Shaving your head properly requires the best electric head shaver
Anyone who has ever done that knows that shaving your head is not as easy as it seems. It takes time and experience to maneuver comfortably with a razor along your scalp, it is difficult to see and achieve much of the area you are shaving.
Frankly speaking, it is difficult for most people to do a good job unless they have the right equipment for the job.
For those who are not particularly coordinated, using a manual straight razor is a recipe for a disaster. And because her electric shavers hold on for a long time, the standard is not built to touch the hair on the top of the head.
An electric shaver is a must-have for men who want a bald head.
You can use regular electric razors, but they do not get the job as a shaver, just for your head.
we have tested electric hair shaves in the past four years.
In our most recent tests, we tested more than 35 hours of seven devices on a group of volunteers.
We compared battery life, ease of use, warranty length and included accessories to determine which products were the best.
We are here for everything you need to know.

1-Phillips Norelco QC5580/40 Do-It-Yourself Hair Clipper Pro
This Philips Norelco model unique head design, the ability to cut longer hair before the balder accessory makes your head beautiful and shiny and its reasonable price.
Using is simple; all you have to do is select the corner that best suits you.
This makes it easier to access shaving in hard-to-reach areas such as the neck and sides of the head. In addition, it makes it easier to shave the beard, jawline, and chin. You simply turn the head to select the angle at which you want to shave, and the head stays flat on the scalp or skin, making it a skill to reach and shave everything from the sides of your head to your neckline. No need for contortions to reach anywhere.
The function of the QC5580 is the best of all electric shavers we have seen. First, use the trimmer to shorten the hair before you switch to the baler. The balder shaves very close to the skin and gives a smooth finish. This versatility makes this shaver indispensable.
The blades have rounded edges, to minimize cuts and for a smoother, more even shave. There are also two comb attachments, one for longer hair lengths and one for precision work.
It comes with a lithium-ion battery. It is good for one hour of use, after 60 minutes of charging. You can use it with or without the power cord for more portability.
The shaver has an indicator for the battery level; a white light for a full charge and an orange light for a low battery. This is important in case you are far away from a power source.
Questions & Answers
Does this come with a comb and scissors ?
I do not think so.
Can u wash this?
I don't know for sure, but I never thought it was necessary to wash mine. Clean it well after each use.
is this a corded or cordless clipper? Is it also 220 volt? what is the warranty
This is a tufted clipper, the box says 110-240 volts, the power adapter has an American plug with two flat blades. The warranty is 2 years.
what is the Voltage
100-240VAC Switching capacity
Please note when ordering, this is a wired version. It came up when searching for the wireless version and I did not view the description properly. Works fine otherwise; not their fault that I didn't pay attention! 🙂
Works well on long hair but needs to be improved to cut shorter on short hair.
This arrived very quickly and I was already able to give 2 of my boys a haircut. This is super light compared to my old Wahl hair clipper. Very good quality and very easy to use. I think this is great and I wish I had bought this earlier.
This clipper scored on the top day for a great price. Great work. No rechargeable battery makes charging so difficult, only that it runs out halfway through a cut - only works with a power cord!
2-Pitbull Gold Skull Shaver
Pitbull Gold Skull Shaver Smart is one of the best options if you shave your head regularly. The unique shape makes it easy to shave different contours of your head.
Please note that it takes 160 minutes for the battery to fully charge, which is not nearly as long as other devices we compared. Fortunately, you can also use this device if it is connected. You can use it on wet hair or even remove facial hair.
This device weighs only 8 grams, making it one of the lighter devices we have reviewed. When you have finished shaving, you can clean it by simply opening the tap and running hot water over it.
There is also a handy carrying bag, so you can keep everything organized or take with you when you are traveling.
The company only covers this device with a one-year warranty and does not contain any additional accessories.
We are convinced that you will love the Bald Eagle head shaver. It’s great if you’re a man who shaves his head regularly, but it’s also versatile enough to shave other parts of your face and body. It covers a wide area in a single pass and offers a close, clean shave.
The warranty of one year warranty of the Bald Eagle is not great. And you have to buy extra accessories because they do not come with the kit.
- a long time to charge the battery.
- The warranty lasts only one year.
- It does not contain guiding combs or precision trimmers.
