Questions & Answers
What is the wattage on this device? i am going to be abroad in nz for 2 months where i would have to use a converter just want to ensure it will work
The andis t outliners are 120 hz, you will need a converter if you’re going overseas.
Hi, I'm very prone to ingrown neck hairs and am considering this for my neck. Can it be used on the neck and face as a shaver on a daily basis?
It shaves close to the skin but not like a razor u will love it.. no hair bumps
Hello! Does anyone think this could be used as a body hair trimmer? I would NOT trust clippers down below, but for legs, chest, arms, etc?
You should only use this on very short hair. If the hair is too long, this will not well. Try it out. It is a great little harmless machine. Would not harm anything.
what is dry shaving
Regular shaving when your face is not wet

I've shaved my head with this without any problems and usually use it for body and facial grooming. My only issue is getting hair out the inside of the clippers, if you don't get the hair that gets trapped inside out it gets hotter faster and alot of hair can get trapped inside believe me. The entire reason I bought this is because I damaged the wiring trying to clean my last Andis outliner. They get the job done no question but the trapped hair thing becomes a problem over time.
This thing is amazing! Cuts super close and is powerful yet quiet. I use it to buzz my head and face. It's so quick and plows through a week of no shaving with ease.Only knocks are it can run a little hot, it's corded and there's zero accessories that come with it. Regardless, it's a must buy.
This razor has replaced my ritual of shaving my head. It gives a really close cut. Other reviewers are spot on with hair not being too long when you use this. It works best on short hair so you can't go too long between cuts. You must press firmly to the scalp to get good contact and hair cutting. It takes a bit of time since the blade is shorter then full size clippers. No experience with beard/mustache performance but I figure it would be fine.
2. Wahl Professional 8051 Razor Edger
The Wahl Professional 8051 Razor Edger is designed exclusively for the professional use and delivers exceptional results.
It offers razor blades that are close and this makes it ideal for precise chamfering and trimming.
In addition to being versatile, the 8051 model features an ergonomic housing for maneuverability.
It also does not heat up during use, which means that you will use it for a long time.
You can not talk about the history of Wahl Clipper Corporation without mentioning the junior high school junior, Leo J. Wahl. Wahl, a technical student at the University of Illinois, designed a vibrating mechanical stimulator for his uncle J. Frank Wahl. The uncle then opened a small factory in Sterling, Illinois, where he started producing the massagers. Leo J. Wahl later took over and improved the products, so that consumers kept more of the products of Wahl.
Questions & Answers
can you use it for all parts of the body, eg: armpits, chest, crotch?
If you know what you're doing I don't see why not. That said I personally would seek a gentler solution.
its it dual voltage? 110-220 volts
The one I got was only single voltage 110v
I just purchased the wahl Lithium ion trimmers, is the razor edge better than these? It also comes with a T-blade.
I have found this to be the best trimmer. I go through a lot of them as a stylist. These don't bite and they're quieter than most.
Can I used this in Ghana without any step down. What is the voltage
This is meant to be used with 110v. I don't know if there's a model that can be used outside the US.
How Did Did I Get Mush-Mouth
It usually doesn’t take me long to figure out whether or not I like something. I recently purchased the Wahl Detailers and the Andis Slimline Pro Li.The Detailers were only so so. I’m sure if I would’ve zero-gapped them, they would’ve improved a bit, but I figured, why even waste my time. The Slimline Pro Li’s were okay if you’re doing a hairline, but only so so if you’re lining up a beard/goatee. Basically it does just what the label/box says it does, “necklines and light touch-ups.The Wahl 5-Star Razor Edger was awesome! In fact I used it straight out the box, without adjusting/zero-gapping them. In fact, if you’re going to be lining your head or beard every day, you really don’t want “zero” gap. It will leave you with dark spots/scars from continuous lining, over time. Leave zero gap to the barbershop, where you’re only going to be getting lined once every week or longer. These came out the box very close to zero gap.The Wahl 5-Star Razor Edger give my Andis T-Outliners a good competitive run. I might need a little more time to say which one is the better of the two. But for now, I give these a 4.5 and the Andis T-Outliners a 4.67.
