Does it also work on nose hair?
It is thin I don't see why not.
Really good for the soft hair on my face! It doesn't give me razor burn or any irritation whatsoever. SUPER gentle. It's my favorite kind of exfoliation. And no, shaving doesn't make the hair thicker or darker. However, this doesn't work on the thick hair on my chin so I can't use it for that, unfortunately. This is A MILLION TIMES better than the "Finishing Touch Painless Hair Remover", which didn't work at all and completely fell apart and broke when I tried to open the cap the second time I tried to use it. I completely recommend this Panasonic one, the value just can't be beat.
I struggled with how to rate this razor. The truth is that I will purchase it again and again. The problem that I have with it is that I have to purchase it again and again. There really isn't a perfect razor. I've tried several kinds. I use it for the small amount of peach fuzz facial hair. This one is perfect for it. But the only issue is that the blade dulls over the course of around 6 months and I buy a new one. I would love to just buy a few new heads for it instead of purchase a whole new razor but at this price, it's really not that big of a deal.
I have owned several of these small personal trimmers before of all different brands and it seems like they always die after a few weeks of use, even with fresh batteries. The most recent one I had was the Wahl brand (see photo comparison) which works well when it decides to turn on, but is totally inconsistent in that department. It just won't turn on for some reason sometimes. Drives me nuts. I've had this Panasonic one for a few days now and it works very well! So far no problems. My husband did try it on his thicker, curlier chest hair (just for test purposes - he has is own personal trimmer) and it did catch and pull a little more than some we've had but all in all it got the job done quite well! The key will be to see if it lasts longer than a month. I will come back and update I promise. In the mean time I'm happy with the purchase! It tackles all those hair-eas that a girl needs to keep lady-scaped very well!
I have used this for 3 years on my "feminine area," and not once has it cut or nicked me. A razor has cut me once, and I started using this and it is a godsend. It trims very, very close to the skin without any scraping or cutting. What I don't like is that there is no replacement blade, so if your blade gets dull, you would have to order a whole new trimmer. But honestly, I don't trust using any other trimmer because the Panasonic one I ordered that was cheaper nicked me with each use. So I switched back to this. It's pricier, but worth it in my opinion
8-Panasonic Cordless All-In-One Advanced Wet & Dry Electric Shaver
The Panasonic cordless all-in-one advanced wet and dry electric shaver is good for every situation in life. It is completely submersible, so you can take it in your bath and shower and you can always choose to use it completely dry with minimal problems for your skin.
The rechargeable battery takes about an hour to charge, but if you are in a hurry, you can easily charge it for 5 minutes and it is good to make one shave.
The shaver uses four ultra-sharp blades for the shortest possible cut when you reach an electric device with hypo-allergenic foils that are gentle on sensitive skin.
The design of the shaver means that it is ideal to touch your legs, arms or bikini areas without making awkward corners.
Questions & Answers
Is this battery operated
Yes it comes with a charger you charge it then use it but it’s not very good overall it hurts everytime i use it
Where can you buy replacement blades and foil?
alana j baker
So I bought this thinking that it really wouldn’t work for me. I’ve tried shavers in the past. Boy was I wrong. This is the best thing ever! It changed my life :)I love it. Thanks for all the reviews. I wouldn’t have tried this if not for the positive reviews.
Great razor. Replaces older model. Gives really close shave yet gentle and the charger has been redesigned. Seems the razor is more secure now on charger. It is quiet plus love the option of popping up the blade for longer hairs.
Pros:Feels nice in the handCuts well (though not super close) without grabbing skin or hairsDecent electric razor for the priceCons:Battery seems to not hold a charge. I can get one quick shave, but it SOUNDS like it needs a charge. Still cuts though... so it's been ok so far. But I've only had it a couple months - hope it survives the summer.Doesn't give a super smooth shave (I don't really care)
Worked much better than the same ,but less
9-Remington WDF-3600 Smooth & Silky Women’s ShaverRemington is a respected and popular name in personal care for both men and women. Our next choice is the Remington WDF-3600 Smooth & Silky Women’s Shaver.