Questions & Answers
why can't this item be shipped to my address
Currently, Amazon only ships Skull Shaver orders within the United States. If you want to place an order from outside the US UU., We have an online store specifically designed to place international orders. Our website is skullshaver.com
When will you ship internationally. I am unable to purchase this in New Zealand and would love to try.
We are planning to list our shavers on Amazon for New Zealand, but at this time we only send orders made there at skullshaver.com
Can I use shaving cream with this product?
Yes, that's possible. I would not use a shaving gel because it can absorb the sheets a bit
how does this work on afro amer scull
As an African-American man, it works well. In addition to the skull shaver, I use Andies Edgers to cut long hair and continue with the skull shaver to give it a smooth finish. Maintain a good supply of replaceable blades and clean after each use. I usually replace the blades every 3-4 months. I hope this helps
It is not always able to get as close as using a blade, but when used together with one, it is much easier to keep my head shaved. Update: 1/30/2013 I have been using the razor almost every day since I opened it for the first time. I discovered that with regular cleaning, daily use and a shaving retouch about twice a week, I can keep my head shaved with ease. So far, using only a cocoa butter cream, I have not had shaving burns or dry patches. I am not a naturally bald person, so I submitted the blades to a pretty good workout and so far they have maintained very well. I'll try to remember to update this if I ever have to get new blades (if that's an option). Update: 5/2/2013 (Update to 5 stars) While washing the heads, I let the medium slip. My hands and down the drain. He pulled the pipe, but it was light enough that the water had pushed it. I sent an email on a whim to see if they would be willing to sell me only the central head, so I would not have to buy the whole piece. In an hour, I received an answer from John Lyles, who is the inventor and partner of Skull Shaver, that they sent me a new boss, and do not worry. I love that kind of customer service, where they get the WOW factor. Just another reason why I recommend this product.
This could be long In general, I quite enjoy this shaver. It is comfortable to hold, easy to use and provides a good clean cut when it works. The first two months I had it and I never had a problem. Then, one day it was noisy, it turned slowly and finally it closed and ran a lot. I took out the blade and the engine worked perfectly with nothing tied. I did some googling and found a page on how to remove the four outer blades and clean them. Once you do this, you will know firsthand that the manufacturers claim that running it in the water for a few seconds is not enough for a good enough job. After I cleaned it, I got a little more shave and it happened again. I ordered the replacement of 2 packages of blades and the first shave went well once more. That sheet closed around the third shave with it (I'm not trying to cut long hairs with it by the way). At this point I felt quite frustrated because I am implemented and I can not send and receive packages quickly to rectify the purchase. Since the sheet did not work at all at this point, I thought I would disarm it completely and see what I could do. Come to discover it, run it in water for a few minutes DEFINITIVELY do not do the job of cleaning it well. the central part was completely full of hair and was all fitted with the oil that was there from the manufacturer and some of the gears that turned the outer blades were stuck and stuck; therefore, everything was locked up. All the blades come out of the momentum of the central blades. I cleaned all the hair and did my best to get rid of the unpleasant oil, it seems that they use a very thick lubricant that stuck fast. I put it back together with a small amount of basic mineral oil, nice and light, that does not accumulate (the same as Wahl clipper oil). I've only used it once since then, but it was the best cut I've had so far! So, although it seems silly to pay so much for something that has to rebuild the blades directly from the manufacturer, it really is a great base unit, the blades could be put together better. *** For me, use lectric shaving With this makes it a better experience too ***
3-Remington HC4250 Shortcut Pro Self Hair Trimmers
Okay, we’ve made the list, we’ve done it on purpose.
Yet it is still a useful comparison.
The Wahl trimmer was completely corded because it had a high voltage. the power to the cutting blades.
To do that, although it was heavy and attached to a power cord, which reduced maneuverability.
This fact, from Remington, is the absolute opposite.
On the one hand, t had sacrificed, with a lithium battery that provides the shortest lead time or any shaver to make our list today.
However, it does this to keep both the size and weight of this shaver as low as possible.
Remington then linked this low weight and small dimensions with a very impressive ergonomic design that fits exactly in the palm of your hand.
That makes this shaver incredibly easy to operate.
With this device, here is actually a very shallow learning curve because it feels so natural in your hand. It also features an extra wide cutting blade that cuts all the way to shaving time.
The blades are also of very good quality, as you would expect from Remington.