Just for the context of hair type - I’m a black dude, I like to keep my hair short, and I frequently give myself shape-ups.After trying the Andis T-Outliner, I was not only a little let down by the sharpness of the cut it gave (it was good but not great) but also had it completely die on me with only a years worth of use. It was time for an upgrade.I’ve spent tons of time online searching for the closest shave you can possibly get from a set of clippers and my God these are it. These include a warning that the clippers can and will cut your skin if you’re not careful, and with good reason! I am not disappointed with these trimmers whatsoever.
ok so i own the wahl detailer and the wahl edgeri purchase both on amazon, if you ask me which one to buy i will say "i dont know" they work very similar to meThey both get little bit hot, the detailer is light weight and smaller and it has a large blade,The wahl razor edger is little bigger and it has a smaller blade, the both can do the same job for youNote:wahl detailer.. i set up the wahl detailer to 0 overlap and it feels good man, it feels like if it was scratching you but you can't see itOver all it does the job nice lines and everythingNote: wahl razor edger,i set up to 0 overlap, and it feels better than the detailer same job, clean nice lines and everything, also the blade is smaller so it will help you little bit more than a large blade, but it will not sratch you as bad as the detailerI dont know which one to recmmend, so buy it and try it
Stands up to a massive clientele, darn near powerful enough to cut an entire head of hair with (over comb). Still can't do very well on facial hair of men that have stubble like tree trunks, but nothing can to be fair. Best set of edgers I've had in 12 years of barbering. WAHL never fails me. Favorite company. Andis and other companies break too easy, sometimes within weeks. Stick with Wahl for pro's!
3. Best all-purpose styler
Wahls shining star in the trimmer market, the # 8081 Detailer comes with a broadleaf and seductive body. Seriously, when it comes to model design, this is a complete winner.
I recommend this and not the Pro 8290 version with which we have experimented. Reason? The extra-wide T-leaf (about 1/4 wider.)
In addition to chrome and burgundy beauty, the Detailers are also very compact. With 5 and only 0.43 lbs, they are the most convenient lining / universal tool you will find. Talk about aesthetics and functionality!
Again, you have the advantage that you get a few accessories. Three auxiliary lines (1/16 ‘, 1/8’ and 1/4 ‘) are waiting for you, along with a brush, blade protector and clipper oil.
The big difference is the rotary engine on which the Detailer rotates.
It is not as powerful as the Outliner, but it also helps to keep the trimmer cooler. In terms of sound, it is comparable to the most popular model of Andis, in contrast to the quiet Razor Edger.
When it comes to hair details, lining, necklines, and others, this machine is a total champion. That is why it is also included in our best list of trimmers.
There is a catch: he exchanges his cooler controls and lightweight, stylish body for sharp knives. In other words, it is slightly more sensitive to irritating skin if you are not careful.
When you get the Detailer, pay attention to the pressure you exert when styling your customers. It is not as forgiving as the T-Outliner to offer the best trimmer options for hairlines.
Questions & Answers
Does this clipper come with multi voltage for use in New Zealand?
No , you need to buy a converter , that's what I did when it came to Australia.
Hello! Can you please tell me if this detailed works in Russia?
This item is intended for use in 110 -120 voltage ranges and has a standard U.S plug. It will not work in Russia.
I will be use in thailand, so thailand is 220 volts, so in my situation i need to buy adapter to reduce the power to right?
Yes you should by an adapter if you buy an American electronic, because in the U.S. It's half of that 220
does it come with the attachments
Mine came with three sizes .5, 1 and 1.5.
Bought to replace andis peanut which died on me yesterday, free same day shipping is awesome i might add. Was very skeptical about clipper quality, hoping not to receive an already used one as some here claimed they had. To my delight i received a brand new machine. Very compact, sophisticated look. Quiet when turned on and lengthy and durable power cord. Immediately adjusted the noticeably pre oiled blades to zero gap and took em for a spin. Blades are crisp cutting and a breeze to adjust! Very pleased with my purchase would recommend to anyone who is looking for a reliable top notch alternative to an andis clipper. Would buy again.
I purchase this for my boy and I for our own grooming needs, from a close-to-skin beard shaving to hair cut final touches along the edges. However, the ladies of the house found the uses for it and constantly grab the unit. Feminine hygiene tasks put the unit to the ringer. The unit comes not zero. It appears to be 1/16 offset between the comb and cutter. I semi-zero it, creating an even closer save. We ensure to clean it properly after each use, lube, and store it in a dry and cool area. Going from person to person, the comb-cutter enjoy the 10 seconds babercide bath, dried, and lube before storage. Comb-cutter is still going strong and sharp after months of usages. I'll wait to see how long the blade lasts until I need to sharpen it, using the professional sharpening system.Motor is much more quiet than the other Wahl Pro hair trimmer. After 25 minutes of usages, the casing of the motor is only luke warm, compared to my other cutters, which are much more considerably warmer, borderline hot.
