Are you looking for the best beard balms for your money?
The search for slim, perfectly formed, ‘ready’ facial hair has become a serious problem in recent years. If you have a beard nowadays, chances are you have as many (or even more) products to keep it at the right time than for any other part of your body. There is the beard trimmer, beard comb, and beard oil, not to mention the scissors needed to combat tricked hairs. And also very good.
But there’s another product you need, especially if your beard is a bit longer than Stubble. Beard balms are cream-like conditioning products that ensure that your facial hair not only looks good but also nourishes the sideburns and skin underneath.
If you think your beard (and skin underneath) is very dry or difficult to comb in a neat order, then is the best beard balms a Good option, said Phil Reader, captains hairdresser at Drakes of London. Every day I see how balms can improve the appearance of a beard by conditioning the skin and the hair and giving it a healthy shine. Not to mention the ban on the dreaded bar-tail.

Questions & Answers
What's the difference between the Wax and the Balm? When/why use one over the other?
The balm is more to condition your hair with minimal control for combing. The wax is thicker than the balsam and is ideal for combing and controlling loose hairs.
how do i apply this product, and how long does it take to work.
There are some great tutorials on youtube (easier to watch than for me to explain.) I suggest watching "The Beard Baron" - this dude knows what he is talking about. I noticed a difference in my beard texture in about a week.....but honestly, that stuff felt great from the start. I still use it every night before bed (after shower - make sure beard dry) and a little bit of oil in the AM before work (I have cedar scented oil made by Mountaineer Brand).
Is this product actually made by Amish people?
No it's not actually made by Amish people... Amish people aren't allowed to use the internet
whats are the ingredients?
Virgin Argan, Golden Jojoba, Virgin Avocado, Sweet Almond, Virgin Pumpkin Seed, and Apricot Oils(Infused with 15 botanicals additives) plus Shea, Aloe, Cocoa, and Kokum butters and then the Essential Oils of Cedarwood, Clove, Anise, Grapefruit, Cinnamon, Lavender, and Peppermint.
This beard balm will make your beard feel healthy, happy and full. The product smells great and moisturizes beyond what is believed; Your beard will be softer than ever. Watch the video for a quick review.
I left a rather negative review that was previously 1 star due to the "smell of liquor and fat" that made me feel the beard. However, after using this balm for a couple of days, I quickly realize that it is actually quite good. I'm still not the biggest fan of smell ... For me, it smells a lot of black liquorice and I hate black liquor. But whatever. The point is, is that I can say that it is feeding the hair follicles in my beard. I took a little smear, rubbed it between my hands and then sent it to the skin under my beard. It feels so good and makes my beard feel good and soft all day. In fact, I really like these things. Now I give it 5 stars and I will buy it again in the future.

Easy to use. It keeps my beard manageable and highlights a deeper color.
I have used the oil and balm of the Amish beard of Honest for the last 5 months and I have nothing but praise to give. Every day I congratulate myself on the maintenance of my beard. Every time I give them full credit. I will continue using it daily and I will appreciate the non-overwhelming natural scents found in this product and they are not too powerful unlike other brands.
2-Seven Potions Beard Balm
Seriously, what’s nice about a bearded balm that smells delicious and consists of natural and organic ingredients? Not much, to be honest, and that’s why we included Seven Potions Beard Balm in our discussions.
Not that smell is the most important factor when evaluating beard balms, but it does not hurt to realize how a product smells when you plan to use it in a consistent way. The fragrance of The Seven Potions described as woodland comes from a combination of cedar and sandalwood. It is a soft smell and not overwhelming, but not so soft that you do not notice it.
But the smell is only a part of the general equation that contributes to the appreciation of this balm. The hardness is somewhere between medium and firm and easy to work with. It provides excellent grip while softening your beard and helps to rid it of dandruff, itching and split ends.
Seven Potions Beard Balm also makes your skin hydrated thanks to vegan-friendly glycerin, while you love the control it gives. People will notice how well-defined and healthy-looking your beard looks like compared to others.