No fewer than nine adjustment combs with different lengths can be placed here, so you can style your hair or sideburns if you want, just shave everything away!
As we said, the battery is a bit weak.
You will not notice a significant decrease in power delivery, but be prepared to charge this device a little more often than some of his colleagues.
However, if control and ease of use are most important to you, this may be the best electric shaver for you.
Questions & Answers
Can I purchase longer combs for this? (ie: 1")
Ben, as far as I know, you can't buy combs that are longer than the fairly generous set that comes with the clipper. Because they are of a unique style and have to be specially made for this product. You could check it with Remington, but I am not aware of longer combs.
I want a bald shave and not a buzz cut. Would this product help?
Hello, it is certain that the razor does not shave on the skin like a Mach3 razor. This razor shaves in the same way as a normal hair clipper, but is used much more efficiently, making shaving much faster. I sometimes shave my head in front of me and other times I take a Gillette razor. Sorry for my weak English, I am French.
Can I shave my beard with this?
No. This pulled out my facial hair, which was very painful. This is not strong enough to cut thick facial hair. My beard is short.
Would this be good for shaving my head I usually cut my hair with 0 clip on clippers
My husband uses this to shave his head all the time. It is easier to use this clipper than normal clippers. He can grab it better and get a uniform overall cut.
For those who: 1) do not want to spend $ 20 every 2 weeks on a haircut; and 2) I like to keep my hair short ... this is a GREAT machine. I am 66 years old, and although I used to keep my hair longer, I have rejected the hairstyle aspect in favor of cleanliness. Usually, I ruffle my hair but I do not want the chrome-domed look of a shaved head. And besides, I stopped shaving a long time ago. So ... since I like to look clean and professional, I was used to waiting in a hairdresser to disburse cash every two weeks. Then I started looking for alternatives. I found this razor and I could not be happier. It takes about 3 minutes for my hair to have the desired length (use accessory 1.5) and clean the shaver. It is so easy to do this a couple of times a week. And the shaver will pay itself in 6 weeks. What else can I ask?
He is an awesome clipper to cut a dog's hair. We have a 4 year old Westie, called Millie, and I always cut my hair. I had an older clipper that was useful, but this new one was amazing. I gave my dog a haircut in about 10 minutes. It gave a very even cut that is not very close or shaved. I used the longer 5/8 "blade guard, which was perfect, I could go over her hair and remove her hair immediately, I used a movement as if I was brushing it ... I would go in one direction and then I would go back to the other direction to get a uniform cut.Areas like ears, eyes and other sensitive areas will need scissors, but I could make your legs, neck, body, head, most of your face and tail with this thing in a very short period time compared to other clippers this is much quieter and does not have a strong vibration to scare a dog I have my dog lying down and just turn it until it is clipped, then I make it sit or stand to do a closer job. I know that hairdressers work with the dog standing up, but I feel that it is quieter when it does not have to be stopped all the time. The Remington shortcut was loaded in a few hours and kept a full charge all the time I was trimming Millie. Very happy with my purchase. Thank you. to read my reviewBecky Brooks
Exactly what I need and nothing of the bloat. My goal is to keep my scalp as close to bald as possible without the razor and it does it quickly and easily. FYI - I threw away all the plastic pieces ... I don't need them. Once you do that, everything fits in the case 🙂
I bought this kit to replace a beard trimmer that I used to shave my hair on my head every other day or so. The problem with the regular trimmer was the small blade, as well as the irritation of the hair clipper on my scalp. This thing worked beautifully out of the box, even without a full charge on the battery. It has reduced the time I spent shaving my head by at least half. It is especially easier to cut the back of my head and get a nice smooth gradient of hair, instead of spots / uncut areas that you can get with a smaller trimmer. Usually I can take over a place once instead of several times, which has reduced the irritation I mentioned. The battery life also looks great on this little thing, although I usually connected it during use. I have really rinsed it with water only once or twice, although it is water resistant / resistant. I prefer to use the brush with which it has cleaned the blades. Overall this thing is excellent, and I would buy another one if I needed it. Hopefully the battery and the blades will last quite a while!
4-Panasonic ES-LA63-S Arc4 Electric Razor Wet/Dry Shaver
Okay, so it does not have the most catchy name. But the Panasonic ES-LA63-S has some pretty impressive figures. Specifically, this electric shaver has a four-bladed foil cutting system with a two-cylinder system.