Full disclosure I use this trimmer off label. As a bald man this beauty allows me to keep a good looking scalp nearly as close cut as shaving while avoid the barbershop. I have tried 3 different trimmers the Classic 76 with a 0A 1.2mm blade, the Andis T-outliner, and this model. Short answer this is the best for my purpose, long answer to follow. The Classic 76 cuts hair the best of the three, it's what a professional barber would use. If your going to fade or keep any length of hair for a flat top this is your unit. It cuts without pulling, it is precise and it has easily interchangeable blades. These run around $100 and will last for years. But for a bald man trying to keep a clean look the lowest blade 0A 1.2mm is not close enough to give the nearly shaved look I prefer,The Andis unit trimms a little closer than the Wahl but is significantly heavier and a bit unwieldy. It works well for the indented use of cleaning around the ear etc...The Wahl unit is light making it easier to use and to travel with. A couple notes to achieve good resultsit helps to cut your hair dry and often. If I wait more than 3 days before cutting I get a lot of pulling but if I keep it short I can maintain a very close cut with none of the inconvenience of shaving with a blade. If you found this review of use please provide positive feedback.

My original post was an expression of concern that the product was not new because it was not wrapped. The company contacted me... Initially, they came across rude, but I forgave them... lol...As for the product....Turns out... I just have sensitive skin... Know your body is the point. I bought them for a bald head and shaving... They were supposed to be an upgrade over my Peanuts... Well.... I am a bonehead. That is not what they are for.... They are specifically for edge ups and getting that crisp line... I did an edge up on the front of my hair and I have also shaved my beard and neck and these things are mega sharp! I mean the leaving cuts and scars.... sharp... Buuuuuut again.. I have sensitive skin so that is on me and not the product. I have decided to keep them instead of sending them back for 2 reasons... For 1, I read somewhere that the blade calms down after some uses... and 2, eventhough I am in pain for the first day or 2 after shaving, I do like the closeness that I get... here is the cool part... I do not put a razor on my face as I get bumps... these clippers give me that closeness and I get a few bumps, but not like what I would get with a razor... I also gets some cuts and skin peeling, but that is much longer story....Summary... Buy them if you need a edge up or if you are barber and want to get crisp lines.... Buy them if you do not mind some pain for a close shave. Buy them because the price is right as they were the same as if I bought some new Peanuts... And there you go....

Questions & Answers
This lasted several months, and now the on/off button doesn't work and the device tries to stay on. Everyone has this issue. Has Wahl addressed it?
I just bought it yesterday and this happened after the first time I used it. I can not turn it off unless I connect it. I was checking Amazon to see if it was a typical problem. I'll call Wahl today to see if I can get a replacement, since I'm not aware of the refunds after using it.
I need more combs for my trimmer, the number 1 trims my beard too low, while the number 2 trims it too high, is there any add' product that I can buy?
The Conair I-Stubble adjusts in increments of .2 mm, which is perfect for keeping a short beard (or the appearance of stubble): http://www.amazon.com/Conair-i-Stubble%C2%AE -Ultimate-Stubble -Control / dp / B004PXIR1W / ref = sr_1_1? S = hpc & ie = UTF8 & qid = 1413136272 & sr = 1-1 & keywords = istubble
What are the width of the trimmer combs(in mm or cm)? I'm not asking about the cutting depths but the actual width.
There are two clipping combs. One has a cutting surface of 1/4 inch (6 mm) in width, and the second has a cutting surface of 1-3 / 8 inches (3.5 cm). The actual width of both combs is slightly wider, but those are the actual cutting widths. I hope that helps.
does this work to trim a longer length full beard, or just a tight to the face or stubble trim?
I think it would work well for either of the two, as it comes with a variety of attachments and guides, but usually I do it by free hand when I cut it.
This hairdresser does everything they say he does. It fits wonderfully and constantly every time. The blades and other inserts cover all types of grooming situations, from whiskers and eyebrows to full beards. It allows me to cut different parts of my beard in different lengths, without anyone being wiser. And the thin micro-cropping heads allow you to reach small places on your face and cut off anything that is bothering you right now. And although it makes noise, it is the quietest of all the trimmers I have ever had. When I bought this one, I debated for a moment if I really had to pay more for all the metal instead of the plastic. I was especially worried when I read that there were many critics who had complained about the formation of rust on their heads. Obviously, I decided to get this metalhead and I'm glad I did. It works very well, and (almost *) has never had a problem. Now he is three years old and still runs and cuts like new; I could not say that for any of the plastic ancestors I've had. And rust is not a problem, the reason is simple: I followed Wahl's guidance and I greased the cut parts once a month with a little oil each; It takes about 75 seconds and that's all I do. It is not a sign of oxidation. * The "almost". The part of the shaver where it is recharged is also a means to prevent the hairdresser from running unnoticed when traveling, so avoid the risk of opening your suitcase and discover that your hairdresser has been left without charge. Somehow, my sensor sometimes thinks that the preparer is in travel mode, even when it is not, which of course prevents one from using it. I found a solution when moving the sensor. After doing it several times during the last months (a little frustrating), I called Wahl, who offered to send me a new hairdresser, although this is not covered by the guarantee. They are clearly behind your product.