We love this:
Smooth, floating trimmers are hypoallergenic and hygienic.
Comes with an included trimmer and a trim surface for a bikini.
Leaves the skin smooth and free from irritations.
Can be used wet or dry.
Here are a few disadvantages to consider:
- This shaver is a bit on the hard side and the sound may be too much for some people.
- Not recommended for use in the forearm and may cause irritation.
- Needs to be charged often.
We love this shaver because it doesn’t cause skin irritation, but if you’re looking for a shaver that you can use anywhere, you might want to look for something else.
Questions & Answers
One said it comes with just an electrical cord - does it have the actual charger attached to plug into the socket?
The battery is built into the shaver, the power cord is an adapter that plugs into the wall and shaver to charge
How well does this work?
I have used this for over 10 years. I love it. It will shave your legs smoothe if you go over the area several times, which some people do not like. I only shave my bikini area and arm pits with this, no blades. If you’re used to a blade smoothe leg, it takes a lot of time to get that.
Does this come with the battery and the cord for charging?
Just an electrical cord.
Is this razor loud?
No I don't find it loud and it's the best razor I have ever used.
It was as expected - replacing the old one
Good electric razor. Does a pretty good shave and keeps charge pretty well.

This is a fantastic woman's shaver. I get a nice close shave and it does not make my legs dry and itchy. The price of the shaver was very reasonable. I highly recommend this shaver.

Questions & Answers
Can i clean my epilator using shower gel or it is unfriedly for the tweezers? How you clean your Silk epil 5?
You can rinse it with water and any soap, WHILE IT'S UNPLUGED! The Tweezers are Stainles Steel so just take the head off, and put it under a jet of water. It you still see some dirt/debries/hairs in there, use a sharp pointed thing, as a toothpick, or a used toothbrush to clean the head. Also, I don't think it would mind if you would use Chlorine, muriatic acid, or some other chimical cleaners that would disolve hair. But in my oppinion, a superficial cleaning is enough, and if any hairs are stil instide the baril, it doesn't affect the function of the device.
where it is made?
Mine said made in germany
What is the different between braun silk-pil 5 5-185 - electric hair removal epilator and braun silk-épil 5 5-280 - electric hair removal epilator?
possibly just the money
can I use it on wet skin ?
As far as i can tell, this epilator has the exact same mechanism as the other Silk-épil 5 and 7 series models (the heads and attachments are fully interchangeable) — the only differences are that it has a slightly different body and of course it runs off mains power instead of a battery. I strongly prefer the latter feature, because the battery on the other models is non-replaceable and only lasts 45 minutes at best. If you're very thorough or have thicker hair, that's going to make you feel rushed.Of course, no battery also means you can't use it wet, and honestly i think that's fine, because the wet feature is mostly a gimmick. Aside from the fact that wet hair is weak and tends to break, epilating is a slow process compared to shaving, so you're probably not going to want to do it in the shower (which seems like it would be the main draw). As far as the tweezer functionality, as i said, it's exactly the same as the other Silk-épil 5 and 7 models. The parts inside are all plastic, which feels a bit cheap (you can really see how chewed-up the gears get if you look inside after a few months of use), and might (?) contribute to the noise level. But otherwise it works fine. The head has the standard 40 tweezers and it supports a few different covers and attachments.Speaking of attachments, the shaver head is not great; it's clumsy and cheap and just doesn't shave well. It'll probably get you by in an emergency, but if you actually need a shaver, buy a real one.Over-all, i like it. It gets pretty close, it lasts long enough for the price, and it's got a light. The power switch on this model is irritating compared to some of the others, but it's not a big deal. Some general tips:- Epilating DOES hurt at first, especially in sensitive spots like the arm pits and bikini area, but you will get used to it after a while. I've been doing it for so long, i actually find it quite relaxing, like a massage almost.- I have never found a reason to use the low-speed setting. If anything i feel like it hurts MORE on low speed than high.- If the hair you're trying to epilate is long, trim it first. It will take longer and probably hurt more if you don't.- Exfoliate before and/or after epilating. If you find yourself breaking out (which shouldn't happen normally), wash with soap and water and maybe use some astringent too.- If you need lubrication, apply some baby powder or similar. Do NOT use lotion, it will just make your skin sticky. For the same reason, don't epilate on damp skin.- Brush the hair out of the epilator often. If you're lazy like i used to be, hair will actually get pushed through the holes into the cavity below and it will clog up the gears. You'll have to take it apart to clean it.
