What Exactly Are Electric Head Shavers?
Electric shavers are, as the name suggests, electric shavers designed for your scalp.
They have become more prevalent in recent years now that the smooth appearance has become more acceptable and suitable for many, many men.
Electric shavers generally fit into two categories: foil and rotating:
- Foil shavers have metal foil on the shaving head that pulls the hair towards the cutting blades. Foil shavers are better for sensitive skin.
- Rotary shavers have blades that cut in a circular motion and follow the contours of your head during shaving.
The good news is that advances in electric shaver technology have made it easier for men to shave their heads. And if you use an electric shaver designed for your scalp, make sure you get the cut that is closest to the skin.
However, if you are more interested in hair clippers, read our review about the best balding clippers. Or just,
Things To Consider When Buying An Electric Shaver
Before going into our reviews for an electric shaver, in this first section, we will emphasize the features you should consider when reading the review section.
You must remember them, and they will help you find the right shaver that meets your needs, because each function is more or less important, depending on what you are looking for in the razor that suits you best and you head.
Although all of the products that we look at below are shavers specially designed for shaving heads, manufacturers have different interpretations of what a shaved head is.
Some other men are not as interested in a smooth finish as only their shaving hair turns into stubble.
We have many hair trimmers that are specially designed to do that.
Bald, stubble, or even a little longer, there is something on the list that is suitable for everyone.
Cord Versus Cordless
Does the shaver have a cord: if so, how long is the cable:
A short cable hurts in the butt when you navigate through the space between your socket and your mirror.
If you choose a corded option, measure the length that you need, and ensure that the cord has a sufficient range.
Like most devices in our lives, the market goes to wireless for maximum convenience.
Wireless options are always friendly to take with you because you never know if you have access to a power outlet.
However, if it has a battery, examine the battery life.
Can it be used multiple times without charging, or is it in principle on the charging station:
Again, if you travel a lot, consider whether you want to take your charger with you.
Regarding the durability of the battery itself, you need to know if the cells need to be replaced regularly. If this is the case, replacing them is easy and cost-effective.
This varies from corded trimmer to various models with complete waterproofing.
These tools are cool because you can take them under the shower to shave your dome while you have a scrub.
There are various products with partial waterproofing in the middle.
What we mean here is that the blade can (usually) be removed and rinsed underwater.
This makes cleaning up a bit easier.
Take the time to view the required maintenance routines for each shaver you are considering.
We will dive into it later but put, and some electric shavers are easier to maintain than others.
Since you must clean your shaver after each use, this is a vital feature to think about.
Also, you must take into account the full life of your shaver, including when and how to replace the blades or heads.
If you think the maintenance process of a particular shaver is too complicated, you may want to see a simpler and more convenient option.
10 Best Electric Head Shaver On The Market
we have tested electric hair shaves in the past four years.
In our most recent tests, we tested more than 35 hours of ten devices on a group of volunteers.
We compared battery life, ease of use, warranty length, and included accessories to determine which products were the best.
We are here for everything you need to know.
The following is included in this list is the QC5580 / 40. This is unique from the others. It features a 180-degree swivel head with a compact, comfortable grip for a perfectly smooth shave.
This Philips Norelco model unique head design, the ability to cut longer hair before the balder accessory, makes your head beautiful and shiny, and its reasonable price.
Using is simple; all you have to do is select the corner that best suits you.
This makes it easier to access shaving in hard-to-reach areas such as the neck and sides of the head. Also, it makes it easier to shave the beard, jawline, and chin. You turn the head to select the angle at which you want to cut, and the head stays flat on the scalp or skin, making it a skill to reach and cut everything from the sides of your head to your neckline — no need for contortions to reach anywhere.
The function of the QC5580 is the best of all-electric shavers we have seen. First, use the trimmer to shorten the hair before you switch to the baler. The balder shaves very close to the skin and gives a smooth finish. This versatility makes this shaver indispensable.
The blades have rounded edges to minimize cuts and for a smoother, more even shave. There are also two comb attachments, one for longer hair lengths and one for precision work.
It comes with a lithium-ion battery. It is suitable for one hour of use, after 60 minutes of charging. You can use it with or without the power cord for more portability.
The shaver has an indicator for the battery level, white light for a full charge, and orange light for a low battery. This is important in case you are far away from a power source.
- Self-sharpening, fully washable blades
- Rotating head for hard-to-reach places
- Cordless battery life up to one hour
- Has a function that prevents the comb from moving
- The finger holes may be small for some
- Not for left-handed people
Questions & Answers
Is this a corded or cordless clipper? Is it also 220 volt? what is the warranty
This is a tufted clipper, the box says 110-240 volts, the power adapter has an American plug with two flat blades. The warranty is 2 years.
Guys our Phillips works without cable??
My philips doesn't work without a cable
What is the Voltage?
100-240VAC Switching capacity
Is this a good shaver for your head?
No, it's not good for that at all. The broad teeth on the guide end with leaving "paths" on your head. Even if you take the guide off, he won't get very close either.

Please note when ordering, this is a wired version. It came up when searching for the wireless version and I did not view the description properly. Works fine otherwise; not their fault that I didn't pay attention! 🙂
Works well on long hair but needs to be improved to cut shorter on short hair.