It had the oldest model with the round cargo port that finally stopped loading. It lasted several years before I died, so I bought another one thinking that I would get another few years. When it arrived, I was surprised to see that they had updated this model with a new style charger. Instead of a round standard-looking DC connector, it has a trapezoidal plug with 2 separate plugs in the base. Assuming that I solved the problem with the load, I would say that it solved the only problem I had with my previous one. Whenever you clean the trimmer with the supplied brush and grease the blades every few uses, it will stay sharp and last a long time. long time. 5 stars.
This is by far the best electric razor I have ever had. I am the kind of person who does hours and hours of research before basically buying anything, and sometimes it takes a bit of trial and error. I bought the Andis T-Outliner for the first time since it had excellent reviews. It was a beast, but not what I was looking for. If I worked at a hairdresser, I'm sure I would have loved it. But I just want a high-quality electric razor for domestic use to keep my beard tamed. So, I returned the Andis One and got this one and I am very happy that I did it. This thing is very impressive. When you hold it for the first time in your hand, you immediately notice the high quality. It has the right weight and the stainless steel body is very elegant and resistant. It comes with tons of protective trimmers, so you are sure to trim your beard to the perfect length and fade away if necessary. He also has a hair cutter on his nose and a shaving attachment for stubble on his neck. I could not be more satisfied with this product and would recommend it to anyone.

Questions & Answers
Barbers, do these get hot quick? Like the andis outliners, they get hot fast. I hate it. Do the styliner 2s stay cool?
If you are using the for taping ...no
yo compre este producto y aun no lo e recibido y no tengo respuesta de ningun medio
You need to contact Amazon customer service to see what happened to your product.
Is this a cordless trimmer?
No! It has a cord. It is a grate clipper. I'm was I bought it.
In regards to professionals, can this trimmer do fades? I don't need guards, I just want to know if it's possible to fade on it's own, thanks.
No because there's no adjuster. You need the andis masters
I have went through a number of clippers over the past few years, using everything from beard trimmers to other well respected clippers (Oster Fast Feed was ineffective as a balding clipper and stopped working in less than a year). I had been in search of a go-to balding clipper to shave my head as close as possible and finally decided on this product after reading a number of reviews. So far I have been very impressed with the performance of this product. It gives a close, clean shave and is extremely smooth and easy to handle. It has not left any gash marks or major blemishes on my skin, and still manages to give a very close shave. One thing to keep in mind is that it is not adjustable, so it is best for lining, shaping, and shaving.
Great liners but I unfortunately dropped them and chipped the blade. I replaced the blade but they don't cut like they did initially. My suggestion is that you take good care of these liners if so they'll do a fantastic job!
I got this as secondary tool to and it's not as sharp as I like but It's good for kids hair cuts and fading out the nape area. If anything they can always be adjusted so that they cut closer. I love that it stays cool longer too. Shipment was a breeze. It came right on time
Used this regularly in high school and decided to get again after a few years and more than enough shavers. Works well with the Remington Pre-shave stick and after being zero gapped. However, it does cause irritation and is nowhere near as fast or efficient as a good shaver, such as the Braun Series 7 - 790cc Pulsonic Shaver System (which is a must buy, in my humble opinion). Good for lining up, as well.

Questions & Answers
can you use to trim beards just using the blade? I keep mine cut short
yep. I use it for head face chest and belly
I will be doing a bald fade. i am comparing these to the andis fade master. which would be best? thanks.
This blade, though adjustable, doesn't quite "zero-gap". If that answers your question.
Is there an attachment for a full crew cut? the one that is included isn't a full crew cut. may i purchase it?
I ordered a separate set of attachments from Amazon and they work great
Does anyone know of any good quality after market guide combs that fit this product?
Yes. A lot of people use the Andis magnetic guards. I don’t have those, I like the stock guards just fine. However, I haven’t used a guard since I started going bald!