I had no idea if an Epilator would work for me and read so many reviews prior to buying. After a year of use, here is my feedback to help you decide if this is for you.- I would buy this again.- It does NOT stop hair growth. It does soften the hair so its lighter and can't be seen; it's also softer and you don't have stubbles.- I use it 1x a week on my lower leg and under arms. Slowly moving to my my thighs, but there is pain there.- The first 2-3 times it hurt a lot, but it no longer hurts. Note: underarms hurt awful the first few times to the point I didn't use it. Huge tip: Get your underarms waxed; then as it grows in sporadically use the epilator so you aren't ripping out so many hairs at once. It really doesn't hurt there anymore and I only use it 1x a week and am pretty much hair/stubble free.- Don't waste your money on the wet one.- I use the non-epilator/shaving part on my lower arms and it works great.Hope this helps you decide!
Older model, but I like it. Especially as a first-time kit. If this is your first time epilating, yes, it does hurt. There will be pain, tears, maybe a little blood. You'll swear with words you didn't knew you knew, and look like a plucked chicken after all your hard work and maybe even still feel a little stubble.. BUT I don't think any device can make that better when we're talking about ripping hair from the roots with a whirling barrel of tweezers. If you're old enough, just take a shot of Sailor Jerry. Throw on baby powder on the area you're epilating and go for it. Have some coconut oil and aloe vera gel on hand to soothe the skin when you're done. Witch hazel to keep it clean later. You'll heal really nice. The more regularly you do it, the smoother you'll be, and the less it'll hurt. The cold gel pack it comes with is awesome. You can trim your hair down with the trimmer. As you get used to epilating, you can swap out the massaging head for the speedier efficiency one. It's super easy to clean, and I'm glad I went this route instead of waxing, because tbh, I find waxing messy, hot and uncomfortable. If waxing isn't for you and you're fed up with shaving, give this a shot.
11-Panasonic ES-ED50-N Multi-Functional Wet/Dry Shaver and Epilator
If a shaver + trimmer is not enough for you, the Panasonic ES-ED50-N multifunctional wet/dry shaver and the epilator can have that extra that will satisfy you. This is not just an electric shaver and an epilator for wet and dry situations. This device can also be converted into a bikini trimmer.
What this means is that you get three different razors for a reasonable price. And you can store valuable real estate at your counter.
So this multifunctional shaver comes with four click heads/attachments and has a powerful two-speed motor for efficient hair removal the way you choose.
The four attachments are the shaving head with a pop-up trimmer, the preformed bikini comb, an epilating head with two discs with 48 rotating tweezers and a soft epilator cap.
The epilating head, incidentally, tilts 30 degrees forward and 30 degrees back, making it easy to adjust to the contours of your body while you slide it over your skin. All 4 attachments are 100% washable.
And there’s even a built-in LED to show you how much hair you’re missing. The charging time is 1 hour, so you can use the device for 30 minutes. Now, the defects. The epilator is effective as long as you do not use it in difficult places. It is not as painful as the really expensive epilators, but it can be quite uncomfortable, especially if you are not used to it. The built-in light also becomes hot quickly.
Questions & Answers
So is this just an epilator that can be used on wet or dry skin, OR is it an epilator on dry skin, with a razor attachment for wet? I'm confused.
