Questions & Answers
Hi, I'm very prone to ingrown neck hairs and am considering this for my neck. Can it be used on the neck and face as a shaver on a daily basis?
It shaves close to the skin but not like a razor u will love it.. no hair bumps
can I use this to shave y head? read some reviews on this and some say not for use on top of head? like bald look but dont want to use razor.
Absolutely. It's provides a very close skin shave.
does trimmer come with trimmer guide for different beard lengths
No, this is a pretty specific tool just for outlining (straight across back of neck) it's not for cutting hair on your head
What is the wattage on this device? i am going to be abroad in nz for 2 months where i would have to use a converter just want to ensure it will work
The andis t outliners are 120 hz, you will need a converter if you’re going overseas.
Rex T. Paradox
I've shaved my head with this without any problems and usually use it for body and facial grooming. My only issue is getting hair out the inside of the clippers, if you don't get the hair that gets trapped inside out it gets hotter faster and alot of hair can get trapped inside believe me. The entire reason I bought this is because I damaged the wiring trying to clean my last Andis outliner. They get the job done no question but the trapped hair thing becomes a problem over time.
This thing is amazing! Cuts super close and is powerful yet quiet. I use it to buzz my head and face. It's so quick and plows through a week of no shaving with ease.Only knocks are it can run a little hot, it's corded and there's zero accessories that come with it. Regardless, it's a must buy.
This razor has replaced my ritual of shaving my head. It gives a really close cut. Other reviewers are spot on with hair not being too long when you use this. It works best on short hair so you can't go too long between cuts. You must press firmly to the scalp to get good contact and hair cutting. It takes a bit of time since the blade is shorter then full size clippers. No experience with beard/mustache performance but I figure it would be fine.
2-Wahl 5 star Razor Edger
There is much to say about the Razor Edger vs Wahl Detailer. In my opinion, however, the 5-star Razor is a bit better when it comes to edges.
Certainly, with 6.25, it is slightly longer than the other best hair cutters of its kind. The extremely slim design, however, offers a weight of only 0.6 lbs and great flexibility.
As with the T-Outliner, this man runs on an electromagnetic motor. It is weaker than Andis linings. Here you get bonus accessories: 3 T-combs (1 / 16 to 3 / 16 ) and a tool for the set of sheets, between the oil, brush and knife protector.
Instead of writing more, here is a video of how these best hair stylists perform:
The 5-star Razor Edger is the quietest trimmer in the Wahl product line. In fact, it is also rising above Andis’ models, which is a very important plus.
The weak point? Although this lean cutter is good for edge-ups, in my opinion, it is not as great as the T Liner or Detailer when it comes to other detailing work. A bit limited, in a way.
Questions & Answers
Can I used this product in europe? considering the electric frequency.
Only with an adapter.
Does it come with 1/16,1/4,1/8 guards?
It comes with three guards labeled "1/2, 1, and 1 1/12". I have been satisfied with the 1/2 and I keep really closely clipped facial hair.
its it dual voltage? 110-220 volts
The one I got was only single voltage 110v
This shaver has a lot of 'warnings' to it. What other shavers could anyone reccomend to bald my husband?
I use a Wahl Sterling. The Sterling has consistently work great on my customers.
How Did Did I Get Mush-Mouth
It usually doesn’t take me long to figure out whether or not I like something. I recently purchased the Wahl Detailers and the Andis Slimline Pro Li.The Detailers were only so so. I’m sure if I would’ve zero-gapped them, they would’ve improved a bit, but I figured, why even waste my time. The Slimline Pro Li’s were okay if you’re doing a hairline, but only so so if you’re lining up a beard/goatee. Basically it does just what the label/box says it does, “necklines and light touch-ups.The Wahl 5-Star Razor Edger was awesome! In fact I used it straight out the box, without adjusting/zero-gapping them. In fact, if you’re going to be lining your head or beard every day, you really don’t want “zero” gap. It will leave you with dark spots/scars from continuous lining, over time. Leave zero gap to the barbershop, where you’re only going to be getting lined once every week or longer. These came out the box very close to zero gap.The Wahl 5-Star Razor Edger give my Andis T-Outliners a good competitive run. I might need a little more time to say which one is the better of the two. But for now, I give these a 4.5 and the Andis T-Outliners a 4.67.