I have been using a hair trimmer for years and I've been through many that did not satisfy me. I've had several Philips and also some other less known brands, but they all inevitably failed. One that I had was cordless and had the obvious issue all battery operated devices have which is that at some point the battery didn't hold the charge any more, and the hair trimmer would start slowing down, not cutting well, etc.Other non-battery hair trimmers would cut well at the beginning, but then they would start malfunctioning and pinching my hair constantly. This Oster trimmer is the first one that not only has worked well for two years, but the first one that I chose to re-buy after I lost the first one moving to a new apartment. It works well, it's powerful and it's not gonna let you down. Thumbs up!UPDATE 9/2/2016: I'm still happy with this trimmer. As another reviewer noted, it is really important to periodically unscrew it and give it a good lubrication. At some point, it was starting to not cut as good. I hadn't oiled it in almost a year, so I unscrewed it, got rid of the hairs jammed inside, gave it a quick oil (using coconut oil) and after reassembling it, it was cutting MUCH better. Just like any mechanical device, it needs to be taken care of periodically. As long as you do, this trimmer will serve you well.2nd UPDATE 8/12/2017: This hair trimmer is still going strong and I'm still very happy with it!If you found this review helpful, please consider clicking yes below.
Finally! something good enough to replace my 20+ year old conair clippers.I have purchased 2 or 3 other clippers in the past 10 years that couldn't match the quality of my old clippers. These clippers cut quietly, smoothly, and don't leave my scalp red from abrasion. They are just as heavy as my old conair, and seem built to last. They will not do a zero gap (which is not really a problem, but does mean that the blade comb & teeth will not wear evenly)These clippers have 2 fade positions (not as many as my conair, but sufficient). The plastic clips fit snugly, but the teeth on the attachable combs do not align with the blade teeth (lazy design engineering). These clippers do not come with a box or bag.I am very satisfied with the purchase. It is rare to find quality when everything is made to be disposable.
The $20 Wal-Mart Red and Black Andis clippers didn't even last a year before they started getting painfully loud and snagging my hair. These oster fast feeds are far superior and shave like butter. Quiet operation and it has a thick power cord now that is Quality. I bought the white ceramic blade upgrade but haven't installed it yet. The standard setup didn't heat up on me at all. I guess the blade upgrade is recommended for commercial use.
Since I don't style my hair and cut it short anyway, I decided to learn to cut my own hair instead of going to a barber, overpaying, and rolling the dice on if it even looks decent. I've been using these every couple weeks to look fresh and haven't had any issues with the actual clipper in my year and a half using it. That said, I recommend buying additional guides that will be less flimsy- I bought the "Oster Professional 76926-800 Guide Combs" from Amazon and they've been pretty good.My only problem was a time I was going back and forth in the back and my guide popped off- leaving a very clear void of hair along my neckline that necessitated triage. Pro tip- only push forward, not back. Also these are not great for beard trimming and I'd recommend a dedicated device for that task.

Questions & Answers
Are they good clippers for bald heads
They approach almost as much as a razor without the hassle. I had a pair for about five years and I replaced them with them because I like them a lot. But as others have said, they will cut you off if you enter the wrong angle and apply a lot of pressure.
So where do I get gaurds/guides for this clipper?
Daniel you can buy them at amazon.com. I have never used them personally. I bought the baldness clippers because I wanted to finish what nature had already started. Can someone here feel a turn?
All, I am about to buy my 3rd one of these. I like having one as a back up as it seems after a year of using it, the little part that moves the blade back and forth wears out. Have others had that or had the problem of the blade eventually going to crooked to go straight?
Scott, I bought this in April of this year and to this day I have no complaints.
how long is the cord on this?
It is about 8feet long.
I still have a full head of hair, but I like to shave my head and I've been shaving my head intermittently for 15 years, and this cutter is perfect for the look I want: what it is to shave my head as short as possible. as possible, while you still leave a stubble very, very, very light that you can still distinguish my line of hair. And this cutter does it because it comes with Wahl's shortest blade, which is a 6x0 blade that cuts to .2mm. In addition, the guide combs make it very easy to make several types of fades, if you choose. And the V5000 engine that comes with this clipper is powerful and gives you a NICE, SOFT and VERY ISOLATED, WITHOUT SPEAKING THE SIZE IN ANY WAY. For those people who complain about cutting their scalp with this clipper, I think: 1) they are holding the clipper incorrectly, 2) they are using the wrong angle, 3) their blades are not aligned correctly, or 4) a combination of a or more of those things. Also, for those people who give this clipper a bad review because they do not shave their heads like Mr. Clean, use a razor blade, not a clipper. Because no matter which cutter or trimmer you buy, you will NEVER shave your head like a razor blade because you have to have a lower blade and an upper cutting blade, and no matter how thin someone can make the lower blade, it will ALWAYS be between your scalp and the upper cutting blade. Basically, you are giving this clipper a bad review because you expect this clipper to do something it is not designed for. That would be like buying a supercharged Hemi V8 and then complaining about fuel consumption. Anyway, the cutter feels strong and well made although it is made of plastic. And it fits comfortably in both my hands and the power cord is much thicker and longer (8 feet) than my other buzzers, which is good. And I was a little worried about warming up the cutter with its strongest motor, but it stayed cool during my 35 to 40 minute shave. I will HIGHLY RECOMMEND this clipper for those people who do not look for a Mr. Clean look but a very, very short shaved head. For all others, USE A SHEET OF RAZOR.P.S. I added a couple of images in the client's image section after using the 5-star series baldness cutter to give people an idea of how short this cutter cuts. I hope that helps.