Another plus is that Seven Potions comes in a 2-ounce package that is larger than with other brands. You only have to use it a little bit per use and a single container lasts a long time.
Again, this is a completely natural and organic balm that contains no chemicals, parabens, preservatives, artificial fragrances or dyes. It is cruelty-free and vegan-friendly.
I have tried some balms and with some of them I am quite satisfied and some were disappointing. I decided to give him a fall and he did not disappoint me. In fact, it is one of the best balms for the beard I have tried so far. It does not give as much control as other balms, but that's what beard wax is for. However, your beard will soften when you put your hands on it. The size of the can is decent and it looks like it will last for a while. Two thumbs up!
This is very good compared to others I have tried. I do not use it very fast and it has been in a can for quite some time and it has not deteriorated or changed the consistency for many months. Very subtle smell, which has been a big problem for me with other products that I apply to my mustache. I only have enough grip to keep my mustache and the area of the strange soul patch, very easy to apply.
So I have to say that I am very happy with the beard balm. It has a slight smell of woods, nothing but power. It seems to have a decent beard retention, and as long as you do not use the product in excess, do not leave your beard very greasy or anything. My beard feels a little softer with this product and less itching. I'm fairly new to the world of beard, but I would say that from what I've used so far, these things are up to the quality.
I bought this more than 10 months ago and I still have a lot, despite using it almost daily and giving a good part to a friend to use it. Only a thumbnail image after each shower covers my entire beard (and quite long if I say so) and keeps it nice and smooth. It is also very calming for the skin and prevents me from having a dry and itchy beard. It does not do much to stylize my beard, as it is very wild and difficult to mold, but it works great to keep it hydrated and soft. 10/10, you will not be wrong if you are looking for something to keep your beard healthy.
3-Liberty GroomingBeard Balm
Continue in the list and see Liberty Grooming’s best beard balms. This top quality balm came second with only a small margin, which means that it is almost as good.
If you not only aim to style your beard but also to improve its quality, you will definitely love this balm. It will not only make your beard stronger and softer; it also causes problems with your facial skin.
Like the above from Honest Amish, this balm also uses only natural ingredients that are skin-friendly. And they are also good for the health of your facial hair in the long term. The beard is specially made by hand in the USA, so people are especially fond of this balm.
The gentle yet masculine scent that makes this balm fall on your beard makes you great all day long. This natural fragrance will also make you feel closer to nature. The balm contains a mix of shea butter, beeswax and essential oils that help you style your beard in addition to humidification.
I am going to start by saying that I am NOT one of the people who received this product in exchange for a review. I purchased them at full price here on Amazon by my own accord. I wanted to try them, but was a little nervous because there was a lack of regular reviews. So you can count this as one of them.I just finished my first bottle, and have received my second. Customer service on this product has been lovely. They sent me an email thanking me for the purchase and offering me a 20% off coupon code if I decided that I wanted to purchase again. Very friendly, letting me know that if I have any questions or concrns that I can contact them any time. Before switching to these vitamins, I was using Rainbow Light Prenatal One, so I will be directly comparing the two. Some of the first differences that I noticed were smell, size, and taste. Rainbow Light Prenatal One has an awful smell. The intranaturals are definitely not smell free, but they don't seem nearly as off putting. They are slightly smaller than the Rainbow Light too, but only minutely. If you have a problem taking large pills, they probably still aren't for you. Taste wise I enjoy them much more. The intranaturals have more of a coating on them, and I haven't noticed a foul taste or aftertaste when taking them with water. I've taken them both on an empty stomach and with food, and they don't seem to bother me either way.Another thing I have noticed is that with the Rainbow Light Prenatal One my urine was always bright neon yellow. I've read and been told that this was the result of having too many vitamins. It doesn't happen with the intranaturals though, even though they have an equal to greater amount of certain things and less of others. The balance seems just right for my body.I haven't noticed any benefits from the "probiotic blend", and have been taking an additional probiotic and extra fiber on the side to ease common but uncomfortable pregnancy problems like constipation.I like that they are GMO free, soy free, and made in the USA.I definitely plan to keep using them for now, and will update if anything changes. So far I think that they are a great vitamin, for a great price, and would definitely recommend.Pictures included. 🙂