Just for the context of hair type - I’m a black dude, I like to keep my hair short, and I frequently give myself shape-ups.After trying the Andis T-Outliner, I was not only a little let down by the sharpness of the cut it gave (it was good but not great) but also had it completely die on me with only a years worth of use. It was time for an upgrade.I’ve spent tons of time online searching for the closest shave you can possibly get from a set of clippers and my God these are it. These include a warning that the clippers can and will cut your skin if you’re not careful, and with good reason! I am not disappointed with these trimmers whatsoever.
ok so i own the wahl detailer and the wahl edgeri purchase both on amazon, if you ask me which one to buy i will say "i dont know" they work very similar to meThey both get little bit hot, the detailer is light weight and smaller and it has a large blade,The wahl razor edger is little bigger and it has a smaller blade, the both can do the same job for youNote:wahl detailer.. i set up the wahl detailer to 0 overlap and it feels good man, it feels like if it was scratching you but you can't see itOver all it does the job nice lines and everythingNote: wahl razor edger,i set up to 0 overlap, and it feels better than the detailer same job, clean nice lines and everything, also the blade is smaller so it will help you little bit more than a large blade, but it will not sratch you as bad as the detailerI dont know which one to recmmend, so buy it and try it
Stands up to a massive clientele, darn near powerful enough to cut an entire head of hair with (over comb). Still can't do very well on facial hair of men that have stubble like tree trunks, but nothing can to be fair. Best set of edgers I've had in 12 years of barbering. WAHL never fails me. Favorite company. Andis and other companies break too easy, sometimes within weeks. Stick with Wahl for pro's!
3-Wahl 9818 Stainless Steel Groomer
The Wahl 9818 Stainless Steel Groomer is one of the best line pliers you will ever encounter. It is a new, multifunctional tool that delivers advanced lithium-ion performance. In addition, it has a high-tech design that offers versatility, allowing it to trim, cut, detail and shave.
The device comes with a 5-year limited warranty so you can buy with confidence, knowing that you will be helped accordingly if something is not right. It comes with everything you need for ultimate ease of use.
Wahl Clipper Corporation was founded in 1919 and is one of the first companies to invent the first practical electric hair clipper. Ideally, this production company is in the professional and caring category, as can be seen in the top quality products, such as the Wahl 9818 stainless steel groomer.
Today, Wahl Clipper Corporation has more than 1,500 employees around the world, and this is enough to show you how far the company has come.
Questions & Answers
Is the battery replaceable at end of life?
Is this clipper good for baldy hair cuts?
I used this all-purpose clipper (hair on the top of the head / hair on the face) is fine and I mean, it is VERY low power, so I was warned that I would give 5 or 6 out of 10 to use on head, so be warned (I would also give it a 6 out of 10) (although it gets 8.5 out of 10 for portability)
What are the width of the trimmer combs(in mm or cm)? I'm not asking about the cutting depths but the actual width.
There are two clipping combs. One has a cutting surface of 1/4 inch (6 mm) in width, and the second has a cutting surface of 1-3 / 8 inches (3.5 cm). The actual width of both combs is slightly wider, but those are the actual cutting widths. I hope that helps.
How close does this cut if you are using it to shave? Will it be .5mm or closer?
I'm not sure ... About 1/16 ", but I'd suggest you call Wahl, I'm sure they could help you.