Very good job I will not use a razor again. No cuts or wounds or drama. It exceeded my expectations. However, I was disappointed that it did not come with a case. I'll use the one that came with my $ 20 clippers.
I'm glad I ignored the negative reviews, this product was just what I was looking for. I shaved my head without a guard and felt it cut my hair shorter than other scissors I had used in the past. I have been shaving my head without guard for about 10 years and I was worried about the purchase because some of the pictures that people posted with their heads were cut off. I tried it on the upper part of the thigh before using it on the head and it had no scratches, so I did it with my head. High quality clippers and I would definitely recommend or buy again. I'm not sure what the people who scratched there were doing, but I have not had any problems. Great product, good price and mowers are paid only after a few haircuts. If you're looking to comb your hair, these are not for you, but if you're just trying to get attention, definitely buy.
This is my 4th set of clippers from this company. I am extremely satisfied with the 3 previous machines purchased from Wahl. I've been cutting my hair for the last 7 years, just going to a barber on special occasions. On my last visit, I asked my hairdresser for recommendations about a bald shaver and he recommended this unit to me. I saw the criticism and at first I was a bit skeptical. But after one more review, I decided to follow my dribble tip. Needless to say, I am extremely satisfied with Walh's 5-star professional. In seven years I have never been able to cut my hair so short with mowers. Cut to the ecuante of 24-36 hours a head rapada of raver. I had no nics or scratches like other critics.

Questions & Answers
Is this good for removing beards
All I use on mine. Works great.
description says cordless but the pic shows a cord? what is it
It has a cord. A good length and sturdy. I prefer the cord because it has consistent power- if makes any sense. It's a work horse!
does this one work also on 220w? or only 110w?
Only 110, I'm afraid.
Has anyone used this on kids?
yes you can use on kids. you don't have as many attachments as you would on a normal size clipper but if the attachments are what you're looking for as far as length absolutely. do not let the small size fool you is a very powerful unit. I know of several stylist who use it for trimming and for haircuts
I am a victim of too much testosterone being administered into my system while in utero, thus I suffer from male pattern baldness. I have grown tired of shaving my head. I takes a long time, and I am tired of buying razor cartridges. This trimmer is great for people like me who want what hair you have left as short as possible, without resorting to shaving. It provides a length that is about a days growth, if you were to have actually shaved with a razor. On average, I use it twice a week to ensure that I do not look fifteen years older than I am, (currently 30). If you are looking for a trimmer to do this very thing, I would recommend this trimmer 100%. Eventually, when the blades dull, I will be able to easily and quickly switch them out, unlike many other trimmers. Do yourself a favor and purchase this trimmer.
These work perfectly for cutting my own Pixie at home. Here's how I do it.Lift up the whole crown area, securing it in a rubber band to get it out of the way.Use the largest Peanut cutting comb in downward strokes for a scruffier looking nape.(Or cut upwards for a close-shave look.)Take out your crown's rubber band.Cut crown area about 4" long with a scissor holding the hair straight up like it's got static electricity.I did this perfectly the first time I used the Peanut. Four weeks later, feeling invincible, I grabbed the shaver, plugged it in, and FORGOT TO PUT THE COMB TIP ON. Yep. I cut a massive bald spot clear down the back of my head.Whoo Hoo! I'd never laughed so hard in my life. Please don't sue me if this happens to you.
It’s working great and really giving you good finishing to cut hairs the way you want. The reason to give it 4 star is that the area where we attached the clipper is so delegate. Everything got disturbed while I was removing its clipper. It took me some time to understand how to fix but you have to extra careful while dealing with changing clipper. Otherwise it’s small and nice product to try.
I bought this in September 2012. It's now January 2018 and it works just as it was when I first bought it. Fantastic product.

Questions & Answers
which is better this one Elite or Andis Envy, I dont know waht clipper to buy. this can be used as a professional clipper?
We just buy Wahl Elite and love it!
can I use the wahl elite pro for beard trimming and cutting ?
Yes, for sure. This clipper makes my beard trimmer look like a toy. It has ten snap on combs that allow for a bunch of different lengths. I would highly recommend it for use as a beard trimmer.
Is this waterproof?
It's not water proof .