Pitbull Gold Skull Shaver Smart is one of the best options if you shave your head regularly. The unique shape makes it easy to cut different contours of your head.
It has a 90-minute battery life, so you can use it longer than any other shaver in this equation before recharging. A light will come on to alert you that the battery is low.
Please note that it takes 160 minutes for the battery to fully charge, which is not nearly as long as other devices we compared. Fortunately, you can also use this device if it is connected. You can use it on wet hair or even remove facial hair.
This device weighs only 8 grams, making it one of the lighter devices we have reviewed. When you have finished shaving, you can clean it by simply opening the tap and running hot water over it.
There is also a handy carrying bag, so you can keep everything organized or take with you when you are traveling.
The company only covers this device with a one-year warranty and does not contain any additional accessories.
We are convinced that you will love the Bald Eagle head shaver. It’s great if you’re a man who shaves his head regularly, but it’s also versatile enough to cut other parts of your face and body. It covers a vast area in a single pass and offers a close, clean shave.
The warranty of one year warranty of the Bald Eagle is not great. And you have to buy extra accessories because they do not come with the kit.
- Extremely sharp
- Great ergonomic design
- Powerful and easy to operate
- The battery does not last long
- A bit pricey
Questions & Answers
I have a Bald Eagle Pro, what is the difference?
From what I have read, the Bald Eagle Pro, Essentials and Smart are just three different models that came out at different times. I believe that the Bald Eagle Essentials is the earliest model and it does not have the battery screen like the Pro and Smart. It also has a longer charging time. But as far as the difference between the Pro and the Smart is concerned, it is only the battery screen and the price there is. The Pro only has the light indicator for the battery display and the Smart actually has numbers that indicate the percentage of remaining battery. And the Pro is also ten dollars cheaper than the Smart. Unlike the two, they are practically the same.
How does this work on afro amer scull?
As an African-American man, it works well. In addition to the skull shaver, I use Andies Edgers to cut long hair and continue with the skull shaver to give it a smooth finish. Maintain a good supply of replaceable blades and clean after each use. I usually replace the blades every 3-4 months. I hope this helps
How do you clean shaver head?
Remove the shaving head and then remove the 4 corner blades and the center blade. Wash everything, let it dry and reassemble it. I usually brush it and then wash it. Just be careful to align the pieces correctly when reassembling them. It's a bit painful, so I do not necessarily do it with every use, but if you do not, the hair is accumulating inside the unit.
Can I use shaving cream with this product?
Yes, that's possible. I would not use a shaving gel because it can absorb the sheets a bit

It is not always able to get as close as using a blade, but when used together with one, it is much easier to keep my head shaved. Update: 1/30/2013 I have been using the razor almost every day since I opened it for the first time. I discovered that with regular cleaning, daily use and a shaving retouch about twice a week, I can keep my head shaved with ease. So far, using only a cocoa butter cream, I have not had shaving burns or dry patches. I am not a naturally bald person, so I submitted the blades to a pretty good workout and so far they have maintained very well. I'll try to remember to update this if I ever have to get new blades (if that's an option). Update: 5/2/2013 (Update to 5 stars) While washing the heads, I let the medium slip. My hands and down the drain. He pulled the pipe, but it was light enough that the water had pushed it. I sent an email on a whim to see if they would be willing to sell me only the central head, so I would not have to buy the whole piece. In an hour, I received an answer from John Lyles, who is the inventor and partner of Skull Shaver, that they sent me a new boss, and do not worry. I love that kind of customer service, where they get the WOW factor. Just another reason why I recommend this product.
This could be long In general, I quite enjoy this shaver. It is comfortable to hold, easy to use and provides a good clean cut when it works. The first two months I had it and I never had a problem. Then, one day it was noisy, it turned slowly and finally it closed and ran a lot. I took out the blade and the engine worked perfectly with nothing tied. I did some googling and found a page on how to remove the four outer blades and clean them. Once you do this, you will know firsthand that the manufacturers claim that running it in the water for a few seconds is not enough for a good enough job. After I cleaned it, I got a little more shave and it happened again. I ordered the replacement of 2 packages of blades and the first shave went well once more. That sheet closed around the third shave with it (I'm not trying to cut long hairs with it by the way). At this point I felt quite frustrated because I am implemented and I can not send and receive packages quickly to rectify the purchase. Since the sheet did not work at all at this point, I thought I would disarm it completely and see what I could do. Come to discover it, run it in water for a few minutes DEFINITIVELY do not do the job of cleaning it well. the central part was completely full of hair and was all fitted with the oil that was there from the manufacturer and some of the gears that turned the outer blades were stuck and stuck; therefore, everything was locked up. All the blades come out of the momentum of the central blades. I cleaned all the hair and did my best to get rid of the unpleasant oil, it seems that they use a very thick lubricant that stuck fast. I put it back together with a small amount of basic mineral oil, nice and light, that does not accumulate (the same as Wahl clipper oil). I've only used it once since then, but it was the best cut I've had so far! So, although it seems silly to pay so much for something that has to rebuild the blades directly from the manufacturer, it really is a great base unit, the blades could be put together better. *** For me, use lectric shaving With this makes it a better experience too ***
The next shaver for our list is another ergonomic design of the tool that fits exactly in the palm of your hand. It is very well worked out that this electric shaver is placed in the frame immediately after the wire trimmer. From Wahl.
