Why Should I Use Beard Oil?
Rub your face over your face. That rough, spiky feeling is the result of coarse facial hair. Thicker than the hair on your head, beard hair must be tamed if you want people to make it cozy and prevent it from becoming so annoying that you shave the whole thing.
Beard oil softens coarse hair and makes it smooth and more accessible to style. And behind the scenes, it helps condition the skin beneath it, reducing the chance of itching or flaking.
Finally, as we said before, beard oils tend to be perfumed, so you can make your beard smell great all day without resorting to aftershave.
Important Things When Buying Best Beard Oils
What should you look out for in a beard oil? Here are some things to consider.
Remember them, and they will help you find the best smelling beard oils that fit your beard, your budget, and your taste.
If you look at all the factors that will make a quality beard oil, the list of ingredients is always at the top of the list. We prefer natural ingredients, and they are less harsh on your skin and beard.
Oils used in beard oil recipes are:
One of the main functions of the carrier oil is to dilute essential oils to make them suitable for use on the skin.
More concentrated than carrier oils and usually too strong to be applied directly to the surface. Some conventional essential oils are lavender, peppermint, eucalyptus, and tea tree.
What we have done below is to emphasize the critical elements of the scent of each oil.
If it’s woody or leathery, it’s a sweet masculine scent
We have also added more citrus-based products for men who like a ‘fresher’ scent.
Another rule to keep in mind: certain oils work better for individual beards and skin types, which is an additional reason to consider the ingredients of each oil carefully.
For example, the same oil that works best for dry skin and a dry beard will probably not work for a greasy, greasy beard. Argan oil is excellent for use on a dry beard and skin because it helps in adding moisture. If you have sensitive skin, including acne-prone skin, look for a beard oil that contains jojoba or grapeseed oil or both.
4-Easy in use
The beard oil that is easy to apply is one that you usually use more consistently. In general, beard oil with a creamy texture, but not too heavy, is easier to apply and evenly spread over your beard.
That said, some oils are more natural than others, so we rated them as medium or straightforward in terms of application.
Beard oil price can run the full range of sub $ 10 to more than $ 40.
The oils with a higher cost usually have a formula full of high-quality ingredients.
We have compiled a list of oils that are suitable for a large number of budgets so that you can find the best smelling beard oils for you.

A real must in the beard community, Honest Amish has used consistent but high-quality products for old and new beards.
The first thing you notice about this particular bottle of beard oil is its dependence on all-natural ingredients.
This not only speaks of quality, but it will also be much better in conditioning your beard and stopping itching.
In addition to a great moisturizer for your skin and beard, Honest Amish Premium also has an incredible fragrance.
Stand out in a market of products managed by wood. Although fragrance is a personal category for many men, everyone we consulted when writing this article agrees that it was fantastic by Honest Amish.
The best way to describe the fragrance is a warm, yet masculine scent with a slightly spicy undertone.
Quality and scent aside, another big aspect of the Fair Amish Premium beard oil was the price per ounce. Unlike so many other things we’ve discussed, rising to $ 20 for a single ounce, this beard oil goes up half ($ 10 / oz).
- High-quality formula
- All-Natural and Organic
- Promotes beard growth and moisturizes
- A bit on the expensive side
Questions & Answers
does it works to grow hair
I do not know if it helps me grow hair, but it does provide moisturizers to make hairs healthier.
What's the difference between the balm and oil?
This specific oil has the same essential oils as the balsam, leaving the smell very similar. The oil is light and very viscous, it is absorbed faster. Our regular balm has shortenings and waxes, in addition to oils, it moves better and some find it easier to handle. The balm will melt quickly when it is rubbed on the palms and will spread evenly like the oil, it is also a conditioner that is left on the skin and can be rubbed. Due to the butters and the small amount of waxes, it will have a prolonged absorption and a longer and more intense condition, very little is required. Personally I prefer an oil in the summer and a balm in the winter, but to each his own. Thanks for your interest and question!
I have both the wax and the oil. Should I use both together? Or stick with one?
That depends on your beard and your preference. I use both, but for different portions of my beard, and at different times. For most of the beard, I use the balm, it is not a wax, although for a well-trained mustache it can serve. It seems better to apply as indicated, then brush and comb through the beard. If you are starting to grow your beard, you may want to use the oil to help soften your whiskers, or if your whiskers are particularly strong and resistant. I find the balsam easier to control in the application. The whiskers tend to be harder and drier than the rest of the beard because they are often exposed to hot and cold liquids, some of which are surprisingly good drying agents. What I do is use the balm during the day, but I apply a small amount of oil to my mustache at night, and comb it thoroughly. You must find what works best for you and your facial fauna ...; ^} My comments apply to a real beard, not to the current way of not shaving for a week.
What does this smell like and how long does the smell linger?
It smells exactly like clove oil, mixed with black licorice. It is a subtle smell, when you apply your light for the first time. After about 20 minutes, it fades and you can only smell very, very close, like an inch of beard. In general, it is good to remove beard, itching of the beard and dry skin. However, I do recommend using 100% pure argan oil to help it spread better. A few jets of argan, and 4-5 drops of Amish classic honest oil, that amount will make your beard, face and head. It has properties that strengthen the hair follicles, this includes the beard, and the head of hair equally, also moisturizes the skin. There is no oil left, it is absorbed in a minute or 2.Info comes through Cates Husband. 🙂
Take a minute to read this; You will be glad you did. Since I started growing a beard, I had been using items from the Dollar Beard Club. I thought they were decent because I did not know any better. The problems I had with my beard were that I was clumsy and brittle, and I had a horrible dandruff, even AFTER I continued to use the oil and balm of the dollar's beard. After months of researching different beard products (yes, I am so meticulous), I decided to go with honest Amish. My initial reasoning was due to its reviews and its ingredients. My only doubt was that I could not determine if their products could cure my dandruff or not. I received my package yesterday 10/25/16, and I applied oil and balm the next morning. My beard feels incredibly soft, I notice much less "flying away" or fibrous hairs, and guess what? My dandruff is almost gone. I did not expect dandruff to clear up in a single day, but I did not expect this big change in one application either. To shorten the story: cure dandruff Tames beard Relieves hair and smells very good (like cloves and licorice) Helps stylize your beard every penny match it with your balm
After a fairly long search for a good beard oil for my chinstrap / goat combo, I finally decided on this after the positive reviews. I love the product, from the aroma to the way it makes my skin feel, to the greater style and shine of the facial hair. I also decided to combine this with the Conditioner without honest rinsing for Amish balsam of the beard, with which I am equally impressed. I'm leaving a review now, since I'm about to order my first replacement, and I've been taking that bottle for months. I also recommended this product for African-American men with semi-thick facial hair like me. I have replaced coconut oil with these two products with greater success and greater satisfaction.
I'm not sure if my beard is growing because of these products, but I know it's doing just that. So, I reordered them, this is the longest I've allowed my beard to grow, after more than 30 years in the army, I wanted to grow beyond that. I like it, at first my wife does not, but now she has grown up in it, she loves it.
It is a great product! My beard looks great and softer. The smell is light and it is also a good smell. I highly recommend it.
What Cremo has done here is to market a beard oil that is relatively basic, but still has enough of a premium brand product to guarantee that (Cremo) label – they won’t call their name old mess, right?
Just like in the Premium Honest Amish above, you have both Jojoba and Argan.
As we have noted, this is a sign of top quality beard oil.
What is not such a good sign is the presence of sunflower oil.
Yes, the stuff you use to cook your fries.
It is not the end of the word that it is here; it is used as a bulk career oil.
This means that the other oils are present in a lower concentration than in other oils.
Also, just because the oils have been somewhat watered down, this does not mean that it cannot be valid.
This oil is so much milder in essential oils, making it ideal for people with sensitive skin. It is also great for shorter beard care and even stubble.