5 stars for sure. I did extensive research before I bought anything. I will say that this product is an amazing value for the amount and variety of supplement you provide in each capsule. Many other products I looked at, they suggest two or even three tab/caps per day. I love that this is one per day. Great value after much comparison and extensive reading of reviews. I did not receive any discount or get my bottle for free. I like to say that because often you read an entire review and then you see that they were testing the product or whatever. I'm not. I just did my homework as I do with all my Amazon purchases. It has been 24 days I have been taking this supplement at the advice of my primary care physician. Long story short... my husband of 27 wonderful years passed away 13 mos ago. Suddenly of a massive coronary, right in our livingroom, right in front of me. He was 51. I'm 48. Needless to say I was and am traumatized. So I could not eat and lost 62 lbs so far. I also lost half of whst used to be a beautiful lucious head of hair. Not only did half my hair fall out, but my nails all broke off ... then stopped growing altogether for over a year. My skin has gotten darker and very thin. All my nights of crying have given me huge bags under my eyes and horrible wrinkles to go with the bags. My dr. Says it's the worst case of grief inflicted malnutrition he has ever seen. So he told me to get a good quality prenatal vitamin. Obviously not for procreation purposes. So far my nails are growing, they break easily because they are still thin, but at least they started growing again!! I also have gotten the shine back in my hair. I think it is too early to access growth or thickness but I am thrilled to see my hair shine again when I put it in a ponytail especially. My skin feels better, my few problem spots are gone and I am using other products for the bags and wrinkles. But I believe that I am turning a corner. I like that these are once a day. I will try to update my review at the 90 day mark when the bottle is finished. But as of right now, I am very pleased. I even feel like I have more energy even though I'm not eating any better. Hope this helps someone out there. And if you know someone who has lost a spouse, take a moment to see how they are REALLY doing... if they say " fine " just give then a hug and a shoulder to cry on.
I really have enjoyed taking these prenatals. I was originally taking a different kind but they were making me sick. I asked people what they suggested and was told to try gummy prenatals but found that they don't have the iron that is needed during pregnancy so I went looking for a different kind reading through hundreds of reviews. I came upon these and many people said they don't make them sick and I liked the idea of all the extra things in them. They haven't made me sick once even taking them on an empty stomache I believe its due to the extra plant extracts in them including ginger. Iron and pregnancy in general has a dendency to make people constipated but with the probiotics and digestive enzymes in them these helped with that problem also. So anyone looking for a great prenatal with everything you need and want in them I really suggest these.
4- Smooth Viking Beard Balm With Shea Butter & Argan Oil
Why you ask, is my beard out of control?
You have tried clippers. You tried a comb.
But have you tried Smooth Viking Beard Balm?
If you do not, we recommend doing that – Smooth Viking’s go-to balm is designed to keep your beard manageable no matter how long it grows. It offers the right hydration and strength for every hair bag from the root to the tip.
Smooth Viking Beard Beard Balm also contains oils such as pumpkin seeds, argan, and avocado, making your beard look and feel thicker. And we know how important the right oils are for beard growth.
And although your beard looks more robust, it feels soft and well-conditioned. Smooth Biking Balm from Smooth Viking stimulates hair growth and strives for the kind of thicker beard that others will admire.
What else do we like?
Firstly, it’s user-friendly and leaves little mess. Just rub a small part of the balm between your fingers and spread it evenly through your beard. All you have to do is let it dry. Trust us, styling is made easier with this beard balm.
Oh, and it’s light enough so you can use it on your mustache.