This hairdresser does everything they say he does. It fits wonderfully and constantly every time. The blades and other inserts cover all types of grooming situations, from whiskers and eyebrows to full beards. It allows me to cut different parts of my beard in different lengths, without anyone being wiser. And the thin micro-cropping heads allow you to reach small places on your face and cut off anything that is bothering you right now. And although it makes noise, it is the quietest of all the trimmers I have ever had. When I bought this one, I debated for a moment if I really had to pay more for all the metal instead of the plastic. I was especially worried when I read that there were many critics who had complained about the formation of rust on their heads. Obviously, I decided to get this metalhead and I'm glad I did. It works very well, and (almost *) has never had a problem. Now he is three years old and still runs and cuts like new; I could not say that for any of the plastic ancestors I've had. And rust is not a problem, the reason is simple: I followed Wahl's guidance and I greased the cut parts once a month with a little oil each; It takes about 75 seconds and that's all I do. It is not a sign of oxidation. * The "almost". The part of the shaver where it is recharged is also a means to prevent the hairdresser from running unnoticed when traveling, so avoid the risk of opening your suitcase and discover that your hairdresser has been left without charge. Somehow, my sensor sometimes thinks that the preparer is in travel mode, even when it is not, which of course prevents one from using it. I found a solution when moving the sensor. After doing it several times during the last months (a little frustrating), I called Wahl, who offered to send me a new hairdresser, although this is not covered by the guarantee. They are clearly behind your product.
It had the oldest model with the round cargo port that finally stopped loading. It lasted several years before I died, so I bought another one thinking that I would get another few years. When it arrived, I was surprised to see that they had updated this model with a new style charger. Instead of a round standard-looking DC connector, it has a trapezoidal plug with 2 separate plugs in the base. Assuming that I solved the problem with the load, I would say that it solved the only problem I had with my previous one. Whenever you clean the trimmer with the supplied brush and grease the blades every few uses, it will stay sharp and last a long time. long time. 5 stars.
This is by far the best electric razor I have ever had. I am the kind of person who does hours and hours of research before basically buying anything, and sometimes it takes a bit of trial and error. I bought the Andis T-Outliner for the first time since it had excellent reviews. It was a beast, but not what I was looking for. If I worked at a hairdresser, I'm sure I would have loved it. But I just want a high-quality electric razor for domestic use to keep my beard tamed. So, I returned the Andis One and got this one and I am very happy that I did it. This thing is very impressive. When you hold it for the first time in your hand, you immediately notice the high quality. It has the right weight and the stainless steel body is very elegant and resistant. It comes with tons of protective trimmers, so you are sure to trim your beard to the perfect length and fade away if necessary. He also has a hair cutter on his nose and a shaving attachment for stubble on his neck. I could not be more satisfied with this product and would recommend it to anyone.
4-Wahl 5 Star Detailer
Wahls shining star in the trimmer market, the # 8081 Detailer comes with a broadleaf and seductive body. Seriously, when it comes to model design, this is a complete winner.
I recommend this and not the Pro 8290 version with which we have experimented. Reason? The extra-wide T-leaf (approximately 1/4, wider.)
In addition to chrome and burgundy beauty, the Detailers are also very compact. With a weight of only 5.4 euro and only 0.43 kg, they are the most useful tool for lining / universal purposes you will find. Talk about aesthetics and functionality!
Again, you have the advantage that you get a few accessories. Three conductors (1/16, 1, 3, 1/8, 1, 3 and 1/4, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, together with a brush, knife protector and clipper oil.
The big difference is the rotary engine on which the Detailer rotates. It is not as powerful as the Outliner, but it also helps to keep the trimmer cooler. In terms of sound, it is comparable to the most popular model of Andis, in contrast to the quiet Razor Edger.
When it comes to hair details, lining, necklines, and others, this machine is a total champion. That is why it is also included in our best list of trimmers.
There is a catch: he exchanges his cooler controls and lightweight, stylish body for sharp knives. In other words, it is slightly more sensitive to irritating skin if you are not careful.