The sunflower oil makes it a little greasy, so you have to rub it softer than some other more expensive options.
But this is still a high-quality product with (mainly) premium ingredients that cost less than a Big Mac meal.
The mild oil plus the low price makes this an ideal oil for beginners, perhaps for a younger man who takes his first steps on the path of the beard maker.
- Low price
- Good for short beards/skin
- Made in the USA.
- A bit standard compared to premium brands
Questions & Answers
How big is the bottle?
This bottle of Cremo beard oil contains 1 oz of liquid content. The bottle is 4 inches high and 1.5 inches in diameter.
What happens if this oil gets under the beard on the facial skin? My husband’s skin is “on fire” - and so red.
If that happens stop using it, he’s probably allergic
Can I use this instead of using other kinds of oil for my hair?
Does it have a scent to it, if so what does it smell like?
Dear Willie, our forest mixed beard oil is composed of spruce, cedar and rosemary oil. It smells like a combination of those delicious aromatic trees. We look forward to hearing what you think once you've tried it! All our best - The Cremo Company
Very pleasant scent and does an excellent job of softening my beard. Because it is oil, it really doesn't feel that heavy and it definitely doesn't feel greasy after application.
I'm not sure if this is the same one that used to be called Tea Tree Mint. But it may be because it is apparently no longer available. It works fine as an oil. However, this smells exactly like 3-in-1 household oil, to the point that I am not convinced that it is not the same. Like I said, it works, but I'm not happy with the smell.
This stuff works well. Is it better than other beard oils in terms of cost / performance: I can't say. It really helps my beard to lie flat without feeling too greasy; better than a solid beard balm I bought on Amazon years ago. I went with the forest scent because it was the cheapest, but I probably wouldn't buy it anymore. Unscented or slightly more neutral would be a better way to go.
One thing about me is that I love a man with facial hair. Unfortunately my husband does not like wearing a goatee or beard, but he does it for me. But he suffered from itchy, terrible itching and so I found this product here on eBay and I tried it and it was amazing that he never complains about scratching his face on all the product work, he uses the face wash and he also uses the oil and I I am so happy because I did not want him to shave his facial hair.
It is a mixture of beard oil and a beard balm. That is why the consistency that you get is a semi-solid conditioner-like goop. This makes it easy to apply and lasts much longer than standard beard oil.
Bossman Beard Jelly is available in five different scents, including one unscented. The other four include Magic, Stagecoach, Hammer, and Gold. They all smell irresistibly tasty, but we will judge the magic scent for now.
I believe this is the best of the party and the company praises it as their (original) scent
When it comes to the smell of care products, this is a subjective matter. You can perceive a scent differently than your friend. So don’t go after me if it doesn’t smell the way I describe it.
However, I will do my best to describe it as clearly as possible.
Bossman Magic has a fruity but masculine scent. It is a bit rougher than other Bossman scents. The best part of this is that it is subtle and lasts longer than most beard oils. It is not overwhelmingly strong to be annoying, but still masculine and noticeable.
When it comes to ingredients, it’s based on shea butter and is an excellent moisturizer for your beard. It also has cocoa butter, beeswax, and other lighter oils. Shea butter provides long-lasting hydration and conditioning.
The addition of beeswax gives it an extra hold, which distinguishes this product from other beard oils.
In general, this beard jelly is a solution. It ticks so many boxes when it comes to convenience and effectiveness. Moreover, the price is incredibly low for a product that is so good. Moreover, it has a subtle scent, making it perfect for meetings up close. What sets it apart is the fact that it leaves its competitors behind.
- A mixture of beard oil and beard wax
- Provides a good grip
- A subtle masculine scent
- A good moisturizer
- Natural ingredients
- Does not absorb much and gives a greasy/heavy impression
Questions & Answers
Is it good for hold?
It is more for taming curls and adding sheen. Smells Soooo good too.
I live in the Carribean and my jelly isnt as thick, its turned into more of a loose oil even after shaking, can this go in the fridge to thicken?
Can't say I tried, but it should work. All oils get thicker when they are cold.
What do you think of the smell of the gold scent?
It smells like tree bark and dirt, frankly Magic is by far the best for me.
Is the bottle plastic or glass?
bottles are plastic.
This is a great product and I use it every day for the past five days. Personally, I don't mind the smell of gold, which has a slightly smoky, woody scent and it doesn't feel overwhelming to bother others when you put it on. I like it. I use this personally during evening hours, where you can easily tame your beard, but in the end it will keep it really well hydrated. This differs somewhat from other beard oils because of the thickness that I find much more suitable for medium to longer beards. Although I cannot say for sure that this helps grow a beard, the main goal is to use this jelly to properly hydrate your beard. 4oz tube is of great convenience about drops, but this is in my opinion only a small addition. Finally, I have noticed that this jelly retains a great shine on your beard and I love the shiny look, but if you don't, look for something else. This product appears and I highly recommend it.
I tried my beard oil - I even made my own. This stuff is amazing. I was skeptical about the consistency of the jelly, but it's actually not as messy as most oils and balms I've used. I have a dark beard and appreciate the shine that this product leaves. Buy another bottle to travel with!
I was specifically looking for a beard oil that would not make me smell like a lumberjack or like me from the 70s. The golden scent of Bossman has been great so far. The thicker consistency feels easier to rub and my beard is considerably less itchy as it grows. The bottle size makes it difficult to take the airport as hand luggage. Since TSA has no plans to change their policies, Bossman might consider dropping this from 4 oz to 3.4 oz.
First and foremost, I respect the way this was sent. The bottle was somewhat tight in a bag. I imagine this minimizes the chance of products spilling. Even when I managed to open the bottle through the bag, very little was spilled. But I stray. I'm a citrus man, so I bought the GOLD. It took me a while to come here after ordering, so I just remembered and bought this because it was smelling of lemon. When I poured a little into my palm, I smelled a hint of lemon, but there was also a woody scent of different woods. The sandlewood was easy to identify, but the others I couldn't put my finger on until I read the bottle. So smell sensibly, mainly think of sandlewood with different wood and a light layer of lemon. It is definitely a light yet earthy scent that is not very powerful. Regarding, this stuff feels like a creamy balm that is too hot to solidify or a rather thick body lotion. I applied a bit to my beard and facial hair before I shaped my beard. Initially I did not notice an immediate difference. About an hour later, I looked in a mirror and noticed that my beard was noticeably tighter. That is, the hairs seemed to come together more. I had practically no stray animals, which totally surprised me. So although I was a little disappointed that my beard seemed to have shrunk a little, I was happy because it looked like my beard had recently been styled and any stray animals were treated accordingly. At this point I expected the hair to be fairly rough or stiff, it was still fairly soft. I don't mind tackling a little shrinkage if it means that the overall product looks nice and neat and doesn't feel coarse. I am only a few days apart, but I enjoy this product. Realistically, I am planning a switch to beard jelly. I will probably only return to my previous balm after a few days when my beard is more subdued. Apart from that, this beard jelly is a pretty nice product. Good scent and great end result.
Our general favorite oil is Rhett’s Beard Oil, a formula based on apricots and hemp seeds that leave our beards pleasantly soft and scratch-free and without greasy residue. Although not as common as some other carrier oils, Rhett’s ingredients are both non-comedogenic – lightweight enough to use every day without clogging your pores. Hemp seed oil is rich in vitamins A, C, and E, and the fatty acids in apricot oil make it particularly good for soothing dry skin.
Pleasant woody fragrance
Almost all of our testers loved Rhett’s beastly but balanced mix of sandalwood, citrus, and rosemary. No other oil we tested so many noses – Rhett was just our favorite fragrance, without a bar.
Beloved on Amazon
We are not alone in our praise. Amazon customers gave Rhett an average rating of 4.7 stars, with more than 280 verified Amazon ratings. The fact that it only costs $ 16 per ounce is just one thing to love.