I was a bit skeptical about buying beard balm and what brand to buy. My beard was becoming wild and ungovernable and I really needed something to calm her down, since the girlfriend said "the beard or me". Hell, I'm not going to shave my beard, so we got engaged and decided to go with a beard balm. I read about different types, but this one caught my attention and I said, what the hell. I tried it the same day after receiving it and followed the instructions on the back. Use the back of your thumb and rub it with your fingers until it dissolves a little, then rub it on the facial hair. He immediately calmed down and settled down. I was able to comb it and shape it without any problem. I would say it lasted practically all day, from 6 a.m. at 2 p.m., and people really noticed a difference. I really recommend this product to those men who want to tame the mane and look good at the same time. By the way, I did not smell a strong smell, maybe a little something, but I could not say what, it disappears in seconds, so you'll be fine.
New in this brand, but after a week of using this, the conditioner and the oil ... I love it. I start with my beard soap first, dry well, then oil. Once I'm ready for a bit, I add the balm and head to work. When I get home, I repeat the steps and then use the conditioner instead of the balm.
I got this for my husband ... he has about 2 years of rough beard, and although he discovered that drying his whispers he could still use some domestication. This balm (along with the oil) smells delicious (score for me!) Keep your beard soft and smooth! He has tried other balms, but this is by far the favorite. But, you'll be setting up ships in battle (or at least it will look like you could) in a moment!
Some things: 1) I have been using the Prof Fuzzworthy product for a while. It was oily, but it was well conditioned, but had very little adhesion. I wanted something to tame my male ungovernability in the face and the criticism took me here. I am pleased to say that this is exactly what I wanted. 2) I have the perfumeless, and I must say that if you want without perfume, it is perfect. Next time, though I'll probably get one of the others. I expected some smell, but there was none. 3) It is a much harder and sticky paste, similar to other beard balms, which is where it sticks. A little goes a long way. I use half of this than the other things and I get approximately 8 times the retention. Also, Joseph at Smooth Viking contacted me via email and wanted to make sure the product worked. I replied that he was and that he was very happy and offered me an additional free can! So, congratulations to the people of Smooth Viking as they seem really interested in building a loyal customer base. Absolutely buy this beard balm. If you have unmanageability, MANLY facial hair can not be contained, this will help you look your best.

Why We Like It
- The stronghold that lasts all day
- Leaves away from beard itching and beard anger
- Does not make your beard bold
- All natural and organic ingredients with a pleasant scent
Been using for a couple days now, and already have seen the dry beadruff gone. Still occasional beard itch, but that seems to be going away as well. Hard to tell if seeing a thickness increase yet. My main worry was dealing with how dry my skin would always get under the beard, and how unattractive having dry skin in/falling out at times was. It would be pretty bad after a couple of days and would be ridiculously dry. Solving that issue alone was worth it for me. Glad i ordered two of these tins to get the free non prime shipping and would see myself reordering whenever those run out.
I am a big fan of Beardoholic products. I purchased their beard oil and I loved it, so I decided to try their beard butter/conditioner. This stuff works great! Leaves my beard soft and manageable. I hate having my beard hair going all over the place and this product tames it big time. A little bit goes a long way. Buy it!
I was surprised how well it worked and the faint smell was very pleasant. I have had a full beard most of my life since I was 15 so at least 40 years or more and never used anything and am so sorry I found it this late in life (I am 70). All you young bearded guys should try it as it makes your beard look and feel great. I ordered another one only a week after I got the first one.
This beard balm is top notch! When I wake or pop out of the shower I massage a nickle sized amount into my beard from tips to root and all day I feel itch free and my beard feels soft and managed! Smells great too! A necessity as I grow out an epic beard. I'll be reordering from you guys soon... Beardaholics products are legit!

I have had a full beard since I was a young man. Now I am 55 years old, and I have seen it turn gray with the passing years. In the past, I simply washed and conditioned it as if it were the hair on my head, but I always had problems with dry skin and peeling. A couple of years ago I started using a variety of different products that I found here on Amazon. When I discovered this, I realized that I had found the one that satisfied all my needs. Keep my big beard soft, clean and tidy, I'm addicted to the smell and even use a little on my lips to prevent them from cracking. It is the only beard product that I buy regularly now.