When you get the Detailer, pay attention to the pressure you exert when styling your customers. It is not as forgiving as the T-Outliner to offer the best trimmer options for hairlines.
Questions & Answers
Hello! Can you please tell me if this detailed works in Russia?
This item is intended for use in 110 -120 voltage ranges and has a standard U.S plug. It will not work in Russia.
does it work well sculpting and maintaining beards?
Yes it's very precise and the best I've used so far and I've used many highly recommended you'll be happy
Hello friend, i would to know if you ship to Brazil. if yes, how costs it? thank's so much.

Can anyone tell me how wide the blade is (in either inches or millimeters)?
The "t-wide" blade is 1-11/16 inches in width. The guards that fit over the blade are exactly 1-3/4 inches in width.
Bought to replace andis peanut which died on me yesterday, free same day shipping is awesome i might add. Was very skeptical about clipper quality, hoping not to receive an already used one as some here claimed they had. To my delight i received a brand new machine. Very compact, sophisticated look. Quiet when turned on and lengthy and durable power cord. Immediately adjusted the noticeably pre oiled blades to zero gap and took em for a spin. Blades are crisp cutting and a breeze to adjust! Very pleased with my purchase would recommend to anyone who is looking for a reliable top notch alternative to an andis clipper. Would buy again.
I purchase this for my boy and I for our own grooming needs, from a close-to-skin beard shaving to hair cut final touches along the edges. However, the ladies of the house found the uses for it and constantly grab the unit. Feminine hygiene tasks put the unit to the ringer. The unit comes not zero. It appears to be 1/16 offset between the comb and cutter. I semi-zero it, creating an even closer save. We ensure to clean it properly after each use, lube, and store it in a dry and cool area. Going from person to person, the comb-cutter enjoy the 10 seconds babercide bath, dried, and lube before storage. Comb-cutter is still going strong and sharp after months of usages. I'll wait to see how long the blade lasts until I need to sharpen it, using the professional sharpening system.Motor is much more quiet than the other Wahl Pro hair trimmer. After 25 minutes of usages, the casing of the motor is only luke warm, compared to my other cutters, which are much more considerably warmer, borderline hot.
Full disclosure I use this trimmer off label. As a bald man this beauty allows me to keep a good looking scalp nearly as close cut as shaving while avoid the barbershop. I have tried 3 different trimmers the Classic 76 with a 0A 1.2mm blade, the Andis T-outliner, and this model. Short answer this is the best for my purpose, long answer to follow. The Classic 76 cuts hair the best of the three, it's what a professional barber would use. If your going to fade or keep any length of hair for a flat top this is your unit. It cuts without pulling, it is precise and it has easily interchangeable blades. These run around $100 and will last for years. But for a bald man trying to keep a clean look the lowest blade 0A 1.2mm is not close enough to give the nearly shaved look I prefer,The Andis unit trimms a little closer than the Wahl but is significantly heavier and a bit unwieldy. It works well for the indented use of cleaning around the ear etc...The Wahl unit is light making it easier to use and to travel with. A couple notes to achieve good resultsit helps to cut your hair dry and often. If I wait more than 3 days before cutting I get a lot of pulling but if I keep it short I can maintain a very close cut with none of the inconvenience of shaving with a blade. If you found this review of use please provide positive feedback.

My original post was an expression of concern that the product was not new because it was not wrapped. The company contacted me... Initially, they came across rude, but I forgave them... lol...As for the product....Turns out... I just have sensitive skin... Know your body is the point. I bought them for a bald head and shaving... They were supposed to be an upgrade over my Peanuts... Well.... I am a bonehead. That is not what they are for.... They are specifically for edge ups and getting that crisp line... I did an edge up on the front of my hair and I have also shaved my beard and neck and these things are mega sharp! I mean the leaving cuts and scars.... sharp... Buuuuuut again.. I have sensitive skin so that is on me and not the product. I have decided to keep them instead of sending them back for 2 reasons... For 1, I read somewhere that the blade calms down after some uses... and 2, eventhough I am in pain for the first day or 2 after shaving, I do like the closeness that I get... here is the cool part... I do not put a razor on my face as I get bumps... these clippers give me that closeness and I get a few bumps, but not like what I would get with a razor... I also gets some cuts and skin peeling, but that is much longer story....Summary... Buy them if you need a edge up or if you are barber and want to get crisp lines.... Buy them if you do not mind some pain for a close shave. Buy them because the price is right as they were the same as if I bought some new Peanuts... And there you go....