Points to consider
Smell too strong for the woody scent of some
Rhett’s is certainly so bold enough that you can enjoy it all day – something one of our testers found too much. If you want all the opulence without the lingering aromas, then look at the fragrant fragrance of Life Rose.
- Lightweight and moisturizing
- Pleasant woody scent
- Loved by Amazon
- Smell too strong for some
Questions & Answers
The instructions say to apply a few drops to beard daily. If I end up washing my mouth (for example after eating a messy meal), do I have to reapply?
No by then it soaks into the hair and skin.
Does this contain nut oil
Hi, here are all the ingredients listed on my bottle in the order they are listed. Apricot seed, hemp seed, grape seed, rice bran, caster, glycerin, fragrance oils, citrus Grandis (grapefruit) seed extract
Will this help the growth of my beard?
Some of the oils used in this do have natural properties to help beard growth, but I do not think it is labeled as a beard growth oil specifically. But I honestly think that it is good for the overall health and appearance the beard. Hope this helps. 🙂
Will it make me feal like Rhett?
Yes! I use it as a perfume!
5/5, this is some goooood beard oil
I bought this for my son for Christmas, and he loves it! It smells great. I have to say that I kind of liked the old packaging graphics better though, but that is probably not up to the manufacturer, but rather Rhett and Link. So, if they're reading, the previous packaging design for both the beard oil and the lip balm was a lot more fun.Overall, this is a great, high-quality product. I tested a little on the ends of my hair and I like that it absorbs well into the skin and hair without a greasy feeling. My son's experience with the product is that it doesn't appear to induce acne or any other skin irritations, and the scent is light and clean and not overpowering.
I needed beard oil and tried this one second. I tried 3-4 others after Rhett's. My beard dandruff started to get bad with the other brands. My wife asked me why I don't like Rhett's, she likes how it smelled. Ordered another bottle of Rhett's, wife likes the smell, and it makes my beard soft and keeps my beard dandruff under control.
As an enthusiastic mythical beast, I had been waiting for an opportunity to get this for my guy to try. Finally did and it is great. He enjoys the oil and uses it regularly now. Personally, I love the smell. And for the cuddlers of men with well-oiled and maintained beards, I usually have issues with the skin on my face because of the dude's beard oils and it has not been an issue at all with this one so far! Highly recommend.
This is a premium oil from a premium brand for a premium price tag.
Men who want a quality beard oil with an impressive list of carrier oils in the formula, and also a lovely scent.
It’s great fun!
Apart from the great scent, one of the other striking features is the vast amount of oils in this product.
No less than six different ones are used as a carrier oil.
There are a few options for the left field, such as Meadowfoam Seed, which is excellent in adding an attractive shine to the hair, as well as restoring dry and itchy skin.
It also contains some essential oils to help the wearers.
Here it looks great, though, with a quality bottle delivered in a beautiful card tube on the outside.
They combine for an excellent looking product, making this oil an ideal candidate as a gift for someone.
Everything about this product screams premium, including the packaging.
If you can increase the price tag, you will certainly get a quality oil here.
- Nice Scent
- Packed full of quality oils
- Quality packaging (a great gift)
- Cagey on the complete ingredient list
Questions & Answers
What does devotion smell like?
I use wisdom, not dedication
The picture shows a dropper, but the reviews say no dropper. As of October 2016--is there a dropper?
Yes, the bottles are true to the photo and now contain a dropper. We received constant feedback with a dropper request, so we listened to our customers and gave them to them. Thank you, Andy
What essential oils (scents) are in the woodsy oil?
They have mentioned the oils, but the prominent scent is almost like freshly cut pine.
What are the aromas of the "Honor/earthy" scent (as described on the side of the bottle)?
It lists lemon cedar and spruce essentials as the scent
I have used Can Be Handlebar's beard oil in a different scent in the past, and I was planning to go unscented this time, then I saw Joy and I love peppermint and sage so I decided to give it a try. This is a fantastic beard oil and I really love the smell. I can smell it about 15 - 30 minutes after I set it up and it is not overwhelming. My wife could get a vague hint of sage while kissing at about four in the afternoon after a morning application, so although the smell is not overly strong, he lingers. I generally have dry beard hair, so I use it at night and in the morning, but in general, it makes my beard very pleasant and the eyedropper top makes it a breeze. Complete it with nuts free, which most beard products are not, but I am allergic to it, and this is a real winner.
Good for the price has a great scent and gives your beard a fuller appearance. I know that a lot of work has been done on this product and it is actually good for your facial skin. For me it was not the end, but if I found that it is as good as possible, I will write this review. I think we all have different facial hair and have an idea of what the perfect beard is. This product was nice but not entirely for me. I must mention that I am of African and European descent, so I have a very specific requirement for my beard products.
This was one of my very first purchases of beard oil, years ago, when I first grew my beard. Since then I have researched a number of other brands and came back to it when I got really bad beard rose. Within a week or so back on this oil my rose went away. Only 4 stars because I feel that the smell has changed since my first original bottle, but as I said it was more than 2 years ago ... Solid things.
There was nothing very wrong with this product. It seemed to offer beard softening benefits. But I found another one that I like much more, so it suffers from comparison. The first suggestion: take an eye dropper to make it easier to use, and less likely to get too much oil (so you don't have to buy more). Secondly, I found the scent of pine / cedar much less an odor of the care product of a quality and more an odor of cleaning products: a bit harsh and unpleasant. There are other beard oils with a more pleasant musk odor. I realize that this has a somewhat subjective preference.
Our research showed that Wild Willies was the best natural beard oil.
It contains ten natural and organic ingredients (listed below); it’s a great mix that will hydrate and nourish your beard.
An unusual ingredient in this oil is the addition of Vitamin E.
With the ability to improve blood flow to your skin, Vitamin E helps you get the beard to strengthen. An additional benefit of vitamin E is essential to note, is the extra shine that it adds to your whiskers. This is perfect for men who want to repair a dull or frizzy looking beard.
The scent of this beard oil is subdued as a reasonably versatile product for all men.
Now there were a few problems with this beard oil, which was the best overall result:
It’s plastic. Although it is not a dealbreaker for some readers, especially considering that this beard oil is reasonably affordable, it is worth noting.
Now you want to try this beard oil again, and we want you to know that they offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. So even if you are not a fan, you can get a full refund, no questions.
- Natural and organic ingredients
- Affordable price
- User-friendly pump top
- Light woody scent
- The smell does not last long
Questions & Answers
What does it smell like?
Like the power of Pine-Sol, baby! Seriously.
How can this be considered "nut free" by some of the reviewers, when it contains argan oils?
Could it be the fact that it is from an argan tree instead of the kernels of the nuts? Although I'm not a professional in that department.
Is this a spay bottle or a drip tube?
Does this make the growth faster
I feel like he has mine a little ... Nothing super fast, but I can see how I feel there is a difference.
I was a skeptic. I did not think that the beard 'elixer' or beard oil could do much more than make your beard look different. I was wrong. My beard is softer, thicker and better looking. Historically, I've had an ... unattractive beard. He had a serious beard envy towards all the guys who had well-formed or thick beards. The difference between a man with a beard and a man with a beard is grooming and care, including some beard oil or beard balm. I'm sure there are other excellent products, but this really worked well for me. After three weeks, color me impressed.
In general, I like a good smell of cedar-chocolate for my beard oil. However, this has the tea tree / eucalyptus thing and it moves! The only negative is that I would like the bottle to have a dropper instead of a spout, that way I would not have to get my hands dirty.