This shaver has its own LCD screen, which is certainly a unique feature.
The display shows the current battery level, the charging status, and other operational information.
Accessories are a bit on the light side. Included is an AC charging cable, but no charging stand.
In particular, replacement foils or sheets are missing. You will probably need them at a certain time, so be prepared for these extra costs at a certain time in the queue.
Motor one moves the shaver sideways, while the second motor moves up and down. Blades rotate with a robust cut of 14,000 per minute. In addition, every time you get a smooth, smooth shave because the blades are at an angle of 30 degrees.
This is a solid, reliable foil shaver that ensures a smooth shave. In addition, this shaver has a number of interesting functions, including the LCD screen and the ability to shave wet hair. Although not many accessories are included, this shaver is a reliable, powerful choice.
- not include replacement blades
Questions & Answers
Can I use this razor in the shower?
Yes, you can use it in the shower. However, make sure that it is not used when it is connected to a power source.
How does this compare with the Panasonic ES8103S which according to Amazon's Best Foil Sellers is 2nd on the list and has more reviews then this one? same with the Panasonic ES8243A?
I had the ES8243A, which was an excellent razor, but the ES-LA63-S is even better, the head is more flexible and rotates faster, so it seems a bit more powerful. I did not intend to replace my ES8243A and I was actually looking for sheets / foil (it would cost around $ 50) and stumbled upon a coupon for the ES-LA63-S for around $ 80, so I got it. I must say that it is a better razor in almost every way, but not by much. Both razors kill my old rotating razors and I doubt I'll ever go back to them. I've never tried version 3 of this, so I can not comment on that model, but it has fewer blades and a much slower rotation speed, so I guess it's not as good as the ES8243A ...
how long does the cleaner last?
They seem to last a long time. I use mine in the shower, so I usually clean iTunes running water, then put it in the crib for the drying cycle. Occasionally I execute it during the cleaning cycle, and the cartridges last for about 4-5 months each.
I am concerned about the life of the battery, when the battery dies I assume you can't replace it and because the shaver won't work with just the power cord plugged into it, it's then basically a paper weight isn't it? What sort of lifetime am I going to get out of it? and are they any good electric shaver's out there …
That is a valid concern. The dead battery is the only reason why I changed my Panasonic shavers. I have even tried to change the batteries in my last one, but without success. Even if it is sturdy, it works with two 1.2 volt batteries, probably the capacity is different from the normal rechargeable battery. However, my last Panasonic lasted four to five years before the batteries began to lose power. Before I switched to Panasonic, I had the same problem with Philips. I guess the manufacturers are not worried about the amount of garbage we put on the planet. At least not yet and not all.
I am a woman who was fed up with women's razors. I decided to take the step and buy a razor for men. Really, could you say "men" or "men" more in the copy of this razor? I thought that with so many criticisms by so many users I would try this. I thought that men's facial hair had to be harder than the hair on my body, so this shaver should outperform any shaver I had in the past. Bingo. My risk paid off. I love this shaver! Although it is somewhat bulky I have become accustomed. I do not have to go places 7 or 8 times as I have done with other razors. (Keeping it at 90 degrees is crucial) It's much quieter than other shavers I've also had. There is a lock so you do not accidentally turn off the shaver while working with it. It is fully charged within one hour. He shaves gently in dry, but if he uses Cremo Shave Creme, the results are even better. The LCD screen is very useful and will even tell you how much time has passed shaving. (TMI, 3 minutes on legs this morning) The price is a little higher than I would like. I think you get what you pay for here. Is shaving more pleasant? No. Nothing could really do that. More efficient? Certainly.P.S. Ladies, it seems that I have not suffered any damage with a razor that was not pink. 😉
Gregory L. Dauria
I never thought that I would ever use an electric razor, but I had a very disturbing experience with a fixed blade razor after almost 40 years of shaving. A slight cut in the side of my nose introduced a bacterial infection that put me in the hospital. The speed and tenacity of the infection were disturbing and required intravenous antibiotics to stop it. The sheet that cut me had a few days, I always rinse and clean my razor and the fact that I got infected led me to a decision to stop shaving with a fixed blade. I carefully searched for a good electric razor thinking that, even with an excellent electric razor, I would never be able to shave with a fixed blade cut. This Panasonic electric razor exceeded my expectations. It offers a close shave and is easy to use. I was going to buy a Braun, but a series of comments indicated that Braun razors were very difficult to clean. The Panasonic is easy to use, easy to clean and provides a very smooth shave. I could not be more pleased with his performance. Highly recommended
