Plant Therapy Oregano Essential Oil (INCI Ingredients: Origanum vulgare oil)
this potent essential oil works wonders in helping strengthen and fortify your skin problems. However, due to its potency, it should be used with caution. Dilute with no more than 1% carrier oil and always apply a test patch to ensure there is no skin irritation. It has an intense green, slightly medicinal herbaceous scent. Diffuse with gentler oils such as lavender, orange or rosalina to balance it out.

the % carvacrol varies by bottle, but can be found in the GC/MS test reports by the batch/lot code of each bottle.

goes well with: Cajeput, Chamomile Roman, Citronella, Dill Weed, Eucalyptus Lemon, Egyptian Geranium, Sweet Marjoram, Niaouli 1, 8-Cineole, Pine Scots, Rosemary 1, 8-Cineole and Thyme Thymol.

If you suffer from a nasty cold, then Oregano is a great essential oil to add to your arsenal. It can help strengthen your respiratory and immune system, help clear mucus and aid in faster recovery. Apply topically to help with skin problems such as rashes and nail fungus. Make your own homemade household cleaner with oregano oil to kill germs and disinfect surfaces naturally.

is it better to dilute it yourself or buy it diluted ?

I think if you can thin it out properly, you'll be fine. It's a very, very strong oil, so it definitely needs the right proportion of carrier oil. Plant therapy has a dilution table here: http://essentialoilblogging.files.wordpress.com/2013/12/plant-therapy-dilution-guide.jpg

Has anyone used this to remove a common wart? Is it necessary to dilute and if so, with what and what ratio? Thx

Common warts are only removed by cautry (electrical or chemical), so you should see a doctor for this problem. Yes, you need to dilute this with water, but I don't know the exact ratio, it just needs to be a small drop of oil in a large amount of water (it's very concentrated. I used it like it's without dilution, it burned my neck skin and let them go thank god they healed without scars after this burn :)

I made 5% olive oil solution based on the link provided here, no burn under the tongue, added 10drops more and still no burn, am i doing it wrong?

Kasia, I suspect there is something wrong with your oregano oil. Try dropping 1 on your tongue, if there is NO COMBUSTION there is your answer. Good luck.

Would this help heal a blister on a toe?

Oregano is antiviral and antibacterial. Better treatment of a blister: lavender, chamomile, geranium all of the above or even just one.

is this 100 oregano oil from the oregano vulgare plant ?? cause i like to use this product to get rid of my herpes virus which is bothering my life

I'm not sure but had to answer anyway, this is the most powerful oregano oil I've ever used!! Got it for some infections in my teeth (yuck I know), and a drop on a qtip, I rubbed it on the tooth, and no problems since. (That was over a week ago). Now it's super strong, it can keep anything numb for days. I'd dilute it, in case it burns your skin or something. LOL. But in my opinion, this is much better than anything I've bought at a health food store, and a fraction of the price.

Can oregano oil be used directly on the feet to get rid of extreme flaky skin I feel is maybe a fungus also from nails?

Oregano oil is good for many things. When using topically all over your body, always use a carrier oil. It is a "hot" oil. Even with a carrier, if not properly diluted, it can burn. If it burns, do not wash with water. Use a carrier oil to take the "heat" off. I love oregano oil for many uses.

Does this bottle contain a dropper?

My bottle has no dropper.

Can you put this oil in a mister? That way it is in the air and you breath it in

Hi Lee Thanks for asking. Oregano is a very strong oil. I cannot guarantee that the oil will be compatible, and will not harm your sir, with any devices other than a diffuser.

Does oregano oil take off skin tags

As this is a very hot and potentially irritating oil, we recommend a dilution of no more than 1%. This may not be the best choice for skin tags, and you may want to try one of our other products such as "No More Warts"...thanks!

is it food grade?

Hi Mark Thanks for asking. No, the oregano is not food grade. I hope this helps!