Am I able to use this too for dog grooming shears nor do I need one made for dogs?
You can use this clipper on your dog, but I would not share it with your dog. Make sure you have a separate clipper for each of you.
After nearly a decade of replacing cheaper clipper sets every 2-3 years I finally decided to purchase a more expensive set. I'm glad I did! Even if they only last as long as cheaper ones, there's a handful of things I'm happy to pay the higher price for.If it matters, I cut my own hair, and have for as long as I can remember, so my feedback is from that context. I don't cut anyone else's hair, and I tend to cut more frequently (every 5-6 days) so that I only need minor touch-ups vs. having to commit to an entire cut. Here's what I like about these vs. cheaper sets I've used in the past:1. Better/stronger motor. Part of why I replaced cheaper sets so often is b/c they'd eventually start pulling my hair, regardless of proper blade oiling and sharpening. I immediately felt a difference in how much smoother these cut, especially during faster movements.2. Stronger, smoother closed & open guard adjustment - feels far more assured than what I'm used to on cheaper sets. No matter how small or large the adjustment, the gaurd stays in place once adjusted.3. Guard combs that stay in place, finally! On cheaper Wahl clippers I always had to worry about guard combs coming off b/c that happened every so often. The guard combs in this set snap on much firmer and have stayed in place extremely well.4. 1/2 and 1 & 1/2 guards are included. These allow more flexibility and safety when blending fades. In my case, I'm spending much less time going back and forth between the 0, 1, and 2 gaurds - the half guards hit the mid points much better and faster.5. Heavier feel. I value this b/c I have large hands. The heavier feel of these provides better guidance, especially during faster movements.I've only used these a handful of times so far but remain very impressed. Definitely recommended.
Bought this at a store in person. First, out of all the brands at varying prices that ive owned, id say by far that i personally think Wahl is the best.As for this elite pro model in particular, i am very impressed. Its motor seems much stronger than other models, it cuts through my hair with little effort and no snagging. Other clippers ive had would snag my hair or my hair would pass through without being cut (i have straight thin hair).I do like the metal tab at the back of the attachments since it seems to hold onto the clipper better than the plain plastic style, but i do not like that it does NOT include tapered ear attachments as ive used those with previous models to help give the area around my ears a cleaner look. From experience in owning a few of these just a tip, do not ever use any oil to lubricate the blades other than oil made specifically for hair clippers. Also, do not apply the oil directly from the bottle to the blades. The oil bottle comes sealed in a little bag with a small black brush, put just one or two drops of oil onto that brush and then brush the oil onto the blades with the clipper OFF, youre looking for just a very light coating. Then turn on the clipper and let it run for a few seconds with no attachments on it to help the oil lubricate the blades more evenly.2-9-19 update:Still going strong! How many things have you bought lately that have lasted more than a few years?
After watching so many youtube videos on how to cut a toddler's hair, I finally decided to buy this clipper and I love it! Very easy to use and such a good quality for the price I paid. I was scared to use it the first time of course. I was worried that I might hurt my son, but it was very safe and I got used to it right away. My son's hair turned out great. No more bowl cuts and no more overpriced hair stylist.
Just received this today, and my review will echo a lot of previous reviews, both good, and unfortunately bad.I was impressed with how sturdy all of the attachments felt, and equally impressed with the solid feel of the unit itself. It was used for a quick trim, and did cut through the hair with ease.On this front, I was quite pleased. My only complaint and -1 star is due to the fact that I, like others, had a damaged attachment right out of the bag, of course being the much needed "1/2" piece. As seen in the photos, one "tooth" was bent right out of the bag it came in, and I'm not sure if it's evident in the picture, but it is BARELY hanging on. Have others had good success in getting this piece replaced?Other than that, so far I'm impressed with the product.

Does this clipper have an adjustable power screw?
Was a gift for somebody, I'm sure has power screw

This Set comes with 1 inch being the longest then 7/8" , 3/4" 5/8", 1/2", 3/8", 1/4" and 1/8" and it comes with left and right ear guides. Im not sure if you can order more.
What is the cord length?
Yeah its long enough, its more than 80 inches , 7 feet long. Should buy it its very good product. I cut my hair every week and work very well for that price, and it comes with a lot of clips for the machine, so it worth the price. Ps sorry about my english, not very good at it.... Hope i helped you, need something some to know just write back..
Wahl makes very good clippers. This set comes with everything you need to give yourself, or someone else, a great haircut. Just decide how short you want your hair, and pick the matching comb. The different size combs makes it easy to fade the sides into a longer top length. If you are doing a buzz cut, it will give you a great cut in a few minutes. It cuts hair very fast, and does not pull at all. This clipper will pay for itself with only 2 hair cuts. Just keep the blades oiled, and it will last you for years to come. Watch a few video clips on YouTube, and you will see how easy it is to give yourself a nice looking haircut. I'm looking forward to saving a bunch of money over the years with this clipper set.