Well, I'm old enough to remember the old commercials of Remington and Norelco. Now it's out of place, and with the prospect of the fact that I've had at least a dozen different electric shavers in my life, I was in the market for a new one. The one I had before this Panasonic was a Braun 5 series ... I had it for 12 years because it was very close to matching the performance of a razor and it was reliable. It did not take long to arrive with a growth of 2 to 3 days, it was almost painful to cut, mainly because the replacement blades were very inferior to the original ones, and my face felt it! I decided to see if there were shavers out there I had less than $ 100, that could replace my old workhorse Braun, and give me at least a little better results, and was able to wet / dry. The Panasonic adjusted to the account, and I decided to try it. When I got it and saw the shaving head shaving, I thought I had made a mistake ... that I would in no way be able to get to those difficult areas in the jaw line and on both sides under the chin. In addition, he feared that the famous "skin break in the period" of which all speak. My first shave was just amazing ... he got into the areas that worried me without a whimper ... and he navigated through all the other areas like a lawnmower through a 9 'X 12' lawn. I cut my time by half and the results were very impressive ... and did not irritate my skin a bit. So I decided not to shave for 3 days (I'm retired, so I can get away with it) and see how this test was handled. It hit the biggest growth on my chin ... the engine slightly changed its tone, but it cut it ... and without any pain ... as if it was a day's growth. I had to make some additional passes, but what usually took me 5 minutes to achieve with my old Braun, it only took 3 minutes, with fantastic results. Let's be honest ... no electric razor can match a shaver, but this Panasonic is as close as I've seen or felt. Add the bonus that you can moisten the shave, and place it under the tap or shower to clean it, and you will have a real winner! Frankly, for the money ... it would be hard to find a better electric razor and the fact that it cost less than $ 100 makes it a real gem. The only thing that is missing is that it does not come with a support or support ... great thing, I put it in the corner of my vanity, and it does it well. This shaver is a winner in price, performance and convenience. Give it a shot.
I am a woman and I bought it for myself! I needed a high-quality electric razor that could shave my legs. The traditional disposable razors were chewing my legs (I guess after 50, your skin changes). So my next best option is to find a great electric razor. Traditional women's electric razors fall flat. The old adage: 'You get what you pay for' - it's so true! This is a bit more expensive, but it works very well! I recommend this electric razor for women!
5-Wahl Clipper Shaver
The Wahl 7339 is the least expensive shaver we have tested and does not offer as many functions as other devices. Surprisingly, it is covered by the strongest guarantee, which lasts for three years.
One of the best features of this shaver is the hypoallergenic titanium leaves, which help reduce irritation during shaving. You can use this appliance to cut facial hair, but it has no adverse effect on wet hair.
Unfortunately, it can take several hours before the battery is fully charged. Since there are no fixed options, you have to wait until there is enough battery to use it. In our tests, this shaver lasted only four to five times to shave an area.
Although the results were fluid, they were not as consistent as other shavers. Fortunately, you can also use the built-in pop-up trimmer to smooth your shave.
It is also one of the heaviest razors in our equation, weighing 14.4 grams, making it relatively heavy. When you’re done, use a dry brush to clean it because it’s not designed to be cleaned with water.
- relatively heavy.
- You can not clean it by rinsing it under water.
- It takes a long time to charge the battery.
Questions & Answers
What makes this product razor bump free?
My husband's beard is real tuff, so I sent this back, not strong enough to cut his beard.
Does this shaver use the same foils and blades as the Model 7367-200 ?
The 7367-200 includes a sensitive head, a comfortable head and an ultra clean head.
Can you use this with shaving cream/gel?
We do not recommend the use of shaving cream / gel for this unit. It is not a rinse unit.
Does this product live up to its “bump-free” advertising?