I've only been using it for a few days. So far I like it. I have very curly beard hair, so handling my beard is always a nightmare. It's hard to find something that would not look ridiculous and still manage my beard while giving it a natural look. This seems to make my beard very soft and manageable. Usually, keep your beard around 2.5 inches long, for longer and it becomes very unmanageable. It may be that with this I can grow more time. I will try it and publish an updated review in a few months. Update December 17, 2016: It went through a bottle and a half at this time. This oil is better than any other that you have tried before. My beard is very curly and, after reaching a certain length, the lower part and the central part under the chin grow more slowly than the sides. This oil changed the texture of my beard, the hair became softer and smoother and I could grow a beard a little more without having that beard forked at the bottom. Definitely the best beard oil I've ever tried. I do not really notice the smell during the day nor have any of my friends or family commented on the smell. It has a nice smell when applied for the first time, but after a few seconds you do not notice it anymore.
A good beard oil with a pleasant aroma, but perhaps too light. It smells like a mixture of menthol and something jungle and masculine. Together they are very reassuring and I feel like a stronger smell and maybe with a sweeter tone that allows. In general, I use it daily and I have certainly noticed a softening of my beard and a bit of improved management capacity. I gave it 4 stars because I really enjoy using it, but I attracted it like a star for the following reasons: Kernal apricot oil is not as researched as some of the most common carrier oils. It just made me question the oil originally, but I've made peace with it and I think it's similar to other nut oils like sweet almond oil. I did not like that I could not investigate this before the purchase. - The bottle is made of plastic with an elastic pump. That is good and bad. Sometimes I like to eliminate small qualities for precision ... like putting a little in my mustache. It's not a big problem, but sometimes I'd like the bottle out of glass with a reducer to make it easier to go drop by drop. I find it nice and light, but too light for me. I used pure argan oil for a while and found that it "lasted" longer than the average oil. I would have liked to find the same quality in this oil.
Life Rose has only two ingredients, organic jojoba oil, and organic argan oil. Simple? Absolutely. But those two ingredients are coincidentally the most popular carrier oils in the beard game and rightly so. Both are full of antioxidants and naturally occurring vitamin E. Even the packaging is sober, a brown 1-ounce pharmacy bottle with a glass pipette, and a simple label readout.
least likely cause pimples
Not only are jojoba and argan oil known for their moisturizing, antibacterial, and antioxidant properties, but they have a combined comedogenicity score of less than one. That translates into a light, easily absorbed elixir that has made our skin and beards smooth and well-fed.
If you are someone who prefers natural products, Life Rose has the added benefit of being 100% natural. If pure and straightforward is your bag, Leven Rose is the right choice.
Points of interest
Maybe too light for some
Given that everyone’s beard and skin are different, some guys may prefer a slightly heavier oil. Some users note that Life Rose seems to be dry relatively quickly due to the low comedogenicity score. That is the preference for some, but not for everyone.
- 100% organic
- simple formula ideal for bearded beard
- no added odor
- No essential oils
Questions & Answers
Can I use this to make my beard soft as an alternative to showering?
You can make your beard softer without showering, but no one will notice because people will not want to get so close to you. You must shower, brother. Everyday. I'm being your friend here, your friends are not. If you do not bathe every day, you might think you do not smell. Trust me that you do it. How can you not smell it? Because that is a gift from the DNA wizards who gave us the power not to smell our own funk. You are taking the concept of mountain man too far.
Does this help a beard grow quicker after shaving?
Is this really unscented? Or is there a scent, and they just mean no added fragrances? What oils are in the mix, and what does it smell like?
No fragrance added. If you open the bottle and smell it, you can smell the faintest smell of the oil, but I have never smelled it when I put a little on my beard. The ingredients say jojoba oil and argan oil.
Will this product help with flakey/dandruff beards?
It does indeed. I always had problems with 'beard rust' in the past, so I would grow a beard. By working the oil all the way through to the skin, no more irritation and no flakes. It also becomes smoother and leaves the hair shiny without being greasy.
Buy this for my husband. It smells very good and his beard is very soft and well handled. We are very happy with the product and plan to buy it in the future.
The neutral odor definitely prevents your beard from being a scaly mess and the ladies have commented on how soft it feels. I definitely recommend it and I'll buy it again.
I've been using it for a week, now it's perfect, my beard no longer itches and it calms my hair after showering. Also give it a shine. Love the product Thank you.
I started growing a beard, and I needed a beard oil. I searched around to find one that was of good quality and at a good price. Let me tell you that I am very happy with this product. This is my opinion by the way! When I tried the product for the first time, it was the best thing ever. It makes it smooth and smooth. It also has no fragrance, so it does not mess with my cologne. But it is not just the product. They personally keep in touch and make sure that your product is working. I thought that was incredible. Not many companies do that. You can not put a price on that!
Started by bearded veterans, Badass Beard Care produces a whole range of beard care products. The beard oil that we have on hand, however, is still their best-selling product to this day.
This all-natural beard oil made in the US takes the lead with its masculine citrus-like scent that varies from medium to light strength. It is a kind of sweet lemon scent that is not too overwhelming.
When it comes to ingredients, this oil has used several natural oils, including apricot oil, argan oil, and pure vitamin E oil. Apricot oil contains mainly oleic acid, an omega-9 fatty acid, a natural emollient, and this makes the hair softer and smoother. On the other hand, argan oil is rich in vitamin E and fatty acids.
Vitamin E is a natural antioxidant and promotes healthy hair growth. That’s why you can expect softer and healthier hair growth with its natural oils.
It also contains rosemary oil, which promotes blood circulation and is a natural anti-inflammatory. This keeps your beard dandruff and itch-free.
Another good thing that I am sure you will like is that you can absorb beard oil quickly. That’s why you don’t have to worry about the greasy or starchy appearance of your beard.
So what’s the bottom line? There are no problems with the product itself, and it is as good as it gets. The natural ingredients ensure that your hair is soft and sufficiently hydrated. It also has a scent that can conquer many hearts. Because of its price, which is on the higher side, and only one container size, it loses some of its charms.
It nevertheless gains in quality and effectiveness and makes our list.
- Sweet citrus scent
- All-natural ingredients
- Absorbs quickly
- Promotes healthy hair growth
- Reduces itching and dandruff
- A little pricey
- Only one container size
Questions & Answers
How long does a 1 oz. bottle last with normal use?
Depends on what you do for a living.
Any bottles larger than 1 ounce?
We currently do not offer anything larger than 1 oz of oils. However, in the future we can release other size options. 🙂
How big is the trial size
A Trial Pack consists of approximately 1/8 ounce of Badass Beard Balm and 1/2 dram (about a weeks worth) of Badass Beard Oil.
How many ounces is this size bottle? Thanks.
This seems to be the 1 oz
I used quite a few different beard oils during my trip with a beard (dollar beard club, rock climbing brand, beard bastard, etc.) And dear mother of God, this sheeeeitt is the bees knees. My old lady won't stay away from me. As described, it has a vanilla scent with a hint of smoky sandalwood or something. So far I would say that this is one of my favorite beard oils, if not my favorite. If you are considering using some other oil and comparing it with this, do not waste time, money and disappointment on anything else, just buy this.
Bad Ass Beard oil and balm are the real deal! I am looking for a product to tame my beard from a brillo path, because I am tired of being a hedgehog. I don't have dry skin and I wasn't looking for anything to help with itching or flaking. I tried a product that was highly rated on Amazon, but the smell was a bit overwhelming and it also dried my face and caused itching. Not cool. After looking around a bit, I decided to try Bad Ass Beard, because they offer the test size: perfect for you to try out their many scents! I originally tried the Outlaw and Biker scents. Biker was nice, but I didn't want to smell Patchouli all day. Outlaw smells absolutely amazing (my wife agrees). I try Original and Royal Knight because they have similar notes to Outlaw. The best part is no itching !!! All in all, Bad Ass Beard makes exceptional products and supports their things with world-class customer service. I am very satisfied with their oils and balms and will sink to full size once my tests have been used.