With a price of just under $ 50, the Andis T-liner is a well-designed edge-up clipper that is suitable for the professional barbershop. The combination of the powerful engine, the excellent brand, and the robust design ensure that you get a competitive product.
An 8-foot cord is included, which provides the motor with power. The engine is estimated to be 4 times as strong as the average engine on the market. Because of the power of the engine, many hairdressing salons choose to offer the customer an excellent service.
The magnetic motor is relatively quiet, which means that customers are not deterred by walking in a noisy barber shop. The engine also does not heat the body of the hair trimmer considerably. This means that you can use it for hours without being worn out.
The rounded design of the body means that you can get a good grip on the Andis T lining. This is essential when you make a cut and need precision to get the job done. The body itself is on the large side but works well for those who want to maintain a greater unity.
Questions & Answers
This type of Andis limper can it be used with 240 voltage?
No, they're 120 volt. But, they work great when using a voltage adapter, even the travel (i.e. tourist) adapters you can buy. I used these when stationed in Italy & Germany (and other countries when TDY) with travel voltage adapters -- no problems whatsoever.
Does it come with any guards? Or do you need to purchase separately?
I asked my son and he said yes they do. Hope this help.
how many comb included in this package? anybody recommended this machine to friends and family? how is its performance?
I can't remember but they are good affordable clippers. I upgraded to the grey T liners for closer shave because I'm bald. It came with 5 or 6 combs
Can I use it for shapeups?
No, it's for edging and clean shave.
This T liner works perfectly. My husband loves it. Very lightweight and easy to handle.will recommend.
Sharp lineup. Plus it comes wit some of the levels things if your trying to cut your hair
I Had these for about 5 years and they worked perfect (up until i dropped them and broke the blade)...However for those curious about this product in particular they are built slim compared to others and i think that helps when trying to outline my cut as opposed to some of the regular sized t-outliners (maybe personal preference though). vibration isnt too bad as i've read some others to be and the item doesnt heat up too bad either. im meticulous with my line ups so i have felt them get warm but it was after maybe 30 mins or so of constant use makin sure the line was right. overall the product is excellent!
My husband loves these!!
6-Andis Styliner II
The Styliner 2 does not win design awards with its rather boring-looking 5.75-³ black hard plastic housing. It is also a bit heavier at 0.8 lbs.
Nevertheless, under this somewhat boring appearance, the trademark 7200 SPM electromagnetic engine. It promises you a smooth and powerful operation, ready to shape some excellent lines.
Dear her edges? Hardly, but the Styler II can do decent edge-ups / lines and around-the-ear work. However, the knife is not as sharp as a Razor Edger.
The biggest advantage of the Styliner trimmer is the ridiculously cool operation. I’m not just talking about the knives – the body is just as good about heating as the other models.
A very important point, because no customer likes hot sheets on their bare skin!
Is there another catch? Of course. If you appreciate zero holes and work on how the knife is set, bad news. The Styler II is very difficult to adjust compared to the other models I have mentioned here. You really need to know what you are doing here.
Questions & Answers
Can you put the gtx blade on it ?
no. it won't fit gtx blade. gtx is only for outliner trimmer
Is this product for dual voltage that is 100-220 voltage use?