Absolutely. There we have a trick to not have bugs with standard shavers. The heat opens the pores and the cold closes them. The closed hydrated pores leave the skin free from the irritation that causes the bumps. With this dry shaver it is not necessary to open the pores. There are three different levels of plates that you can buy. I recommend that you approach comfort at the beginning so that your hair follicles adjust to the new shape or cutout and then move on to the ultra clean sheet when you are ready. After each use, it is better to moisturize the scalp to avoid irritation. Also, do not use a brush on the sheets to avoid damage. Thank me after
Works like a charm. My only complaint is that the cutting blade is VERY delicate and when the holes are cleaned, the brush can snag and break. BE SURE to get an additional sheet or two or you will end up with cuts from the broken sheets.
Michael Gatta Jr.
This wireless razor far exceeded my expectations ... it is extremely powerful ... It shaves very close and it is soft ... very similar to a shaving razor ... Those of Con are ... it is a bit noisy ... the trimmers do not lock well ... Otherwise, very pleased. I would recommend it to a friend ... Michael .... 66 year old, Waterbury, CT ..
I love this product. I use it to shave my head and I shave well every time.
I do not regret having bought this shaver. It offers a clean shave and keeps your load well. It works best if you do not let your hair pass about 3/16 of an inch high between shaves. I shave my head every two or three days. If there are drawbacks, it is a bit noisy and it takes about 6 hours for a full recharge, but for me, these are not problems because they have already saved me a lot of money on trips to the barber and do a much better job than I usually got from them using a Electric razor.
6-Wahl Professional Balding Clipper
The Wahl 5-Star Balding Clipper delivers high performance with a powerful electromagnetic motor that cuts at twice the speed of rotating motors.
It also provides a cut described as (operatively close.)
Wahl is a powerhouse for clippers, although most of their models have a cord. The 5-Star 8110 has a V5000 + electromagnetic motor that cuts even thick hair quickly.
Accessories include two combs, oil, cleaning brush, red knife protector, and instructions. This is a wire-free shaver.
The cord is eight feet long and resistant to chemicals.
As a shaving head shaver, you must be near a power outlet. This is perhaps not the best shaver you travel with. But if you want to use a strong, fast shaver at home, the Wahl 8110 cuts hair faster or faster than practically everything on the market.
This shaver really only works in situations where the user is near a power outlet. This certainly limits the portability.
However, this is an excellent shaver for intensive use. Even suitable for use with professional haircutters!
If you want to shave your head as fast as possible, this is the shaver to choose. Although there are not many accessories and the operation can be somewhat loud, this shaving head cuts away thick head hair at record speed.
- Adjusting the blade is necessary for a completely smooth shave appearance
- Only with a cable
Questions & Answers
is this the red with black machine clipper or the purple as far as the color
It is not purple
can this clipper shave my bald
Yes, it is a very good mower. It is very powerful. I use the clip included with the package.
are these clippers fairly quiet?
Yes, they have a very quiet buzzing sound profile.
Are they good clippers for bald heads
They approach almost as much as a razor without the hassle. I had a pair for about five years and I replaced them with them because I like them a lot. But as others have said, they will cut you off if you enter the wrong angle and apply a lot of pressure.
I still have a full head of hair, but I like to shave my head and I've been shaving my head intermittently for 15 years, and this cutter is perfect for the look I want: what it is to shave my head as short as possible. as possible, while you still leave a stubble very, very, very light that you can still distinguish my line of hair. And this cutter does it because it comes with Wahl's shortest blade, which is a 6x0 blade that cuts to .2mm. In addition, the guide combs make it very easy to make several types of fades, if you choose. And the V5000 engine that comes with this clipper is powerful and gives you a NICE, SOFT and VERY ISOLATED, WITHOUT SPEAKING THE SIZE IN ANY WAY. For those people who complain about cutting their scalp with this clipper, I think: 1) they are holding the clipper incorrectly, 2) they are using the wrong angle, 3) their blades are not aligned correctly, or 4) a combination of a or more of those things. Also, for those people who give this clipper a bad review because they do not shave their heads like Mr. Clean, use a razor blade, not a clipper. Because no matter which cutter or trimmer you buy, you will NEVER shave your head like a razor blade because you have to have a lower blade and an upper cutting blade, and no matter how thin someone can make the lower blade, it will ALWAYS be between your scalp and the upper cutting blade. Basically, you are giving this clipper a bad review because you expect this clipper to do something it is not designed for. That would be like buying a supercharged Hemi V8 and then complaining about fuel consumption. Anyway, the cutter feels strong and well made although it is made of plastic. And it fits comfortably in both my hands and the power cord is much thicker and longer (8 feet) than my other buzzers, which is good. And I was a little worried about warming up the cutter with its strongest motor, but it stayed cool during my 35 to 40 minute shave. I will HIGHLY RECOMMEND this clipper for those people who do not look for a Mr. Clean look but a very, very short shaved head. For all others, USE A SHEET OF RAZOR.P.S. I added a couple of images in the client's image section after using the 5-star series baldness cutter to give people an idea of how short this cutter cuts. I hope that helps.