The epilator can be used wet or dry as well as the razor attachment according to the directions.
About how long does it take to epilate the legs with this?
If u mean epilating process , it'll only take 10-15 minutes maximum. If u r saying after epilating how long does it take to regrow ur leg hairs, it really depends on ur physiology. But believe me much slower than shaving
Is it possible to buy replacement parts.... I need a new foot care/pumice head.
Yeah. You can find then in panasonic website. Panasonic>personal care>beauty. Click on the exact same product and you can see accessories at the bottom of the page
Can it be used on your face?
Yes it can, it has multiple attachments and I have used it there. The documentation addresses facial use, the previous comment saying it isn't is incorrect.
I’ve used the Philips, and the Braun, and this is by far, the best epilator I’ve ever used! Now if you think this means it doesn’t hurt, you are in for a big surprise. If this is your first time epilating you will be very spoiled with this being your first one, but you should make sure you can tolerate the uncomfortable feeling of having your hair pulled from the root. If you can’t handle a wax, you will hate this. This unit has been the most successful for multiple types of hair. I have baby fine hairs, wirery hairs and thick corse hairs. And on my legs, I feel like my hair grows in sometimes some random directions. With other units this would cause the thicker hairs to be just cut instead of pulled or ignored. This unit ignores or doesn’t mind if I change the rotation of the head. The head pivots which is great for curved areas. I’ve used it everywhere hair grows( except my head, and I mean everywhere! ). Some advice for newbies... 1) if you are ordering this today, go shave your legs now, so that when it arrives you have 2 days of growth. 2) exfoliate exfoliate exfoliate 3) moisuturize 4) when it arrives before using, use a body brush or loofah and brush the hairs up and eliminate the dead skin . 5) go get into the shower and really get warm (pores open up and let the hair slide out easier the warmer you are) 6) take some shower gel and put it on the epilator 7) start epilating - pretend like it’s a shaver. It will hurt a little at first , and if you have a pulsating shower head, let it pulse on the area you are epilating (almost numbs it) 8) do not think for one moment you will get all the hairs the very first time- set a timer for 5 minutes and stop. (About 1-2 passes). You should have a light hand-do not press hard, and go about 1-2 inches per second. 9) if you are prone to ingrown hairs, or rarely exfoliate or moisturize, get some witch hazel or salycylic acid toner (I get the clean and clear toner just for this) and go over the are you epilated with some. 10) Congratulate yourself and repeat every shower for a week. After a week you will have be amazed. I epilate once or twice a week but it only take a 5 minutes . If you let it grow out more than 1/8 inch you have to start all over :(.
For everyone that's complaining about this product because it's 'painful', what did you expect? Take some tweezers and start plucking the hair on your legs, it obviously doesn't feel good, now imagine 20 of those hairs being pulled out at once and that's how it feels to use an epilator. The 'gentle head' is a must, not because it makes it gentle, this is mildly deceiving, but because it's not quite as painful as using the regular attachment. I have light skin and a mix of light/dark hair, I've noticed that the light thin hair doesn't get pulled out as effectively as the darker thicker hair, but it tends to work a little better when the hair is roughly 5 mm long and I use the slower of the two settings.Yes the first time is going to be the worst, but if you can get down a couple glasses of wine beforehand and tough it out, it is SO worth it. My legs were very bumpy and irritated for a day or two after the first use but I didn't have to use it again for a couple weeks, which was amazing considering I would get stubble the same day when I would shave. Each time has gotten slightly less painful, I've probably used it 6 times or so over the last 4 or 5 months. In that time frame I've only shaved a handful of times, only because I've actually forgotten to use the epilator because the hair grows back so slow and soft now and it's extremely painful to epilate long hairs. The directions say not to use on your thighs and knees because that skin is more sensitive and can get caught in the tweezers, it's slightly more sensitive than lower legs but I've never gotten the skin caught. I tried using on my underarms and bikini once, I would not recomend this. Ever. Really. It HURT. To the point that I bled, and I sat there with tissues shoved under my arms and on my lady bits. I can handle the daily shaving of those parts easy enough.Overall I love how smooth my legs are now, it's the kind of smooth I was never able to obtain with a razor. My boyfriend doesn't even notice when it's been weeks since I've epilated because the hair is just that soft and fine when it grows back, as opposed to when I used a razor and he would accuse me of not shaving for a week, when in reality it had been a day. I'm excited to see how much thinner my hair will get over time, and hopefully how much less painful it will get. Already it's a huge improvement from the first time I used this, but I have high hopes with such great results in such a small amount of time!*this pic is 3 days after epilating my legs, and still not a hair in sight!'*
12-Butterfly Pro 5h by Skull ShaverThis rotary shaver is unusual, but that’s great. The handle is easy to hold in the palm of your hand. It makes shaving parts of the body much easier. It can be used on the back of the thighs without straining your upper body.