Okay, we’ve made a list, we’ve done it on purpose.
Yet it is still a useful comparison.
The Wahl trimmer was completely corded because it had a high voltage. The power to the cutting blades.
To do that, although it was heavy and attached to a power cord, which reduced maneuverability.
This fact, from Remington, is the absolute opposite.
On the one hand, t had sacrificed, with a lithium battery that provides the shortest lead time or any shaver to make our list today.
However, it does this to keep both the size and weight of this shaver as low as possible.
Remington then linked this low weight and small dimensions with an impressive ergonomic design that fits exactly in the palm of your hand.
That makes this shaver incredibly easy to operate.
With this device, here is a very shallow learning curve because it feels so natural in your hand. It also features an extra-wide cutting blade that cuts to shaving time.
The blades are also of excellent quality, as you would expect from Remington.
No fewer than nine adjustment combs with different lengths can be placed here, so you can style your hair or sideburns if you want; just shave everything away!
As we said, the battery is a bit weak.
You will not notice a significant decrease in power delivery, but be prepared to charge this device a little more often than some of his colleagues.
However, if control and ease of use are most important to you, this may be the best electric shaver for you.
- Extra-wide, curved blade follows the contours of your head
- Comes as a 13-piece set
- Rechargeable battery with 40 minutes cordless time
- Fully washable
- Power button often crashes

For those who: 1) do not want to spend $ 20 every 2 weeks on a haircut; and 2) I like to keep my hair short ... this is a GREAT machine. I am 66 years old, and although I used to keep my hair longer, I have rejected the hairstyle aspect in favor of cleanliness. Usually, I ruffle my hair but I do not want the chrome-domed look of a shaved head. And besides, I stopped shaving a long time ago. So ... since I like to look clean and professional, I was used to waiting in a hairdresser to disburse cash every two weeks. Then I started looking for alternatives. I found this razor and I could not be happier. It takes about 3 minutes for my hair to have the desired length (use accessory 1.5) and clean the shaver. It is so easy to do this a couple of times a week. And the shaver will pay itself in 6 weeks. What else can I ask?
He is an awesome clipper to cut a dog's hair. We have a 4 year old Westie, called Millie, and I always cut my hair. I had an older clipper that was useful, but this new one was amazing. I gave my dog a haircut in about 10 minutes. It gave a very even cut that is not very close or shaved. I used the longer 5/8 "blade guard, which was perfect, I could go over her hair and remove her hair immediately, I used a movement as if I was brushing it ... I would go in one direction and then I would go back to the other direction to get a uniform cut.Areas like ears, eyes and other sensitive areas will need scissors, but I could make your legs, neck, body, head, most of your face and tail with this thing in a very short period time compared to other clippers this is much quieter and does not have a strong vibration to scare a dog I have my dog lying down and just turn it until it is clipped, then I make it sit or stand to do a closer job. I know that hairdressers work with the dog standing up, but I feel that it is quieter when it does not have to be stopped all the time. The Remington shortcut was loaded in a few hours and kept a full charge all the time I was trimming Millie. Very happy with my purchase. Thank you. to read my reviewBecky Brooks
Okay, so it does not have the most catchy name. But the Panasonic ES-LA63-S has some pretty impressive figures. Specifically, this electric shaver has a four-bladed foil cutting system with a two-cylinder system.
This shaver has its LCD screen, which is undoubtedly a unique feature.
The display shows the current battery level, the charging status, and other operational information.
Accessories are a bit on the light side. Included is an AC charging cable, but no charging stand.
Also included is a travel bag.
In particular, replacement foils or sheets are missing. You will probably need them at a specific time, so be prepared for these extra costs at a particular time in the queue.
Motor one moves the shaver sideways, while the second motor moves up and down. Blades rotate with a robust cut of 14,000 per minute. Also, every time you get a smooth, smooth shave because the edges are at an angle of 30 degrees.
This is a solid, reliable foil shaver that ensures a smooth shave. Also, this shaver has many interesting functions, including the LCD screen and the ability to shave wet hair. Although not many accessories are included, this shaver is a reliable, powerful choice.
- High-precision ultra-sharp blades
- Flexible swivel head
- Powerful linear motor
- Active shaver sensor technology
- The finger holes may be small for some
- Not for left-handed people
Questions & Answers
I am concerned about the life of the battery, when the battery dies I assume you can't replace it and because the shaver won't work with just the power cord plugged into it, it's then basically a paper weight isn't it? What sort of lifetime am I going to get out of it? and are they any good electric shaver's out there
That is a valid concern. The dead battery is the only reason why I changed my Panasonic shavers. I have even tried to change the batteries in my last one, but without success. Even if it is sturdy, it works with two 1.2 volt batteries, probably the capacity is different from the normal rechargeable battery. However, my last Panasonic lasted four to five years before the batteries began to lose power. Before I switched to Panasonic, I had the same problem with Philips. I guess the manufacturers are not worried about the amount of garbage we put on the planet. At least not yet and not all.
Is this model made in Japan or China?
Can I use this razor in the shower?
Yes, you can use it in the shower. However, make sure that it is not used when it is connected to a power source.
Is this one FULLY WASHABLE?