If it was it would say it on the back. If it doesn't assume that it isn't. Plus. If you use a power converter it may not work as well and you can still burn it out. Make sure it says 220
Barbers, do these get hot quick? Like the andis outliners, they get hot fast. I hate it. Do the styliner 2s stay cool?
If you are using the for taping ...no
Is this a cordless trimmer?
No! It has a cord. It is a grate clipper. I'm was I bought it.
I have went through a number of clippers over the past few years, using everything from beard trimmers to other well respected clippers (Oster Fast Feed was ineffective as a balding clipper and stopped working in less than a year). I had been in search of a go-to balding clipper to shave my head as close as possible and finally decided on this product after reading a number of reviews. So far I have been very impressed with the performance of this product. It gives a close, clean shave and is extremely smooth and easy to handle. It has not left any gash marks or major blemishes on my skin, and still manages to give a very close shave. One thing to keep in mind is that it is not adjustable, so it is best for lining, shaping, and shaving.
Great liners but I unfortunately dropped them and chipped the blade. I replaced the blade but they don't cut like they did initially. My suggestion is that you take good care of these liners if so they'll do a fantastic job!
I got this as secondary tool to and it's not as sharp as I like but It's good for kids hair cuts and fading out the nape area. If anything they can always be adjusted so that they cut closer. I love that it stays cool longer too. Shipment was a breeze. It came right on time
Used this regularly in high school and decided to get again after a few years and more than enough shavers. Works well with the Remington Pre-shave stick and after being zero gapped. However, it does cause irritation and is nowhere near as fast or efficient as a good shaver, such as the Braun Series 7 - 790cc Pulsonic Shaver System (which is a must buy, in my humble opinion). Good for lining up, as well.
7-Wahl Bump Prevent
The Wahl Bump Prevent is a cheap hair clipper that is great if you have never used such a care product. The functions here are not as great as the other hair trimmers on this list, but for the price, you get an excellent deal.
The self-sharpening knives ensure that the life of the product will be relatively long. This is great for those buyers who do not want the hassle of buying another unit soon because of boring knives. Even a budget-friendly product must contain sharp sheets that allow the grim task to be executed.
This device operates on batteries, but you will have to buy disposable batteries. This can be a hassle if you do not want to buy batteries to ensure that the product works perfectly. The cost of buying disposable batteries can also make this product expensive over time.
The Wahl Bump Prevent comes with a warranty without warranty. This should give you the peace of mind that the cutting process runs smoothly. The ergonomic design of this Wahl edge-up trimmer means that you can keep it comfortable while cutting the hair.
Moreover, the weight is only 9 grams and relatively small, which means that it is a great option for the traveler. Because of the low price of about $ 15-20, the traveler can not worry about the loss of this edger clipper.
Questions & Answers
Is this a wide T-blade trimmer, or the regular narrow blade?
its a very narrow blade, the old wider blade was better
Do this product give bumps
It irritates the skin, does not help with bumps. It is the exact same product and blade that Wahl markets as a beard trimmer (silver /black) but a different color. You're better off going to ebay.uk & looking at the battery operated Wahl What a Shaver (It's a T-blade.) Or go to Norelco's website & look at the OneBlade. I've tried both - OneBlade gives the closest, least irritating trim/shave.
Is it made in USA? Thanks.
Made in Peoples Republic of China not Peoples Republic of America...
do it give some bumps
Not at all.
Great value for the money! I'm susceptible to getting bumps and this product has proven to be far more effective than $100 shavers I've tried. Some opportunity for improvements are reduction of noise and battery monitoring capability.
Cut real close. Kind of loud
Love charged hair clippers, movements used in cutting so much easier without cord being in the way.
perfect, replaced older model wahl bump free trimmer

Questions & Answers
Hi does it work with 240v overseas power coz i really wanna buy one
This is written on the charger: 100v-220v .. 50-60Hz .. 6W
can you zero gap the blade?