This is my favorite beard oil. I have tried many different products for my beard and nothing works as well as Badass Beard Care Oil. I highly recommend this to anyone who has a tangled rough beard. I really enjoy the smell and I have received many compliments about how it smells. It has a fresh scent that almost reminds me of an orange cream (spelling 🙂 Smells very good. It also softens your beard. My beard has never been so soft since I started using Badass Beard Care oil. The best way to apply is a few drops in your palm (depending on the beard length) and rub between your hands. Start at the root of your beard and go outside. Keep doing this until you are almost completely out of your hands. If you still have a lot of oil in your hands, you have used too much. It doesn't cost much. My beard is approximately 5 centimeters and this lasted almost 4 months. However, I have not used it every day. It can be used daily, although I would just occasionally forget. The best time to use it is immediately in the shower after you have dried your beard. All in all I would 100% recommend this to anyone who has a beard regardless of length. It softens your beard and removes those knots. I will buy this product again and again. PS customer service is fantastic! I was not satisfied with a product and they immediately contacted me to make it right. Good customer service is hard to find and as a consumer I greatly appreciate that.
For the last five years I have grown my facial hair in true sincerity, not just laziness. Never before had I really tried to use balms or oils, more so because I didn't really know them at the time, I am still quite young at 23, so still quite ignorant about things like this. I took the BadAss Beardcares test package to get my toes wet, see what I can expect. I have been using this product consistently for a month and I would be a liar if I said I had not noticed any change. The hair is already much softer, it is not super dry as it had always been real. My mustache in particular has cooperated so much more since I use oil daily. Ive also noticed quite a bit more growth in some of the more recent patchier areas of my beard, so I am absolutely happy that using an oil has another positive benefit. I do not claim that their oil promotes beard growth, do not think that they themselves say that somewhere. I just think the use of oil helped to keep my skin hydrated and sufficiently lubricated so that the hair could leave the tissue or pore. The scent is great, still my favorite.
Woodland Harmony will tame wild whiskers without sacrificing any of the masculinity that comes with being an amiable gentleman.
And how does it manage to do this?
It’s easy: Seven Potions has made a beard oil that keeps your unruly whiskers silky and manageable, but with a masculine scent that is refined, memorable, and yet not overwhelming.
Assessors have described the Woodland Harmony fragrance as robust rustic.
Indeed, it is masculine, but you also do not feel like a lumberjack in a more civilized environment – the camera goes to the man with the beard in the corner who smokes, wears a coat, enjoys a fine cigar and a glass of cognac. What smell does he wear? Asks someone.
But Woodland Harmony is more than the nose because the all-natural ingredients keep your beard soft, easy to comb, and with a healthy shine that does not look greasy.

At the end of the day, it will always be about preferences. It's about what you like. As a moisturizing oil, this does the job. Regarding the envoys; The fragrance of cedar wood / saddle wood is amazing. Soft and refreshing You will have your own opinions, but when you start receiving praise of how well your beard smells ... you will return to place your order online.
So far so good. I used it today for the first time. It definitely helps to train the mustache and makes it nice and bright. I really did not notice the smell. I hoped it had a pleasant smell. If there was an aroma, it must have been soft smooth. Happy with the purchase.
This beard and balsam oil is fantastic! It is of very high quality and has a great natural aroma. This is my first product of Seven Potions, but it will not be the last.
Clean, masculine odor that dissipates relatively quickly. It is absorbed into the hair and skin quickly and does not leave a greasy residue. It makes the thick hair of the beard pleasant and soft, and avoids tangles and tangles.
Beardoholic attacks the problem of itchy, irritated skin with a vengeance with its natural beard oil. Yes, this oil has many health benefits for your beard, but the utterly natural formula makes the dreaded beard itch.
There is much more to appreciate about this oil: it comes in a dark amber glass that extends the shelf life of the oil by protecting it against UV light rays and oxidation; it has a masculine scent and thanks to the user-friendly dropper you can take exactly the right amount of product in your hand.
- All-Natural Ingredients
- A very above-average number of beneficial ingredients
- Great for combating beard-itching
- Masculine Scent
Questions & Answers
Is this bear oil silicon free? I have that is better for hair in general.
There is no silicone in this product, they are all natural oils
Why is this beard oil so much more expensive than other beard oils with the same ingredients?
I have not tried any other beard oil. But you only need about 4 drops each use. So this bottle should last about a month and a half.
I have the oil and balm of this product how should i put it on which 1st
I used oil or balm but never together
Argan oil, jojoba oil, almond oil, castor oil, wheat germ oil, grape seed oil, pine fragrance oil and essential oil. No additives or OGM. Free of paraben.
I'm growing a beard for my Halloween costume. I needed a way to grow it without scratching my face constantly because of the irritation and I would like to make it grow quickly. I came across this product and after two weeks of use, I'm a big fan! First of all, it smells very masculine, like Ron Swanson, who makes the perfect canoe from a block of wood while enjoying a porterhouse steak and a good whiskey. I use this product twice a day right after a hot shower and there is no itching or irritation, and the beard is growing pretty and thick. Thanks for making a great product!

I was preparing for the No-Shave November and was looking for something to help fill in some spots and handle the itching. I chose this product based on some review research. Definitely yes it thickens the hair, and I have noticed an increase in the growth of the hair in some areas, but not in others. The smell is quite strong, but it is not so offensive, and although it is a pleasant aroma, it takes a few days to get used to it. It has helped manage the itching of a growing beard well enough. The small amount lasts for a long time, the bottle does an excellent job of minimizing waste. It's a bit expensive, but it does the job and it does it well enough. In short: it's good enough to buy a second bottle when the first one ran out and I'll come back for more.
I bought this after reading the recommendations on Pinterest for tips on conditioning and growth of the beard. Things smell so clean and refreshing, nothing compared to local hairdressers, etc. objective. Save money in stores and buy this. Do not use more than recommended, you do not need: 3 drops is enough and evenly spans your beard. Love it
I love oil, the smell is great and it makes my beard shine a lot. I wonder why he would use a lid for a glass jar that comes loose if he screws too much. Now my lid has little or no resistance and I had to transfer the oil to another jar. He made a quality product and the price reflects it, but it does not make sense to use a cover and containment system so cheap. I love oil, but I probably will not buy it again without a change.
With the desire to develop a range of products that are not only sexy and fun but also have a name in the grooming industry, Billy Jealousy introduces the Devil’s Delight Beard Oil.
But how does it affect others?
The first thing you notice when you flip the bottle is that it is filled with a ton of natural ingredients.
This helps to remove the beard within a few days, leaving your underlying skin looking good and being moistened and healthy.
Although nutrition and hydration are by far the most important when choosing a beard oil, another, the even more beautiful side of Devil’s Delight is the smell.
It smells incredible and is guaranteed to have a few heads.
The fragrance is warm and almost fragrant. It is in times like this that you want the internet to have some odor function (maybe not, but you understand).
If there is something wrong with this product, this is the pump. Not as good as a dropper, the pump makes it a bit more difficult to get measured quantities for daily application.

Questions & Answers
what does this particula oil smell like? I purchased a previous one and I like it alot, but just looking to see what the other scents are like.
Hey Matthew! We are happy to hear you like our beard oils! Charm Offensive Beard oil has a soft and sexy scent of jasmine musk. We hope this is useful for you! Let us know if you have more questions!
How many ounces is this?
All our beard oils are 2 ounces.
Before using this product, my wife never wanted to have sex. After applying only ONE stream of these things, I can not take it away from me! Margret, a lonely old widow next door, should be able to smell it because she's been bringing baked goods every night and she's bringing me closer so she can wrap her arms around my neck and smell my beard. When I go to my children's school for PTO I feel like Dan Bilzerian. All the moms have been sending me naked and making sexual advances. This is the next level! You need to prove it. Just be careful, friends, this is not a joke!