There are 5 cups on this rotary shaver. Each of the heads will move and adjust to your curves. The back of the thighs, the back of the knees or the curves that lead to your bikini line will all benefit from this rotary shaver. Each shaving head has 3 scissors. It is perfect for sensitive skin.
Instead of vertical movements on the legs or other parts of the body, the rotary shaver allows circular shaving. It stops kinks and cuts that may result from other shavers that are not being used properly.
The shaver has a rechargeable battery that can be fully charged after 2 ½ hours. That time gives you 90 minutes of shaving. That is enough time to get all the areas you want to shave.
This shaver is perfect for beginners who are suggested to shave. Young girls can be intimidated by foil shavers that require a certain up and down movement to shave well. They can also be too young for a safety razor.
The butterfly shaver can be great for the backs of the thighs and the back of the knees. It is not always easy to see those areas while you are in the middle of shaving. The Butterfly shaver does not require you to see what you are doing while shaving.
Questions & Answers
Does it come with a protective bag?
Yes it does, drawstring nylon bag
How often must you use it? It warns against shaving hair after 2 day’s growth. Will it work on longer hair?
My husband uses it every 3-7 days. Depends on length of hair as far as usage on longer hair.
Can be used with shaving cream
I don’t know I never did it.
Does it come with the rinse stand?
No it does not.
Wife and Daughter got together and ordered this for me, saying it looked like a "Brain". OK, I have heard all the jokes about that one. HOWEVER, I am here to tell you that this little brain makes shaving a head easy, quick and I dont bleed like I do with the blade since being put on blood thinners. Quick to charge, easy and comfortable to use, for something that looks like it should be used on the wifes or daughters legs, it works just as good on a round head. I highly recommend this shaver to anyone that likes to keep that "Slick" look on the head, and/or need a little "Brains" occassionally

I LOVE THIS RAZOR -- BEST PURCHASE!!I only wish I'd found it sooner. I always used to be able to shave my legs, but gradually my skin has got more and more sensitive and now shaving gives me super itchy legs, like I want to tear my legs off itchy. Well, I'd started to look like a scary creature from the Amazon until I mustered up the strength to shave again knowing I'd have unbearable itchiness. Then I found this Butterfly Pro, it's amazing!!! I can shave my legs super quickly, it gives me a pretty close shave. It's not perfect like a wet razor, but pretty damn close. I'm super impressed and super happy!! And it doesn't irritate my skin!! 🙂
I recently started shaving my head after having long hair for the past 10 years. I was looking for a shaver that would cut the time it takes to shave my head down. This shaver does a decent job, although I have to make several passes to get a close shave, due to the thickness of my hair. I find it works better if I use a light coat of shaving cream. This makes the shaver glide over my scalp nicely. I opted for this shaver over the mens version due to the price, I can't see that there would be much difference in the performance of the razor, after all, they both do the same job. I think the only criticism i have is that the RPMs could be greater, but that may be how it is designed so you don't get razor burn. All in all in all I am satisfied with its performance so far. I may update this at a later date to let you know how it has performed after a few months.