Can you use guards wuth this trimmer
I am a Master Barber. We refer to attachments to adjust the amount we wish to cut. A guard would be a blade protector. Not certain what they mean by saying it comes with 3 guards. Will someone please verify? Thank you.
Can someone who recently bought this here (2018) can confirm the charger is 110-240V?
Yes, Work in Israel With 220V . Also on the transformer wrote 110-240V
I own 4 of these and on everything ...they are the best and hold a long charge and great blades..I even change it out with regular andis T blade with modifications. You dont loose any power and cuts powerful.highly recommended
All I can say is 2 three letter words. WTF and WOW. I have been cutting hair for 24 years and have used every clipper/trimmer out there. I use a variation of Wahl and Andis. The Andis T outliner is my go for lining and balding my head. I recommend Zero gapping these trimmers and you will be amazed. Lithium batteries have come a long way. Seem strong and are sharp when you adjust the blades. I cannot speak on the longevity of these yet, but so far so good. These are especially good when traveling to other countries because the plug is the universal type with two small prongs. (I recently blew up my brand new Andis Super Liner in Thailand even though I used a converter).
Ordered these after viewing numerous videos with amazing results from some top knotch barbers all over the Us even without being modified. I have read some reviews that the slim line li pro came messed up. I can say mines came early and nothing was wrong everything came in the box. I have yet to trim with them (I will update). I will also be modifying these to fit the modified original T-outliner blade from Andis. Pictures added below
I’m a female with an undercut getting into amateur self-barbering. The clippers I had couldn’t deliver the sharpness for the neckline, were too bulky for a beginner around the ears, and couldn’t do a decent crisp line for a design. A YouTube barber is always seen using this trimmer, so I got it. I plan to zero gap it after I get a bit more practice, but even as is, it’s lightweight, easy to use, and works quite well. I’d imagine it would be great for tight spaces like beard and goatee touch-ups.
The Pro-Mate T-Precisioner is an excellent choice for the professional who is interested in a powerful model. The price is higher than the average edge-up clipper on the market, but you also get extra performance.
With just under $ 100 you get the world’s first Double Bay design.
The design is tight and fits well in your hand, so you can get a comfortable grip. For the professional, the precision handle means that they can have a higher level of control. Consequently, the end result will be better for the customer.
The advanced DLC sheet with plasma technology ensures that the cut is smooth and consistent every time. The knives do not have any sharpness after a few weeks or months.
They are designed for heavy daily use, so hairdressers can add it to their toolset.
You can also replace the blades of this product with the Andis T-outliner blades. If you happen to have one of those in the barbershop, this contributes to the versatility of the product.
The heavy cord will stand the test of time, but when it wears out, it can easily be replaced without soldering. The designers understand that this product is for professionals and have identified the cable as one of the weak points.
Questions & Answers
How many strokes per minute does this trimmer have?
Don't know I sold them 2 weeks after buying them
Does this trimmer have a magnetic motor?
Yes. High powered magnetic motor.
If anyone could help me, I was thrilled to purchase these but they seem to be pulling the hair and causing lots of ouch! I tried oiling twice ..
Sorry mines were doing the same thing and i had to return them, i was excited for these trimmers but sadly i was disappointed when i got them
Been a barber for 25 years and I must say I thought I would never like a trimmer better than the Andis t ouliner. I believe I have found it. The promate gives you a better cut, while staying cooler. Andis tend to get hot quickly, but these doesn't. They are also easier to maintenance. The blades also come perfectly preset. In my opinion, promate is the future. The service from this company is also A1.
The trimmer itself is outstanding. Even after close to zero gapping, the promate blades are not great. I replaced them with Andis blades and they work great. The stock promate blades just aren't manufactured as sharp as andis blades.
I'm a barber and I love these ... Blade is so sharp but is very comfortable to the client ... I will be adding more of these to my Arsenal
best trim clipper on the market!