Yes, you can use the expensive cartridges that fit the recharging base to do the cleaning cycle or you can simply put some liquid hand soap on the screen, press and hold the power button until you do a vibration wash of a minute automatically while rinsing it under the sink. I have done it for more than a year. Remember that this can be used in the shower after all. I do not use it in the shower, since I shave my face and head with it and that would waste too much water.

I am a woman who was fed up with women's razors. I decided to take the step and buy a razor for men. Really, could you say "men" or "men" more in the copy of this razor? I thought that with so many criticisms by so many users I would try this. I thought that men's facial hair had to be harder than the hair on my body, so this shaver should outperform any shaver I had in the past. Bingo. My risk paid off. I love this shaver! Although it is somewhat bulky I have become accustomed. I do not have to go places 7 or 8 times as I have done with other razors. (Keeping it at 90 degrees is crucial) It's much quieter than other shavers I've also had. There is a lock so you do not accidentally turn off the shaver while working with it. It is fully charged within one hour. He shaves gently in dry, but if he uses Cremo Shave Creme, the results are even better. The LCD screen is very useful and will even tell you how much time has passed shaving. (TMI, 3 minutes on legs this morning) The price is a little higher than I would like. I think you get what you pay for here. Is shaving more pleasant? No. Nothing could really do that. More efficient? Certainly.P.S. Ladies, it seems that I have not suffered any damage with a razor that was not pink. 😉

I never thought that I would ever use an electric razor, but I had a very disturbing experience with a fixed blade razor after almost 40 years of shaving. A slight cut in the side of my nose introduced a bacterial infection that put me in the hospital. The speed and tenacity of the infection were disturbing and required intravenous antibiotics to stop it. The sheet that cut me had a few days, I always rinse and clean my razor and the fact that I got infected led me to a decision to stop shaving with a fixed blade. I carefully searched for a good electric razor thinking that, even with an excellent electric razor, I would never be able to shave with a fixed blade cut. This Panasonic electric razor exceeded my expectations. It offers a close shave and is easy to use. I was going to buy a Braun, but a series of comments indicated that Braun razors were very difficult to clean. The Panasonic is easy to use, easy to clean and provides a very smooth shave. I could not be more pleased with his performance. Highly recommended
Well, I'm old enough to remember the old commercials of Remington and Norelco. Now it's out of place, and with the prospect of the fact that I've had at least a dozen different electric shavers in my life, I was in the market for a new one. The one I had before this Panasonic was a Braun 5 series ... I had it for 12 years because it was very close to matching the performance of a razor and it was reliable. It did not take long to arrive with a growth of 2 to 3 days, it was almost painful to cut, mainly because the replacement blades were very inferior to the original ones, and my face felt it! I decided to see if there were shavers out there I had less than $ 100, that could replace my old workhorse Braun, and give me at least a little better results, and was able to wet / dry. The Panasonic adjusted to the account, and I decided to try it. When I got it and saw the shaving head shaving, I thought I had made a mistake ... that I would in no way be able to get to those difficult areas in the jaw line and on both sides under the chin. In addition, he feared that the famous "skin break in the period" of which all speak. My first shave was just amazing ... he got into the areas that worried me without a whimper ... and he navigated through all the other areas like a lawnmower through a 9 'X 12' lawn. I cut my time by half and the results were very impressive ... and did not irritate my skin a bit. So I decided not to shave for 3 days (I'm retired, so I can get away with it) and see how this test was handled. It hit the biggest growth on my chin ... the engine slightly changed its tone, but it cut it ... and without any pain ... as if it was a day's growth. I had to make some additional passes, but what usually took me 5 minutes to achieve with my old Braun, it only took 3 minutes, with fantastic results. Let's be honest ... no electric razor can match a shaver, but this Panasonic is as close as I've seen or felt. Add the bonus that you can moisten the shave, and place it under the tap or shower to clean it, and you will have a real winner! Frankly, for the money ... it would be hard to find a better electric razor and the fact that it cost less than $ 100 makes it a real gem. The only thing that is missing is that it does not come with a support or support ... great thing, I put it in the corner of my vanity, and it does it well. This shaver is a winner in price, performance and convenience. Give it a shot.
The Wahl 7339 is the least expensive shaver we have tested and does not offer as many functions as other devices. Surprisingly, it is covered by the most reliable guarantee, which lasts for three years.
One of the best features of this shaver is the hypoallergenic titanium leaves, which help reduce irritation during shaving. You can use this appliance to cut facial hair, but it has no adverse effect on wet hair.
With the battery, you can use this shaver for up to 60 minutes.
Unfortunately, it can take several hours before the battery is fully charged. Since there are no fixed options, you have to wait until there is enough battery to use it. In our tests, this shaver lasted only four to five times to shave an area.
Although the results were fluid, they were not as consistent as other shavers. Fortunately, you can also use the built-in pop-up trimmer to smooth your shave.
It is also one of the heaviest razors in our equation, weighing 14.4 grams, making it relatively heavy. When you’re done, use a dry brush to clean it because it’s not designed to be cleaned with water.
- Traditional, classic design and styling
- Hypoallergenic gold foil
- Effective on face and head
- No added extras
Questions & Answers
What is this bump free they talk about?
Many men suffer from barber pseudofolliculitis, also known as shaving bumps. There are few solutions to this problem, but the Wahl® Bump-Free shaver can help you: • Keep hair straight and short. • Stay as antibacterial as possible. • Reduction of allergic reactions through hypoallergenic titanium sheets.