My boyfriend and I looked for forever a beard oil that did not smell unpleasant. I think most companies find it "masculine" to make their oils smell like licorice or a tree. One day we were buying in Ulta and we smelled this oil. WE FALL IN LOVE. Until we saw the price tag ... and we walked away. But while we waited in line, we could not stop smelling it and we went back to look for it. It is, by far, the beard oil with the best smell I have smelled, without a doubt. It smells sexy. If that makes any sense. BUY IT.

Freshly delivered today, wear it and Mrs. Approved immediately. I also love the smell, I do not think I'm going to use cologne when I apply this, since the smell and strength are more than enough. I will re-evaluate the score in the coming weeks in terms of how my skin agrees with that but so far a smell of A +.
Then we have a strong contender for Honest Amish.
This oil is an awe-inspiring mix of high-quality ingredients with an impressive price tag, but is it enough to make it the best on the market?
We love companies like Vaughn.
They compile comparable lists, then look at their formula and say: (ok, this is a quality beard oil. How can we praise it so that the average man can use it too?) We like that.
It’s the same ethos that Honest Amish used it, and it didn’t hurt them at all.
The essential striking feature here is the excellent formulation of the carrier oils in this product.
Jojoba is here, always good to see, as we discussed above.
Another oil that caught our attention on the ingredient list is castor oil.
This ingredient is one of the best beard growth oils available, so if you are looking for a beard oil that is full of the ingredients for a fast-growing and thick beard – this might be for you.
Some negatives must be taken into account.
First of all, although there are essential oils, Vaughn does not reveal what they are or how much they are.
This is also one of the few oil products on our list of best beard products without dripper.
Instead, this has a built-in plug that leaves a few drops of oil at a time.
Fine, but in use, it is just not as accurate as of the bottle with dropper.
All in all, however, this is a very high-quality oil with a price tag (and a large 2-ounce bottle) that helps to introduce an impressive line between quality and value.
- Excellent value for money
- The impressive formula for a carrier oil
- Vegan and cruelty-free
- Shaker Style Bottle can be inaccurate
Questions & Answers
What is the composition?
Recently the beard began to shave for more than a few days without shaving, and decided to do a little research. Found good reviews of the V76 and the price was relatively cheap, so I gave it a try. I have nothing else to compare it to, but it seems to work. I'm not quite ready to make the leap to beard, so I usually keep it at about a # 3 length, but use a few drops of it every morning. Despite the relatively short length of the hair, it seems to keep it very soft (the few times before I let my facial hair go and came to this length, it was always like a porcupine and I would eventually shave it). I just rub it with my fingers and then quickly give it up and down with a brush of bears. There is really no odor to this oil, and I think I would prefer it if there was a bit of it. As I said, I don't have any other products to compare this to now, but based on my unscientific tests, it seems to keep my facial hair soft, which is positive.
Boyfriend loves this stuff, and I love the smell and it never makes me break out after kissing him (like most other beard oils)! I have very sensitive skin, so it was important to get one that was not comedogenic - aka does not clog pores and cause acne. Plus my SO is sensitive to odors and he likes the smell. Very masculine but not in your face or irritating. This beard oil is used by some celebrities and recommended by their stylists, according to research I did anyway, and it keeps its reputation. Great product and he has bought it a few times since the first time I got it for him.
I only use this for a little over a week and facial hair makes it itch less and softer. It does not turn your facial purse into a pillow, but it certainly helps to soften it. I put it on after a shower in the morning and in the evening when my facial hair starts to feel dry. I think it smells good.
Generally good. This is a bit different than other beard oils. Quantity makes a big difference and you have to find your balance. This comes with a pump nozzle, and I have learned that 1 pump is enough for me, 2 is too much. It is difficult because this does not leave your hands and beard greasy and greasy, it absorbs fairly quickly. So you can get the impression that you don't have enough. Again, balance is the answer. If you put too much, it will feel excessively fat and greasy. The scent reminds me of freshly cut wood shavings. It's a soft scent, so if that's your thing, enjoy it. In general, it is a very good product and fits well with beard balms.

Questions & Answers
?Don't have a beard and i want to have a bear?
Well, to have a bear, you really should consider having a beard. Bears respect people with beards and tend to listen to them. It is a common fact that 94% of bears' butchers happen to people without beards, the remaining 6% have beards, but they are cocks to bears. I hope this helps! Good luck with your beard and bear!
How long time we place on my beard before washing ?
My son puts it on after showering. Just a few drops, then soften his beard during the day.
How does it smell?
There is not much smell, maybe a slight smell of olive oil
Is there an expiration date on this?
Yes, they have expiration dates. Mine expires in September 2018, so there's a lot of time to use. I hope that helps!
Look. I've had a beard as long as I could, and it's pretty impressive. Once, while attending a wedding on the left coast, I ran into a friend with a slightly more impressive beard (let's get over it). I asked him how he was so calm, and he said, "I put a piece of olive oil about the size of a dime every morning." Which I thought was disgusting, since I'm Irish, and my people barely cook the food, let alone use it. Once I got back to the right coast, I started looking for beard oil, and it turns out that there is a cap to choose from. The first ones I bought were perfumed, and I quickly realized that it was not for me, as if I wanted a stinky beard, I just put a whole pepperoni, like my disgusting San Fran friend. Then I ordered unscented beard oil ArtNaturals and everything came together. My beard looked great throughout the day, and my math skills improved. (Which, I guess, was a total coincidence.) Besides, um ... I can fly now. And yes, I think that is undoubtedly due to oil. In fact, I hope that Mr. A. Naturals reads this (when he lands, of course) and decides that he should put this flight information in the bottle. Maybe I do not want to seem too boastful, but my fear is that if some bearded baby uses your product, there is a chance that they will get tangled up in their mobiles. And nobody wants to see that. (That's why Norman Rockwell's "Oily Hairy Baby Caught in Mobile" never appeared on the cover of The Saturday Evening Post) Just saying Art is the right thing to do. Do it for the flying bearded babies. Ok where I was Oh true, great product.
A couple of years ago, I started growing a beard for the first time. I did not know anything about it and almost gave up after the dreaded sting of the beard. After some research, I knew that this was caused by dry skin. This is when I discovered ArtNaturals. I bought a bottle and I have been happy. My itching has calmed down and my beard has never looked better! Another thing that attracted me to this product was that it had simple ingredients and had no aroma. I did not want my beard to smell like other oils out there.
This is an excellent offer for 5 high quality products. For me, the highlights are the body wash, the beard wash and the facial moisturizer, which all smell very good and leave you refreshed all day long. I have not yet had the opportunity to use beard oil or balm, but the products smell just as fantastic. The only criticism I have is with the bottle in which the facial moisturizer comes. The lotion is too thick for the pump and, in essence, makes it useless, which causes you to unscrew the cap and use the pump tube as a kind of rod. The moisturizer should be packed in a compressible tube. Apart from that, everything has exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend and will buy again in the future.
Normally, I would not publicly tell anyone that I use a facial moisturizer, but this keeps my skin soft and smelling like a man should. After a few days, I noticed a big difference in how my skin feels and looks. The only drawback or warning I will provide is that less is more. You really do not need much, and if you use a full stream of these things, your skin may not absorb everything and you will feel a little greasy. If that is the case, find a nearby child and blow raspberries in the stomach. It helps to remove the extra things from your face, keeps the little monsters soft and you see yourself as the paternal moment for all single moms.
Let me erase one thing directly from the bat; this oil smells nothing like a cigar smoke or passive smoking. It feels like an unlit cigar. Therefore do not get intimidated. It is a sweet vanilla-like scent that is not overwhelming, but still strong enough to make you stand out.