This razer is amazing. It gives a close shave and is fairly quiet. The battery life is long. It fits in my hand well and although the placement of the power button is on the top of the handle, it is stiff enough that it will not accidently turn off/on. The attachments are easy to change. It is easy to clean. I would recommend a shallow bowl for water to clean it in so the razor will remain vertical without the water going into the attachment area. I have used this for about a month and very happy with the results. I look forward to summer when I am camping - I will not have to worry about finding water and packing shave cream.I purchased the foil attachment but inside the packaging there was a flyer saying if review was given they will send a FREE attachment. I wished I would have known and could have saved the additional $9.99
13-Remington WDF4840 Women’s Smooth and Silky Foil Shaver, PurpleThis is one of the most affordable electric shavers available. That’s why we put it on our list:
Double-sided shaver first lifts the hair and cuts it quickly and efficiently.
Long-lasting aloe vera moisturizing strip soothes the skin during shaving.
The attached head protector for bikini trimmers protects sensitive areas.
As you would expect at this low price, there are some drawbacks:
- A rechargeable battery only takes 30 minutes before it needs to be recharged.
- More effective on fine hair than on thick, rough hair. Armpits may
- need two or three steps to get a clean shave.
If you don’t have a lot to spend and have relatively fine hair, this shaver is an excellent choice.
Questions & Answers
Does WDF4840 include base for recharging?
Yes. It works great, btw.
Does the charging base sit on the countertop while in use, or does it have to be plugged directly into the wall outlet for charging?
The charging base sits on the counter top and has a plug on a cord going to an outlet. The shaver sits in the charger. [ I know what you mean since I have another brand shaver that has to sit on a charger at the wall outlet. ]
Is the Aloe vera removable? It's an allergen.
Yes you could remove it, but the most lovely smooth experience would then be voided. You just need to pluck it out with a tooth pick or tweezers. Perhaps a different brand might be better for you if you are allergic to Aloe Vera. I have never heard of that being an allergen, however everyone has different allergies, myself for one have a ridiculous list of allergens that my medical team is always shocked to read.
may i know if it is dual voltage ? Can it be used with 220V ?
I've been using this shaver for 6 months now and it works great. Do I get a close razer silky smooth shave? No.... it's not a razer but a shaver. That means I get a nice close shave without cutting my legs or getting ingrown hairs! I use the shaver dry (after showering, legs are clean) for about a minute every couple of days and I'm good to go. It holds a long charge, is lightweight, and a great price.
Everything irritates my skin and gives me razor rash, but this doesn't. You have to really go over a spot a few times to get a smooth cut, but that's not really the point of using electric razors, they never get your skin completely smooth. It's great for when I don't have time to shower and shave, to just get rid of the visible hair and be on my way with no irritation.
I bought this as a gift for my wife. She absolutely loves this razor. She likes to use it to quickly shave her legs without needing to get out a conventional razor and shaving cream.
Higher end Remingtons have always been my favorite. This one was fine compared to other brands - good price, good product. I still can't get as close a shave on my legs as I did with the Remington women's shavers 10-15 years ago.
14-Remington WSF4810 Women’s Travel Foil ShaverIf you want something small and portable for emergency shaves, then you should definitely check out the Remington WSF4810. Although small, this is a full-size foil shaver with double trimmers, a curved head, and hypoallergenic foils. It can be used in wet and dry environments, is fully waterproof and works with 2 AA batteries (available separately).
The ergonomic design ensures that it fits comfortably in the hand, while the hanging loop allows you to keep it within reach in your area.
This small shaver can easily be thrown in a suitcase for trips outside the city. It offers insufficient shave for your legs, but it works beautifully on your armpits.
This model is also great for daughters who are just starting to learn the art of shaving. However, it is not ideal for people with coarse hair or for trimming your bush underneath.