Does this product live up to its bump-free advertising?
Absolutely. There we have a trick to not have bugs with standard shavers. The heat opens the pores and the cold closes them. The closed hydrated pores leave the skin free from the irritation that causes the bumps. With this dry shaver it is not necessary to open the pores. There are three different levels of plates that you can buy. I recommend that you approach comfort at the beginning so that your hair follicles adjust to the new shape or cutout and then move on to the ultra clean sheet when you are ready. After each use, it is better to moisturize the scalp to avoid irritation. Also, do not use a brush on the sheets to avoid damage. Thank me after
How long do you charge it for?
When you open your package, charge your razor for 18 hours before the first shave. The shaver can not be overloaded, so you can load it as often as you want. However, the periodic recharging of the shaver, instead of continuous recharging, will prolong the life of the battery. If you have more questions, contact Wahl at firstname.lastname@example.org.
He does this compare to 5 star flex and custom shaver?
I love the clipper. But I could never understand how to replace the foil. Please help me with this. I would have done it today.

Works like a charm. My only complaint is that the cutting blade is VERY delicate and when the holes are cleaned, the brush can snag and break. BE SURE to get an additional sheet or two or you will end up with cuts from the broken sheets.
Michael Gatta Jr.
This wireless razor far exceeded my expectations ... it is extremely powerful ... It shaves very close and it is soft ... very similar to a shaving razor ... Those of Con are ... it is a bit noisy ... the trimmers do not lock well ... Otherwise, very pleased. I would recommend it to a friend ... Michael .... 66 year old, Waterbury, CT ..
I love this product. I use it to shave my head and I shave well every time.
I do not regret having bought this shaver. It offers a clean shave and keeps your load well. It works best if you do not let your hair pass about 3/16 of an inch high between shaves. I shave my head every two or three days. If there are drawbacks, it is a bit noisy and it takes about 6 hours for a full recharge, but for me, these are not problems because they have already saved me a lot of money on trips to the barber and do a much better job than I usually got from them using a Electric razor.
The Wahl 5-Star Balding Clipper delivers high performance with a powerful electromagnetic motor that cuts at twice the speed of rotating motors.
It also provides a cut described as (operatively close.)
Wahl is a powerhouse for clippers, although most of their models have a cord. The 5-Star 8110 has a V5000 + electromagnetic motor that cuts even thick hair quickly.
Accessories include two combs, oil, cleaning brush, red blade protector, and instructions. This is a wire-free shaver.
The cord is eight feet long and resistant to chemicals.
As a shaving head shaver, you must be near a power outlet. This is perhaps not the best shaver you travel with. But if you want to use a robust and fast shaver at home, the Wahl 8110 cuts hair faster or faster than practically everything on the market.
This shaver only works in situations where the user is near a power outlet. This certainly limits the portability.
However, this is an excellent shaver for intensive use. Even suitable for use with professional haircutters!
If you want to shave your head as fast as possible, this is the shaver to choose from. Although there are not many accessories and the operation can be somewhat loud, this shaving head cuts away thick head hair at record speed.
- Surgically accurate and sharp with fully balding clipper
- Self-sharpening titanium blades
- No hooking or pulling
- Reasonably priced

All,I am about to buy my 3rd one of these. I like having one as a back up as it seems after a year of using it, the little part that moves the blade back and forth wears out. Have others had that or had the problem of the blade eventually going to crooked to go straight?
Scott, I bought this in April of this year and to this day I have no complaints.
Does this have the V9000 motor and the new improved cutting blade?
Yes, I like it a lot, it's heavy and easy, and it makes me feel a little professional.
Can this clipper shave my bald?
Yes, it is a very good mower. It is very powerful. I use the clip included with the package.
Is it noisy?
It is not normal clipper noise at all

I still have a full head of hair, but I like to shave my head and I've been shaving my head intermittently for 15 years, and this cutter is perfect for the look I want: what it is to shave my head as short as possible. as possible, while you still leave a stubble very, very, very light that you can still distinguish my line of hair. And this cutter does it because it comes with Wahl's shortest blade, which is a 6x0 blade that cuts to .2mm. In addition, the guide combs make it very easy to make several types of fades, if you choose. And the V5000 engine that comes with this clipper is powerful and gives you a NICE, SOFT and VERY ISOLATED, WITHOUT SPEAKING THE SIZE IN ANY WAY. For those people who complain about cutting their scalp with this clipper, I think: 1) they are holding the clipper incorrectly, 2) they are using the wrong angle, 3) their blades are not aligned correctly, or 4) a combination of a or more of those things. Also, for those people who give this clipper a bad review because they do not shave their heads like Mr. Clean, use a razor blade, not a clipper. Because no matter which cutter or trimmer you buy, you will NEVER shave your head like a razor blade because you have to have a lower blade and an upper cutting blade, and no matter how thin someone can make the lower blade, it will ALWAYS be between your scalp and the upper cutting blade. Basically, you are giving this clipper a bad review because you expect this clipper to do something it is not designed for. That would be like buying a supercharged Hemi V8 and then complaining about fuel consumption. Anyway, the cutter feels strong and well made although it is made of plastic. And it fits comfortably in both my hands and the power cord is much thicker and longer (8 feet) than my other buzzers, which is good. And I was a little worried about warming up the cutter with its strongest motor, but it stayed cool during my 35 to 40 minute shave. I will HIGHLY RECOMMEND this clipper for those people who do not look for a Mr. Clean look but a very, very short shaved head. For all others, USE A SHEET OF RAZOR.P.S. I added a couple of images in the client's image section after using the 5-star series baldness cutter to give people an idea of how short this cutter cuts. I hope that helps.