For its ingredients, it is rich in natural oils such as tea tree oil, pure apricot oil, and sweet almond oil, among others. Tea tree is known for its anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, and antibacterial properties. This is a powerful solution for dandruff and itchy beard.
Moreover, it is a natural cleaner and removes the build-up of excess oils. It relieves the hair follicles of any clogs and lets them breathe again.
Also, Grave Before Shave (GBS) contains sweet almond oil, which is essentially a multivitamin. This promotes hair growth. Among vitamins, it contains vitamin E, a natural antioxidant that helps restore damaged hair.
One of the most unusual ingredients is aloe vera, which is not often found in beard oil.
However, no one can deny its effectiveness as a moisturizer and conditioner. Aloe vera is one of the few exceptions among moisturizers that soften your skin and hair without clogging your follicles/pores. This makes this oil a good remedy for dry and brittle hair.
- Absorbs quickly
- Sweet vanilla cigar smell
- Reduces dandruff and itch
- Natural ingredients
- Aloe vera takes care of the beard
- The consistency is too thin for an oil

Is this grave before shave cigar blend beard oil available in a 4 oz bottle?
We currently do not have 4oz. available on Amazon.com
What essential oils are used in this ?
tea tree oil, pure apricot oil, jojoba oil, sweet almond, vitamin E, aloe vera, some essential oils
How does it smell ?
Root beer ...
I think the gentleman's blend smells like shaving cream. Does this one too?
Not at all. Beautiful, subtle, in no way chemical. We also love Bay Rum and Viking Blend, probably the cigar rather than the Bay Rum because it is not that sweet.
I bought the Gentleman's Blend and Cigar Blend at the same time, and I think I will review them together, because I think they actually have a somewhat similar aroma. Each package was a sturdy quilted mailer with the bottle packed in an extra bubble package. Seemed sufficiently packaged for shipping. Nice label art on all GBS products. I recently had my first experience with beard oil, with my purchase here on Amazon or the Grave Before Shave 4-pack sampler. For the most part I was so happy / impressed that I decided to explore other scents in the GBS line-up. As the only background for me and my hair type, because I think this may be relevant (we don't all have the same hair type, anyway :): I am a white middle-aged man with thick beard growth. It used to be brown, now it is moving towards gray ... I have grown a beard for centuries, but I have always kept it pretty tight. This year I decided to grow it, just to see how it looked a little longer. I was worried that it was a crucible and I didn't want to look like a wanderer, which led me to explore my beard care products. I have now tried 6 scents of GBS and can say that they are all fairly uniform in their ability to soften the beard. In my opinion it is a fairly noticeable change. My beard is also becoming quite 'bushy' and I can see that the oils help to tame it a bit, although there is certainly no support as a wax would offer. Not that I expected that, although I wanted to call it specific. However, I suspect that someone with a finer facial hair can get more control with this product. First impressions of the Gentleman's and Cigar blends: - Gentlemen's Blend: I received this first and when I smelled it from the bottle, I usually noticed a sweet vanilla aroma. To be honest, I was worried about ordering it initially because I was wondering if I would smell like I had spilled bourbon on myself. I don't need to buy beard oil to achieve this specific scent. Well, don't be afraid, because this doesn't smell like a real bourbon (and as someone born and raised on bourbon, I am deeply familiar with the scent). After my first application I am reminded of a sweet vanilla scent. Maybe something like a cream soda, or a vanilla coke, or something. It is a 'sweet' vanilla, but not spicy. If there is a drink I remember, it might be a spiced rum. It's pretty tasty. I did something about it this morning before I left for work around 7 am. As I write this, it is about fifteen, and when I stroke my beard or curl my mustache, I can still catch a hint of the scent, although it is not at all overwhelming even when it is first applied. - Cigar mixture: this came the next day. And the reason I wanted to write this review with the Gentlemen's Blend is because when I first opened it and smelled it in the bottle, I thought it was the same. For example, I thought it was incorrectly labeled. I actually went and grabbed the other bottle and sniffed it side by side. Once I had them together, I noticed a difference, but the first impression was very similar. One of the things that struck me among all the different scents is that they really open when they get some air. Anyway, back to the cigar: I think this has a very similar vanilla tone when first applied, but because it warms up and diffuses a bit, you definitely get the tobacco notes. Although I would argue that it is more a pipe tobacco than a cigar, which I think is a good thing. It is certainly a refined scent. I noticed that this scent remained strong almost all day. I did something about it in the morning and could still smell it clearly when I took a shower that night. I have used these two scents only a few times at this point, but I wanted to write down my first impressions. I will follow up after a while. My thoughts on all the scents I have tried, in order from favorite to least-favorite: - I currently think that the Bay Rum is my favorite, with the cigar perhaps the following. These are both very strong and refined aromas that easily last all day. Perhaps these are more a special occasion scent. Date night: Drinks with the boss: buy a cheesecake at Costco: You know, chic things. - The Viking and the Gentleman's Blends are probably my favorite working day fragrances. The Viking blend is not completely odor-free, but it is very subtle. It's the one I probably ran out of first. I love the Gentleman Blend and find it subtle enough that it's not too much to wear every day. - The pine scent fades super fast, but starts to smell rough and masculine. Free for my pine soap. It is my weekend scent until I finish my bottle. I have not decided if I want to order it again, unless I get the 4-pack again. - The OG smell just reminds me too much of a household cleaner. It is actually not a offensive (or even a bad) odor, I just don't want to smell like lemon. Promise is everything. I would not order it again, but I did not throw the bottle away. If the Pine bottle is gone, I will probably switch to using it.
Well, it doesn't smell like a cigar, tobacco, or even pipe tobacco (as I see some reviews have said). Like, nothing at all comparable to a type of tobacco product I have ever smelled. For me it smells like ... well ... a kind of coke. It is definitely a sweet scent, and the hints of vanilla give it a strange coca-cola or root beer scent. It is not necessarily bad, but it was completely unexpected. And that's just in the bottle (before you put it in). Once it goes into the beard, it somehow smells a little different. The vanilla tones are certainly more noticeable, but there is still no smell of tobacco. It is just a nice scent that is not overbearing, but, again, unexpected. As for the hydrating purposes, it does its job. My beard and skin both felt great, and they also looked great. What I liked most about the product is that the scent is simply friendly when it wears out, rather than changing into a newer, unpleasant odor. If you have tried as much perfumed beard oil as I have, you know what I mean by this. Instead of switching to something less pleasant after a few hours, the smell just fades a bit, which I really like. All in all, I would buy the product and this fragrance again.
I have tried a few other beard oils that worked pretty well to make my beard look cleaner and healthier, but after using it for about 3 days, I noticed that my beard was dramatically softer and easier to manage. I know it sounds like a line from those horrible shampoo commercials where ladies scream with pleasure, but seriously, my messy thick beard hair now feels soft. The only reason I don't give this 5 is the smell. The scent is very strong - you can still smell it in my beard at the end of a long day. It also does not smell like cigars or tobacco. I smoke a pipe every day, I know how tobacco smells. It doesn't smell like that. Others have pinched the scent pretty accurately as a vanillacola type aroma. The vanilla tone is very strong, but it also contains a lot of cola, probably from the tea tree oil. Although it is not a bad smell, it is a bit sweeter than I would like. I feel that the high amount of tea tree oil in the blends means that most of their oils will have a similar cola-like aroma. If that's the case, I'll handle it, damn it, my beard feels and looks good!
UPDATE: I used a little less oil this time and noticed that the smell was not so unbearable. My beard is also noticeably softer with this oil versus other oils. And I have no allergic reaction. So I changed my rating from a 2 to a 4! But it still smells of Christmas, not cigars. Anyone who thinks this smells like cigars has no idea how cigars actually smell. I smoke cigars, this does not smell like cigars. no one thinks that this vanilla cola scent has ever had a vanilla cola. I drink vanilla coke, this does not smell like vanilla coke. it smells like the mall during Christmas when they spray that artificial pine scent into the air. it's intense. far too strong adjacent to disgusting. usually things with perfumes in it make me itch like crazy ) so far nothing in terms of a response, but I will update if I have a response.