This is my second purchase of this clipper. I bought my first Wahl 5-Star Balding Clipper last June, so it lasted about a year. Yes, I'm disappointed because it only lasted a year, but the money I saved by going to the hairdresser made up for the loss. If I do not get at least 2 years this time, I'll move to Andi's Masters, which is the cream of the crop in the hair clippers ... even if it's about double the price of this Wahl. Here are some tips if you buy this trimmer: 1) Adjust the blades before using. There are some Youtube videos that can guide you in the proper setting.2) Clean and grease the blades after each use. It is not necessary to remove the blades each time. Use the small brush to clean the hairs3) Do not keep the device in the bathroom. Keep it stored in a dry place away from moisture. Otherwise, the blades may rust. 4) Every month, remove the blades for a complete cleaning. Use compressed air to remove all hairs trapped in the unit5) If your unit heats up during moderate use (less than 5 minutes), it is a sign that it should be cleaned. Do not expect him to get as close as wet shaving If you like only a very clear shadow, like my wife, then this trimmer is perfect. If my second unit does not last, I will change my opinion to 2 stars. For a $ 50 trimmer, I expect it to last at least 2 years with moderate use (approximately once a week).
Very good job I will not use a razor again. No cuts or wounds or drama. It exceeded my expectations. However, I was disappointed that it did not come with a case. I'll use the one that came with my $ 20 clippers.
I'm glad I ignored the negative reviews, this product was just what I was looking for. I shaved my head without a guard and felt it cut my hair shorter than other scissors I had used in the past. I have been shaving my head without guard for about 10 years and I was worried about the purchase because some of the pictures that people posted with their heads were cut off. I tried it on the upper part of the thigh before using it on the head and it had no scratches, so I did it with my head. High quality clippers and I would definitely recommend or buy again. I'm not sure what the people who scratched there were doing, but I have not had any problems. Great product, good price and mowers are paid only after a few haircuts. If you're looking to comb your hair, these are not for you, but if you're just trying to get attention, definitely buy.
7-HeadBlade ATX All Terrain Head Razor
Note: If you are interested in the HeadBlade, consider buying the kit that comes with the razor, shaving cream and replacement blades.
If you want a shaver designed specifically for the head, if you want a shaver, you can enjoy it a bit and if you want a shaver that doesn’t break the bank, the HeadBlade line is tailor-made – made to measure for you.
Of the various models of the company, we have chosen the ATX All Terrain Head Razor.
Why would you call ahead shaver an ATX? Because it looks like a toy ATV. Yes, we are serious. At the front of this small shaver are two wheels with the spring-loaded, four-blade cartridge suspended at the rear, on a head that looks like the blade of a snow plow.
You grab the HeadBlade by the handle (in the shape of something like the seat of an ATV) with your finger in the designated hole to get a firm grip and roll the shaver over your scalp.
That does two things: it brings you back to the time you were three and loved playing with toy cars, and it shaves your head up close.

First off I'd like to make something clear: this is the best shaver I've used on my head. It contorts around the natural indentations formed on your dome and it makes shaving quick, efficient, and painless. Why the 3 stars? The handle has a very weak point at the swivel that will snap off if any awkward side or downward pressure is applied to the razor portion of the handle. In terms of shaving this isn't a problem, as the handle is designed to easily withstand the pressure from the handle. But if you plan on traveling with it (as I have been trying) the top half can snap off in your toiletry or backpack. I'm now having to buy a 3rd handle to replace the one that just broke on me and at $20 a pop this is becoming a bit expensive to keep replacing. HeadBlade makes a Traveling case for their razors and I urge anyone who plans to travel with this razor to purchase this case alongside it as I will be doing with my next purchase. If you don't plan to be traveling with this razor at all, then you shouldn't have any problems with this product.