This is my second purchase of this clipper. I bought my first Wahl 5-Star Balding Clipper last June, so it lasted about a year. Yes, I'm disappointed because it only lasted a year, but the money I saved by going to the hairdresser made up for the loss. If I do not get at least 2 years this time, I'll move to Andi's Masters, which is the cream of the crop in the hair clippers ... even if it's about double the price of this Wahl. Here are some tips if you buy this trimmer: 1) Adjust the blades before using. There are some Youtube videos that can guide you in the proper setting.2) Clean and grease the blades after each use. It is not necessary to remove the blades each time. Use the small brush to clean the hairs3) Do not keep the device in the bathroom. Keep it stored in a dry place away from moisture. Otherwise, the blades may rust. 4) Every month, remove the blades for a complete cleaning. Use compressed air to remove all hairs trapped in the unit5) If your unit heats up during moderate use (less than 5 minutes), it is a sign that it should be cleaned. Do not expect him to get as close as wet shaving If you like only a very clear shadow, like my wife, then this trimmer is perfect. If my second unit does not last, I will change my opinion to 2 stars. For a $ 50 trimmer, I expect it to last at least 2 years with moderate use (approximately once a week).
Very good job I will not use a razor again. No cuts or wounds or drama. It exceeded my expectations. However, I was disappointed that it did not come with a case. I'll use the one that came with my $ 20 clippers.

Great for a bald shave! So, if you are considering buying this to completely shave your head and you are currently using a wahl or something similar, go ahead and do it because you are shaving your head, this is a much more pleasant experience. The rounded edges are much soft for the scalp, the lack of cord ensures that I can get all the way into the bathtub and I don't have to worry about accidentally disconnecting my shaver or the cord that all my toiletries from the counter fishing because there is no cord, it removes a much larger percentage of hair and cuts it closer than a traditional straight-edge electric shaver, and visibly shaves it closer. I still had to go over some difficult spots with a real razor blade, but I didn't have to do my entire head that way, which reduced my chances of shaving the razor on my head. I never liked electrical appliances because I shaved my face and this is no exception to that rule. In short, this fluctuates with the aim of getting all hair out of your head comfortably and easily.
I use this for about a month every day. This is what I have noticed. The use of this dry can be uncomfortable2. Use this with shaving cream requires frequent rinsing or freezing down3. Use with Williams Lectric Shave works well4. Brushing beforehand makes no difference5. Cleaning brushes for the face are beautiful6. For weekly cleaning instructions say to put the heads back in accordance with colors ... that do not exist. You must follow positions yourself.7. The weekly cleaning process is not stressful8. Trimmer works well for sideburns and eyebrows. I would buy it again, but if it didn't contain brushes, there would be no loss
I had to replace a previous shaver for my head and I didn't know if it was up to the task, but it works much better than expected. I wish I found something like that before. Great shaver.
I purchased this in an attempt to consolidate my shavers and trimmers. The primary reason I chose this item was that somewhere on the product page it said the trimmer attachments could extend to 15mm. My current trimmers cap out at 9mm so I was excited about this. Unfortunately, it only goes to about 6mm meaning it doesn't actually function for my primary purpose. I also bought this to replace a Braun 3 series razor that was damaged by my youngest child and so it scratched terribly. This razor shaves pretty well and is pretty smooth across my skin. The negative is that I used my previous razor to shave my neck and keep the neckline clean. This razor is terrible at that. I keep having to use trimmers to keep my beard from creeping onto my neck. What this razor does well got it the 3 stars, but it's short comings will keep me from recommending it.
You must admire Skull Shaver.
First of all, it is beautiful and small, barely four centimeters long and only weighs a few grams, but don’t be fooled: this clipper may be small, but it is quite powerful.
The power of this device is also fun and easy to operate.
The battery and motor are both mounted on the top, while the innovative grip-style design is combined with a crisp horizontal trigger for a clipper that fits comfortably in hand.
That’s why it’s good to see a product with the ability to make it a little easier without turning any shaving session into a practical demonstration of one of the stranger pages of the Kama Sutra.
You get eight-length adjustment combs here, although there are four lengths, they just have tapered mirrors to be more active on one side of the head.
it should also be noted that this product, like the Wahl 5-Star trimmer, is a set of hair clippers.
This means again that it is not able to produce a smooth finish; in this case, a millimeter or two stubble will remain on your dome.
As with the Wahl, this is not a suitable product for anyone looking for a smooth, shaved finish to his scalp.
If you only want to stubble your scalp, this is a powerful, effective, and very easy-to-use set of hair clippers.
- Powerful motor
- The horizontal trigger for easy operation
- Easily accessible from the back of your head
- Cannot offer a completely smooth finish
Questions & Answers
Will Wahl clipper combs fit in this? I wanted to use the longer ones on this
No, you won't, but you can call customer service and ask if they can send a longer guard to you
What's the power input for the charger ?