Questions & Answers
Does this includes batteries?
No. It takes 2- AAA batteries
What type of batteries? They don't seem to be in the package.:(
Two "AAA" batteries
What does "foil shaver" mean?
I guess it means the perforated covering of the blades. The hair has to go through a hole and the blade behind the foil cuts it then. As opposed to the electric razors with those 3 circular thingamajigs on them that kinda pinch the hairs, this cuts smoother in my opinion. Hope this helps.
How to clean it ? I can't figure it out
Just blow on it I guess. I do not like this shaver for legs. I am going to buy the men's travel shaver. It will do a better job. Good luck.
I bought this shaver for my almost 11 year old daughter and it has been wonderful and easy for her to use. It's powerful and works well. To add to my recommendation, the design is super cute and the unit is compact enough to fit discretely into her toiletry bag when she goes on overnights or to sleep away camp. I'm not ready for her to use razors with sharp blades so this was a perfect compromise. If you're looking for a discrete shaver for yourself or a first time razor for your pre-teen, this one is it!
My first shaver was a Panasonic, a rechargeable electric shaver, and that eventually died. I went back to regular razors which nicked me a bit. I even tried Nair cream for a while which irritated my sensitive skin to no end. Then I went back to an electric shaver and found this in my drug store (this is my third one since I tend to replace electric shavers every few years or so). While it doesn't give the closest shave, I do feel and notice a difference in the amount of hair that's left (legs, arms, underarms, etc). It is also a painless, quick process and I like how the shaver is travel-friendly. Would definitely recommend this if you're looking for a decent shaver and something that's quick and easy to use.I will say though that if you have sensitive skin and your skin feels itchy after shaving, try using an anti-itch lotion before you shave. It has helped for me.
I love this thing so much! If you are in a rush or if you don’t want to shave your armpits/your hair on your armpits is too short to shave this thing is perfect, I wear tank tops to work every day so I always make sure that my under arms are shaved and this is saved me so much razor burn. You can also use it on your bikini line, legs, and your arms! It’s super easy to clean too and I have taken it on multiple airplanes! Extremely happy with this purchase, I actually just got my coworker the same one!
Super cute/colorful and easy to hold! My tweenage daughter loves it as her first shaver. She's autistic and weren't comfortable giving her a ladies razor, with her distractibility and sensory issues. We had her practice just gliding the shaver back and forth under her pits and even being off, it still shaved off her hair! Even better will save the battery ; )
15-Codream 4-in-1 Rechargeable Electric EpilatorOur number two is a powerhouse that also serves as a callus remover and hair clipper. It is the Codream 4-in-1 rechargeable electric epilator, Lady Shaver, callus remover pumice rolls and hair clipper for exfoliating dead skin and safe hair removal for women or men, and this is why we like it:
Contains an epilator head, a shaving head, a pumice head and a hair clipper that you can use to make your entire body smooth and hair-free.
Rechargeable, the wireless design is easy to use.
Delivers supple, spa-worthy feet with pumice rolls.
Here are some disadvantages that should be taken into account:
- The battery only has about 20 minutes of charging time.
- Epilator holder has 15 blades – on the low side for an epilator.
- The instructions do not say this, but the callus remover works best when you use it on wet feet so that the skin is soft when you start.
If you want the space-saving option for a four-in-one tool, you really can’t go wrong with this model.
Lov Loved Go. A little tug and all the hairs are gone.
My husband and I got this, interested in different attachments. We are both happy with how it works. The battery does not last long but it is easy to recharge it.
After a year, it still works. Thank you.

When Buying a Women’s Electric Razor
The history of ladies shavers is very interesting. Philips was the first in the market to perfect the automatic shaver in the 1930s. In the 1960s, the cordless shaver, unlike wire shavers, developed from there into a specialized shaver, from epilators to hair trimmers, or simply your standard shaver.