Some of the best-selling (and perhaps most famous) beard products you can buy today are Beardbrand’s.
This company has unmistakably paved the way to make beard oil the main product it is now for their shows on shows (both TV and online).
So how does their Tea Treebeard oil relate to the new and existing manufacturers in the field?
It contains one of the mildest oils you can regularly use, jojoba oil, helping to keep your skin and beard well-nourished and hydrated throughout the day. Jojoba oil also offers an excellent basis for all other ingredients to do their job.
Let’s take a look at the glycerin.
Used as an all-natural humidifier (i.e., dormant in moisture), glycerin helps to strengthen that natural moisture barrier in your skin by ultimately increasing comfort for your face.
Although the individual essential oils are not on the list, Beardbrand states that this product contains notes of peppermint, tea tree, and vanilla and evokes an odor that is ‘cool, clean and crunchy.’
This gives you that pleasant and refreshing scent in the early morning hours.
One of the most critical bottlenecks for this beard oil is the restriction valve. Although some men may like the compact design, a restriction valve makes it more challenging to get a consistent amount of beard oil from the bottle with each use.
Our biggest complaint about this beard oil is the price. This particular beard oil is a huge pill to swallow by recommending a charge of $ 25 per ounce.

Questions & Answers
is this the same beardbrand which was on shark tank
Yes it is
Does this moisturize the skin and eliminate beard druff? I want healthy beard/skin, I'm not interested about styling, which products should I use?
This product would perfectly suit your needs. You can say goodbye to dandruff with any oil, but the aroma of the Beardbrand tea tree does it with a pleasant scent that is not as overwhelming as a bit of cedar can be. In addition, it provides good coverage and absorption. It will not leave your face greasy!
On average, how long does the single ounce last if used daily?
Mine lasted about two months. You do not have to use much at all. My beard measures about 15 inches and a dime-sized amount was enough for my beard, mustache and the little exposed facial skin I had. It was also a great moisturizer for my skin. It's worth the money for a lot ...
Do you have to wash it out and which beard brand oils would you recommend? Thanks guys
Normally at the end of the soaking. But I would recommend washing your face every day
Reviews must be separated by smell. Not everyone will like the same aroma, the company manufactures high quality products. Everything I've tried is fantastic. Personally, I like Tea Tree, I have the oil, the washing and the softener and the balm to comb. All good. People do not mention what was sent in the review and the amazing bundles, so you do not know what smell people are referring to. It's all subjective anyway. If you buy directly from them, they will exchange your aroma at no cost. Great service If you want the best and want a continuity of aroma in several products, Beardbrand is the way to go. Period.
Do not bring the November shave! Ok, ladies, this is a must for your man! With the new trend beard, this will not disappoint you! No more scruffy and dry beard! This is a great moisturizer for a man's beard. Sensation not greasy and surprisingly the last small bottle!
I'm not sure if my beard softens, but it smells really good. Like teatree oil and mint. Very soft smell
It smells great and softens my beard. It stops any itching and also allows you to "comb" your beard a little and stay in place.
Common Essential Oils In Beard Oil
Eucalyptus is a top note and has antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory properties. It is also considered an astringent (tightens the skin).
A top note, tea tree combats dandruff, relieves itching and also combats acne. It’s considered an immunostimulant.
Pine needle is useful as an astringent and immunostimulatory agent. Considered a middle tone.
A base note, cedarwood, relieves itching, combats acne, relieves respiratory problems, is anti-infectious and astringent, and is even useful as an insect repellent.
Sandalwood relieves the itching and works anti-inflammatory and astringent. It is considered a base note.
Scented And Unscented Beard Oil
This is a debate that disturbs most users of beard oil. Even the companies have not yet decided this. That is why they produce an unscented version with a few scented options for the same beard oil.
Now let’s see what this debate entails.
The scent of beard oil can represent the ingredients or is an added odor. The smell works by creating an aura around you, and we know through aromatherapy that it can improve the health of the body, mind, and soul.
The effects of a specific odor, however, are very personal.
Unperfumed beard oil, on the other hand, has no discreet odor.
People can choose an unscented beard oil for various reasons. These include sensitivity to a specific odor or different odors. Some people also use unscented beard oil because they don’t want it to overwhelm their perfume or perfume. Also, some people may use unscented beard oil because they do not want to irritate other people.
So it is again a personal choice to use unscented beard oil.
Ultimately, there is no clear winner in this perfumed our unscented beard oil battle, and it all comes down to personal choice or preference.
Frequently Asked Questions About Best Beard Oils
How do best beard oils work?
Beards collect and camouflage all sorts of filthy things, from food to dirt, and damage your sun’s rays that kill bacteria. This can result in a variety of unwanted side effects, mainly dry skin and comedones – enlarged beard follicles filled with debris from the dead skin and the natural oil of your body. You probably know them as blackheads.
The vast majority of all beard oil, usually more than 90%, consists of carrier oils. These base oils soften your whiskers and help with taming, if not wholly eliminate beard itching. Carrier oils also hydrate and nourish your skin.
Why should I use the best smelling beard oils?
Rub your face over your face. That rough, spiky feeling is the result of coarse facial hair. Thicker than the hair on your head, beard hair must be tamed if you want people to feel comfortable with it and make it so irritating that you shave the whole thing off.
Beard oil softens coarse hair and makes it smooth and more accessible to style. And behind the scenes, it helps to condition the underlying skin, reducing the chance of itching or flaking. Finally, as we have said, beard oils tend to be perfumed, so you can smell your beard all day long without spraying it with aftershave.
How and when should you apply it?
As with any healthcare product, it is often up to you to determine how often you need to apply beard oil. Some oils can easily absorb and wash out, making them the ideal of everyday use. Some have a little more power, making them better suited for anyone who doesn’t have the time to wash his beard every day.
If you do use it, we recommend washing your beard with a beard shampoo that is better suited for coarse hair than regular shampoo. Dry or blow-dry the towel depending on how thick it is and apply the beard oil according to the instructions on the bottle. Comb it through or work it in with your fingers and smooth the beard to finish it.
When is the best time to apply beard oil?
Experts recommend applying beard oil immediately after you have showered or washed your face. That is when your beard and the skin below need the most moisture. Using it is simple, make sure your face is dehydrated so that the oil can absorb. Put a few drops in the palm of your hand and rub your hands together so that the oil is evenly distributed. Gently massage your hands back and forth along the sides, along the front and through the bottom of your beard. Finish with a beard brush or comb to smooth the hair.
Can you use coconut oil instead?
Useful for bleaching your teeth, shouting at and throwing in a frying pan a-la Joe Wicks and now coconut as a care product is a real multi-tasker. Use it sparingly and work a small amount in your hands until it is melted before you work it through your beard. Less greasy than most oils thanks to the content of lauric acid, nourishes, and cares for the beard. You smell like a premium.
How To Apply Beard Oil?
Applying beard oil is extremely simple and should become part of your daily morning routine.
Once you are awake, jump in the shower and give your beard a gentle scrub with a beard shampoo instead of soap (this will retain the extra moisture).
After you have finished your shower, make sure your beard is thoroughly dried.
Then you would take your beard oil and pour about a penny (about 3-4 drops) into the palm of your hand.
Rub in your hands and massage your beard, starting from the base of the follicle and working towards the tip of the hair.
The amount of beard oil may vary depending on the length of your beard.
The selection is almost limitless. As the number of beards grows, beard care increases. Which best smelling beard oils does your beard do best?