Don't buy this expensive piece of junk. Shaver is inherently defective and the company will not support it
How can i use this at 1.5mm or 1/16 ? or is it not possible?
Do not purchase this product. Shaver is rubbish and company will not support it.
Does this cut shorter than the Remington Shortcut?
This hair clipper cuts really short. I'm not familiar with the Remington model you're asking for, but The Best Clipper comes with 2 blades, one for cutting and another for trying and dinne line work. I recommend The Best Clipper - the best clipper I have ever used!

I use this 1-2 times a month to shave my head. It does a great job and can be charged for a long time - I can use it for about 4-6 months without recharging. The fittings are also great and the fact that everything breaks down makes it very easy to clean. It fits nicely in your hand and the head is adjustable in a few fixed positions making it easy to find the position that is most suitable for shaving your head.
I love this company and their products. I would definitely recommend the plus version
The essential features of the Braun Electric Shave are user-friendly, intuitive design, and the fantastic performance that is known worldwide.
This helps you shave smoothly without irritation, without having to cross the same area multiple times.
Guarded by SensoFoil, the blades of this product are extra sharp, but also sensitive to pressure, so that they retract when you exert more weight than necessary, preventing you from cutting yourself.
Charging takes about an hour, for which you get 45 minutes of battery life. If you need a quick update, charge it for 5 minutes and have enough for one shave.
You can check the battery status at any time by looking at an LED display with which this product is equipped. When it’s time to clean, rinse it under running water because it’s 100% waterproof.
- Fully waterproof
- SensoFoil pressure-sensitive blades protected for smooth shaving
- Thin precision head for hard-to-reach places
- Fast battery charging and LED display with battery status
- After a while, the holding of a load stops
- Heats up quite quickly

First off, I have a beard that could stop a lawn mower. It grows in several directions. In college I won the beard-growing contest in a dormitory that housed 900 men. I've been shaving for decades and have tried all brands of blade (inconsistent and messy), rotary (ouch!), and foil (my fave). Nothing has worked better than this $60 Braun.I've owned shavers costing several times as much - and they didn't perform any better. All the snazzy features on more expensive units are just noise. Swiveling heads that don't allow you any leverage, messy cleaning systems, etc. Save your money and keep it simple. It's just a shave, for crying out loud!At this price, what have you got to lose? If you've always used a razor and want to try an electric, here's a cost-effective chance to give it a try.
Note: If you are interested in the HeadBlade, consider buying the kit that comes with the razor, shaving cream, and replacement blades.
If you want a shaver explicitly designed for the head, if you wish to a shaver, you can enjoy it a bit, and if you want a shaver that doesn’t break the bank, the HeadBlade line is tailor-made – made to measure for you.
Of the various models of the company, we have chosen the ATX All Terrain Head Razor.
Why would you call ahead shaver an ATX? Because it looks like a toy ATV. Yes, we are serious. At the front of this small shaver are two wheels with the spring-loaded, four-blade cartridge suspended at the rear, on a head that looks like the blade of a snowplow.
You grab the HeadBlade by the handle (in the shape of something like the seat of an ATV) with your finger in the designated hole to get a firm grip and roll the shaver over your scalp.
That does two things: it brings you back to the time you were three and loved playing with toy cars, and it shaves your head up close.
- Winner Red Dot Design Award 2017, ADesign Award Winner 2018
- Made with the plastic bottom with rubber finger ring, lightweight and easy to maneuver to shave anywhere
- Thanks to the two-axle suspension, the MOTO can take turns roll and hug the shaving surface
- The slim body and the new soft finger ring make shaving around the ears a breeze and the slim design provides an easy grip for shaving the face
- Compatible with HB4 and HB6 blade cartridges. It comes with one HB4 blade.
Questions & Answers
Does this come with extra HB4 blades?
The MOTO comes with a HeadBlade HB4 blade. You can buy additional spare parts from the HB4 blade kit and the MOTO is also compatible with the HB6 refill kit.
Are there adaptors for this version that allow use with third party blades?
Not that I know.
How many shaves do the blades last?
In the past month I shaved every few days without changing the blades. So at least 10 shaves with still acceptable results, although nothing is ever as good as the first shave.
Hpw well does this razor get haor behind the ears?
It works well, but you need to use your other hand to bend over the top of your ear for easier access but works well.

First of all I want to make something clear: this is the best shaver that I have used on my head. It winds around the natural notches that form on your dome and makes shaving quick, efficient and painless. Why the 3 stars: the handle has a very weak point at the swivel that breaks off if there is an awkward side or downward pressure on the razor section of the handle. In terms of shaving, this is not a problem because the handle is designed to easily withstand the pressure of the handle. But if you plan to travel with it (as I've tried), the top half can break into your toiletries or backpack. I now have to buy a 3rd lever to replace the one that just broke on me and for $ 20 per doll this will be a bit expensive to keep replacing. HeadBlade makes a traveling case for their razor and I ask everyone who is planning to travel with this razor to buy this case next to it, just like with my next purchase. If you are not planning on traveling with this razor, you should not have any problems with this product.
I love that the blades are fine, I've had sharper blades before; but the real handle is big. It makes shaving the head very fast and easy, it does not even need a mirror! A tip, I prefer to go with the grain and simply make several passes against the wounds or go with the grain and then against.