Matthew Andis worked with John Oster and Henry Meltzer to come to Andis OM Manufacturing Company around 1920 – 21. The three were lucky because the newly formed company was contractually made to make tools for making clipper blades for manual non-working motorized hair trimmer. Although the collaboration lasted only a year, Andis Manufacturing Company was not affected at all. Instead, it continued to grow and later became a world producer of a hair clipper

do you recommend this product for a barber
I really Like this product
Does this set come with metal guards or are they all plastic?
does it come with the gaurds
Products used with 220v power or not
No adapter included with purchase
Use it every day as a barber and after a year it is still running like new!
I got these for cutting my sons’ hair and I should have bought these sooner. I was skeptical because some people were receiving used/bad shipments.. Rolled the dice and I was pleased to see everything as advertised. The Envy clipped as expected. No pulling and a overall smooth cut. If you are a Wahl user, the guard system is different. The beginning guards are 0, 1/2, 1, and 1 1/2, and if you’re like me, I went off numbers and not the length it says on the guard. For the TOutliners, geez, where have these been over the years. I know they’ve been out and a lot of people uses them, but I just no have come around and man do they hit.
Great job with this combo. My clipper cuts precise with one stroke effortlessly. The trimmer makes flawlessly crispy lines and designs. I would definitely recommend this set. I’m definitely a satisfied customer! Shipping was fast with no delays or damages. I did not modify the clipper or trimmer, I used them straight out of the box without any issues. Great set for barbers of all skill sets.
Great clippers. I feel like a pro now. I've used it about 10 times on my own hair, and it did a great job. Just keep it clean and oil before and after use.
Why buy a hair trimmer?
As a gift
Edge-up clippers fall within a reasonable price range, so you can purchase them as gifts for a family member or friend. If they are the type of person who likes to take care of themselves, then it is the perfect gift to buy. However, if you find that they do not really care about hair or beard styles where such personal care is required, this product may be insufficient.
Since you purchase the product as a gift, you may not understand the specific requirements that the user will have. That is why it makes sense to buy a product with a number of well-rounded functions that are suitable for the average person. Going for one of the top brands such as Wahl and Oster is a great idea.
A professional hairdresser
For the professional hairdresser among you, an edge-up clipper is a must to provide the details that customers need. Customers who know exactly what they want will pay attention to the small details and you can meet these requirements with this product.
The versatility of the hair trimmer with the highest edge also makes it possible to perform a haircut that may not be possible without hair. Your customers will be so impressed that they want to come back for more. You will find that some customers join services that only require the use of cutting clamps. Hairdressers who do not have this clipper simply lose their business.
For personal use
People who like to take care of their appearance can invest in the hair trimmers with the highest edge and carry out all the care activities themselves. This is the best option for those who are proactive and want to try out a number of different styles.
Care can make you feel better about what you look like and gives you a boost for self-confidence. You will find that the ease of using edge-up trimmers gives you great versatility to shape your beard or sideburns to your taste.
You can also experiment with different styles at home, which may not give you the confidence to go to your local hairdresser. Edge trimmers are an excellent investment if you want to trim or if you want to be more proactive in personalizing your appearance.
How to improve a sharp setup with a hair trimmer
Nailing a really neat lining or edge up requires some practice and dedication to your art as a hairdresser. There are, however, some things that you can better follow.
Start after cutting / clearing
Start with detailing after you have finished cutting. Make sure there is no leftover hair around the lining areas of your client. The same applies to products such as fats or pomades. You need everything sparkling clean.
Watch out with the pressure
As I said, knives can be pretty sharp. If you exert too much pressure, you risk skin irritation and get red spots on your client’s skin.
Choose a starting point
Some people start on the sides, others in the middle of the hairline. For most hairdressers, the middle is the right place. Your hairline or edger trimmers should be placed horizontally in the hairline.
You make vertical movements when you go to the sides.
It is always important to do thorough research before working on a product. This increases your chances of taking a better quality product home.