I love that the blades are fine, I've had sharper blades before; but the real handle is big. It makes shaving the head very fast and easy, it does not even need a mirror! A tip, I prefer to go with the grain and simply make several passes against the wounds or go with the grain and then against.
I've been shaving my head for quite some time and I've owned the original HeadBlade Sport model, then the ATX model a couple of years later, and now the MOTO. I have to say that each version has been a good evolution of the previous one. This seems to do a slightly better job than the ATX with each stroke of the blade and I like the smaller size to be behind and around the ears.
I have been using a HeadBlade for more than 15 years. Finally I had to replace my original. This works in the opposite direction but it was easy to change it. If this lasts as long as the last one, I would give it a 6. If you are shaving your head and you are not using a HeadBlade, you have no idea what you are missing.
What Exactly Are Electric Head Shavers?
Electric shavers are, as the name suggests, electric shavers designed for your scalp.
They have become more popular in recent years now that the bald appearance has become more acceptable and suitable for many, many men.
Electric shavers generally fit into two categories: foil and rotating:
- Foil shavers have metal foil on the shaving head that pulls the hair towards the cutting blades. Foil shavers are better for sensitive skin.
- Rotary shavers have blades that cut in a circular motion and follow the contours of your head during shaving.
The good news is that advances in electric shaver technology have made it easier for men to shave their heads. And if you use an electric shaver designed for your scalp, make sure you get the cut that is closest to the skin.

How to Choose Best Electric Head Shaver
While we did a lot of research, there is simply not enough time to test every electric shaver on the market. But do not worry, we did our homework. When finding the best electric shaver, several factors were taken into account, including personal experience and customer reviews.
There are several things that you should consider when choosing an electric shaver. Depending on your skin and hair type, the correct shaver can greatly influence the effectiveness of a session and the softness of your skin afterward. If you have sensitive skin, you should choose a shaver designed to reduce redness and irritation. If you naturally have hair, you probably need a more powerful shaver to cut your hair effectively. Here are some other things to consider:
- The batteries of the best electric head shaver can last 70 to 90 minutes. However, it is more common that shavers have a lifetime of about one hour or less. If you plan to be away from a power outlet for a reasonable period of time or if you use your shaver for a long time, you should find one with longer use. The best shavers can be used both wirelessly and with a cord so that no matter how low the battery is, you can always get your shave.
- There are three important shaving technologies: rotation, foil, and knives. Rotating shavers work best for thick or coarse hair, especially if you do not need a super clean shave. Foil shavers are by far the most common and work best with fine hair and short shaves. However, it is likely that you should shave your head more often to keep it smooth. Shaver’s that use knives usually also have shaving accessories, so you can shave your hair instead of cutting it.
- The best electric head shaver does not weigh too much and is well balanced, allowing you to place an equal amount of pressure around your head for a consistent shave. A rotating shaver head can also significantly improve the accuracy of your shave when you come into difficult places such as behind the ears. When you are done, you will appreciate having a shaver that is easy to clean up. Here you can save time by using a shaver that can use warm running water to remove hair. For other products, you should use cleaning oil and a brush to keep them clean.
- Some electric head shaver comes with accessories, which usually contain guide combs, a storage box, and a charging stand. None of these things is completely necessary, but they can make shaving easier. Guidebook combs allow you to choose specific hair lengths and are usually supplied with shavers that use blade technology. These can also be useful if you want to cut facial hair. Storage boxes can help you keep your shaver clean and organized, but it can also make it easier to travel with it.
The Final Words :
The best electric head shaver can help you embrace the bald look with confidence. The best devices will make the process easier by making consistent, smooth cuts and simple cleaning processes.
Whether you want a completely bare shave or just a really good one, you can find a device that works for your needs.
There is, of course, another electric head shaver that will also work very well when shaving the head; choosing one comes down to the budget, used technology (foil or rotating) and possibilities. This article is intended to help you refine your options.
When choosing what the best electric head shaver should be, make sure that you take into account the specific characteristics of the razor that is outlined in this post.
Some options are a bit expensive, but in the long term, the higher the price of a more capable and comfortable shaver is worthwhile. Just think of all the money that you save to stop getting haircuts.