I've been shaving my head for quite some time and I've owned the original HeadBlade Sport model, then the ATX model a couple of years later, and now the MOTO. I have to say that each version has been a good evolution of the previous one. This seems to do a slightly better job than the ATX with each stroke of the blade and I like the smaller size to be behind and around the ears.
How To Shaving With An Electric Shaver Step By Step
Starting the process of shaving your head depends on the current state of your hair.
Has your hair cut: as in, less than a few millimeters thick:
no, you should start reducing your long strands with the shortest setting of a professional hair clipper.
If you don’t, eat long hair.
Electric main shavers are designed for cutting short hair, not for cutting full moons, so take this step first.
You can do this at home, but if you are unsure about this step, you can quickly go to the barber’s chair.
Once your hair is beautiful and short, there are several steps you can take to make the shaving process as comfortable and practical as possible.
Many experts recommend taking a nice hot shower first.
This opens the pores so that the blade can cut the hair even closer to the base.
Use a moisturizing shampoo to ensure that your scalp is not dry or irritated before you apply the blade; make sure that the product you are using does not leave a thick residue that could block your shaver.
Shave with the grain of your hair instead of against it. In other words, you move your blade in the same direction that your hair grows.
It may feel faster and more effective to shave against the grain, as this will cause the blade to lift the hair and the base.
However, this can cause shaving, irritation, and follicle damage, so it is it’s best to be careful and stick to the grain.
This, of course, means that you may have to change the direction you are shaving because the hair comes out of the head from different angles, so keep that in mind.
Shave section by section. Start with a logical starting point, such as a side, and gradually finish as you complete each patch.
Avoid the temptation to continue before you finish, giving you a nice, even shave on all parts of your head.
If you are one of our bald and bearded friends, make sure you cut your edges nicely and place the side in a corner that is suitable for your newly shaved head.
Check for places you’ve missed! You don’t want to leave the house with a crazy piece of hair behind your ears or around your neck.
You can buy a portable mirror (as they use in a barbershop) to get a good view of the back of your head. to ensure that there is nothing in one of the hard-to-reach corners and holes.
Treat yourself! Finish your shave with a beautiful, calming aftershave to disinfect, close the pores and cool the skin.
You might even consider getting a super stylish alum block that is like a magic rock that does all those things when you wet it and rub it on your big beautiful bald head.
Plus, it’s fun, and whoever said that guys couldn’t enjoy beautiful rocks: don’t forget to make good use of moisturizing oil to prevent dryness.
An excellent choice is to find a moisturizing cream with SPF because your noggin is now more vulnerable to aggressive rays.
How to Choose Best Electric Head Shaver
While we did a lot of research, there is not enough time to test every electric shaver on the market. But do not worry, we did our homework. When finding the best electric shaver, several factors were taken into account, including personal experience and customer reviews.
There are several things that you should consider when choosing an electric shaver. Depending on your skin and hair type, the correct shaver can significantly influence the effectiveness of a session and the softness of your skin afterward. If you have sensitive skin, you should choose a shaver designed to reduce redness and irritation. If you naturally have hair, you probably need a more powerful shaver to cut your hair effectively. Here are some other things to consider:
- The batteries of the best electric head shaver can last 70 to 90 minutes. However, it is more common that shavers have a lifetime of about one hour or less. If you plan to be away from a power outlet for a reasonable time or if you use your shaver for a long time, you should find one with more prolonged use. The best shavers can be used both wirelessly and with a cord so that no matter how low the battery is, you can always get your shave.
- There are three essential shaving technologies: rotation, foil, and knives. Rotating shavers work best for thick or coarse hair, especially if you do not need a super clean shave. Foil shavers are by far the most common and work best with beautiful hair and short shaves. However, you should likely shave your head more often to keep it smooth. Shaver’s that use knives usually also have shaving accessories, so you can shave your hair instead of cutting it.
- The best electric head shaver does not weigh too much and is well balanced, allowing you to place an equal amount of pressure around your head for a consistent shave. A rotating shaver head can also significantly improve the accuracy of your shave when you come into difficult places such as behind the ears. When you are done, you will appreciate having a shaver that is easy to clean up. Here you can save time by using a shaver that can use warm running water to remove hair. For other products, you should use cleaning oil and a brush to keep them clean.
- Some electric head shaver comes with accessories, which usually contain guide combs, a storage box, and a charging stand. None of these things is essential, but they can make shaving easier. Guidebook combs allow you to choose specific hair lengths and are usually supplied with shavers that use blade technology. These can also be useful if you want to cut facial hair. Storage boxes can help you keep your shaver clean and organized, but it can also make it easier to travel with it.
The Final Words :
The best electric head shaver
can help you embrace the bald look with confidence. The best devices will make the process easier by creating consistent, smooth cuts and simple cleaning processes.
Whether you want an utterly bare shave or just a good one, you can find a device that works for your needs.
There is, of course, another electric head shaver that will also work very well when shaving the head; choosing one comes down to the budget, used technology (foil or rotating), and possibilities. This article is intended to help you refine your options.
When choosing what the best electric head shaver should be, make sure that you take into account the specific characteristics of the razor that is outlined in this post.
Some options are a bit expensive, but in the long term, the higher the price of a more capable and comfortable shaver is worthwhile. Just think of all the money that you save to stop getting haircuts.