The construction of the shaver also changed, plastic was becoming the norm in contrast to heavy metals, making the shaver more compact and lighter and easier to carry. Nowadays there are a number of different designs of ladies’ razors on the market and they all offer great benefits as opposed to manual shaving.
If you are considering buying a women’s cordless shaver, you should consider a number of things. The type of body hair removal razor you need, whether you use it for both wet and dry shaving conditions, or perhaps you prefer an epilator for a traditional shaver. Consider whether you need a shaver that also offers a hair clipper.
Other things to consider are the number of blades on the shaver, this will determine the proximity of your shave. How long you can use the shaver without charging is another consideration. We look at some of the more relevant considerations when choosing the perfect shaver for women.
Type Of Electric Shaver
The type of shaver you select will make a big difference in how you can shave. If you select an epilator, you should know that this does not work in the same way as a standard shaver.
It pulls out unwanted hair, just like waxing, and although it can be a bit painful at first, it keeps your legs smooth and silky longer than a standard shaver. In fact, you only need to epilate every 4 weeks, instead of having to shave every week or even every few days. women’s legs-water
Choosing a wet and dry shaver is optimal because you can shave in the shower or in the bath or shave at a later stage with shaving gel or another lubricant.
This allows you to hydrate while you shave. Another thing to consider is whether the wet and dry electric shaver is suitable for use on all parts of your body, including your armpits.
Armpit skin is extremely sensitive and you need a shaver with hypoallergenic slats that are gentle on the skin. The best forearm shaver does not necessarily have to be the best to use on your legs and vice versa.
Battery and usage time
There are different types of shavers with different battery options. Some work on AA-size batteries, whether or not rechargeable, these are great for people who travel a lot and may not have access to power sources. Then there are some with built-in batteries that need to be connected to a power source to charge. Different models offer different charging times and operating times between charging cycles.
The usage time varies between 30 minutes and up to 70 minutes of continuous use before charging is required. Then there are some that do not have battery life and that must always be connected to a power source during use.
Various options are available here. You get the razor with a knife or you can have one with a maximum of four blades. Pop-up hair trimmers, sharp blades for roaming hairs and more. You get fixed electric shavers and then you get the rotating heads and floating blades. The spindle head blades are great because they adapt to the contours of your body and give you a smooth and silky shave.
Many sheets also contain moisturizing strips to prevent you from missing the dangers of body hair remover, burning shaving, skin irritation and bumps.
Epilators, on the other hand, do not have blades as such, but rather tweezers that pull out unwanted hair while you move the shaver over your skin.
Which functions should you consider?
- Battery life: a full battery can vary from 1 hour to 12 hours, depending on the model. You would like to make sure that you get at least a few shaves before you have to charge. There are some models with which you can quickly charge five minutes so that you can get one shave.
- Low Battery Indicator: This will remind you when it’s time to connect and charge your shaver.
- Automatic switch-off: this function allows the shaver to stop charging as soon as the battery is 100%. For some models, you must immediately unplug the power cord from the wall outlet when it is fully charged to prevent damage to the battery and shorten the battery life.
- Easy to clean: most razors come with a cleaning brush to make cleaning a breeze. Others can be easily rinsed, while a few have a self-cleaning system.
- Pop-up trimmer: this is an accessory found in multi-function shavers with a small pop-up blade for trimming / scraping certain delicate or curved parts, such as your armpits and bikini line.
- Ergonomic design: you want something that you can easily hold and feel comfortable in your hand, even when wet. It should also allow you to easily shave parts of your body without tiring your hand or wrist.
- Case: if you are a person who travels frequently, you want to take your shaver with you. A case ensures that you can take your shaver with you without damaging it or anything else in your luggage.
Although not all electric shavers for women are made equal, many of these shavers are of good quality. And although there are many opinions all over the world about what the best electric shaver for women, it’s really about personal preferences.
Only you can determine which shaver best fits your skin and that you can easily use and still fall within your budget.