I'm not quite sure why this product has low reviews! In fact, reading them, I was hesitant to purchase it. The color coded guards really sold me. So, I bought it. And I'm glad I did. The noise level is very tolerable. The instructions are very thorough. I DID WATCH A COUPLE YOUTUBE VIDEOS BEFOREHAND. That's a must. Otherwise, you're going to mess up. Once I had watched the videos and printed out a piC. of what my son wanted his hair to look like, I was ready. It took about 5 minutes to familiarize myself with all the different guards, blade oil (OIL YOUR BLADES PRIOR TO USE FOLLOWING THE INSTRUCTIONS) . GO LONG. YOU CAN ALWAYS CUT SHORTER IF NEEDED. The kit includes several guards all color coordinated, 3 fine toothed combs, hair clips, hair cutting scissors and an apron for your client. I have to admit, it did take me awhile to do his first haircut, I was extra cautious and perhaps took more time than needed. I did the back and sides first. I made a part on each side of his head and clipped the hair back. I used that part to know when to stop shaving.. I then cut and styled his hair on the top (again by watching a YOUTUBE video) then I went back and used the right and left ear guard to cut around the ears, lined his neck up and lined his sideburns up. DONE! I thought it looked cute and most importantly HE liked it!! I would recommend anyone to use these as they are very durable, come with a small bottle of blade oil (I bought some anyways) and are perfect for cutting hair at home so as to avoid the exuberant price of haircuts these days. This is a very good product!! Two thumbs up!
Our 13 yr old asked for a pair of clippers for Christmas because he wanted to learn how to cut hair and make some extra money when he goes off to college in a few years. He has been watching videos on YouTube and getting tips from my husband who began cutting his own hair at 15 and also from my husbands barber. This little set is perfect for him. I wear a cut that is tapered in the back and on the sides and he practices on me each week. Its a win for us both. He also trims his brother and from time to time his dad will let him work on him as well. The color coded guards are perfect. No complaints, it a great product. The cuts are perfect, painless and very precise. Great starter product!
The best edgers for barbers Tips
Customers develop a relationship of trust with their hairdresser.
A good haircut can give them a head start in every situation, from meeting someone special to recording a job interview.
You need tools to achieve the hottest new styles. Word of mouth is the best way to attract new customers, so if a customer is satisfied, they can improve your brand.
The Best Edgers For Barbers helps you build a customer base and develop a good reputation.
Investing in the best edger and knowing how to use it is a necessity for everyone, for every hairdresser.
Before you purchase the best edgers for barbers, there are some factors that you should consider.
- The price: this is a factor in almost every product. You want to choose a product based on the size of your budget. The overview timers shown here vary considerably in price, depending on the number of functions and versatility. Therefore, regardless of what you choose, make sure it fits your budget.
- Corded/Cordless: it is a very important factor to consider whether a wire trimmer is wired or wireless. If you have an outlet and buy a trimmer, maybe use it in the bathroom or at home, having a bearded beard will not hurt you. However, if you buy a beard to use it outdoors, especially where there is no outlet, you should concentrate on a wireless trimmer as this is more convenient.
- Comb settings: Overview timers have a wide range of comb settings, and this is very important if you are not affected. Comb settings determine how long or how short your beard will be; so they must be viewed properly. For example, if you are this person who likes a stubble look, the trimmer you buy should have length settings that are small enough to help you achieve that specific look. On the contrary, if you are looking for a long, thick beard, the trimmer you buy must help achieve this look. Some of the aforementioned summary timers have removable heads to help you get the much-needed stubble.
- Maintenance: it is a fact that nobody wants a trimmer that is difficult to maintain. It is annoying when you buy a trimmer, but a few days later it begins to depreciate and even to hook and pull it. Therefore, you should look extensively at the cleaning and maintenance functions to avoid future regrets. Fortunately, most of the aforementioned trimmers are easy to maintain.
- Styling features: If you want to keep a beard in traditional style and you are not interested in shaving funky, unique patterns in it, a trimmer that you choose should not have attachments that appear in different sizes and shapes. However, if you are interested in keeping a certain type of beards, such as a goatee or a prickly, you must have attachments or functions with a clipper to achieve and maintain your desired style.
Now you know exactly what to look for when buying a contour trimmer.
View them well, and you will not get lost as far as it comes to getting a desired, best performing and efficient pruning shear.
It is always important to do thorough research before working on a product. This increases your chances of taking a better quality product home.