I bought this because of the reviews and, to be honest, I am skeptical about product reviews in general. My beard suffered because of the extreme humidity and heat and weather changes here in Florida. I tried the honest wax of the Amish brand and it was kind of weird. I like this brand because it comes in the form of wax (thicker but similar to lip balm) and easily applied to the hair of my face. Be sure to get a boar bristle brush to evenly distribute the oil. I have been using this for about 2 weeks and I can say that my beard is 60-70% healthier and I hope it becomes even smoother. The beard balm made my beard very manageable and I will buy it again.
This is an interesting balm. I've only tried one other which was made by some guys who still run a horse and buggy. And while I like that one, it seemed to have zero hold but it conditioned like no other. This balm is definitely more dense, but once you get some and warm it up in the palm of your hand it applies easily. Once I comb it in it seems to hold well throughout the day without having a "crunchy" feeling like a hairspray would. This does a nice job of conditioning my beard, it leaves the beard pretty soft. I can smell it when first applied, but the smell dissipates quickly and I can't smell it after 10 or 15 minutes. We've recently had a few windy days, and I can feel my beard acting like a weather vane...but when I get home it seems to be more or less looking neat and tidy. I'd say that a sign of a good balm!
I love this stuff It is my absolute favorite beard balm, love the scent, love the hold it has and the consistency of the product, it is actually a balm unlike honest amish which is more of a beard paste, or some of the other brands that claim to have beard balm but you need to dig it out with the back of you fingernail its so hard, if you look at any balm they all have the consistency of beard balm like lip balm so I think brands should be more specific about their product I mean call it what it is. And I'm not saying honest amish is bad cause I also use that that's my 2nd go to, but I like honest amish heavy duty better than their regular its actually a balm.....Update I no longer will buy from rhwm they keep increasing the price and its just not worth it, 20 bills plus shipping is way too much for a 1.5oz tin..PFFF IS ALL I GOTTA SAY TO THE MAKERS.
7-Viking Revolution Beard Balm
Only a quantity of pea from the Viking Revolution Beard balm massaged in the roots of your beard and your facial skin is enough to eliminate beard and itchy facial hair.
Only premium natural ingredients are part of the blend. They include argan of the highest quality, jojoba oil, mango butter, and beeswax.
The light, pleasant, but not overwhelming mangodoris will be present when applying the product but will disappear after a few minutes. This makes it ideal for men who are sensitive to fragrances.
The fat, petrolatum-like residue that most other balms leave behind cannot be done with this product as long as you use the right amount.
Remember that a bit of a long road goes, so use it sparingly. Scrape the little bit with your nail and spread it over the beard.
The consistency of the balm is uniform and melts very easily. Moreover, the can is wide and superficial, so you can easily grab the contents.
There are only a few things I am looking for when I need something to tame my beard. Fortunately, this Viking Revolution beard balm accomplishes what I need it to do, without too many drawbacks. First off, its labeling states that it is in fact "100% All Natural Ingredients" which Beeswax, and a number of natural plant oils. It also has a nice, but not overpowering scent, owing to the Mango butter which is second in the list of ingredients. The balm melts easily into a uniform consistency, whereas some others more or less break down into globs. After application, this balm doesn't leave the hair looking glossy, or greasy, as long as you use an appropriate amount. It also doesn't feel like Vaseline on the hands. Even the packaging is great, the can is wide and shallow, making it easier to get out, rather than a narrower, taller container.Pros:+ "100% All Natural Ingredients"+ Pleasing mango scent+ No greasy Vaseline-like residue+ Doesn't make hair shiny+ Nice metal screw-top containerCons:- Only 2 ounces!
I've always been a beard oil kinda guy. My facial hair generally varies between stubble and about 1/2-inch so generally oil works without a problem with me. With that in mind, I've recently decided to let my beard grow a bit more. With that in mind I figured I'd try a few beard balms. With that in mind, on to my review. The beard balm smells very similar to an orange sherbet. Very sweet in comparison to many other beard balms and oils I've smelled. It's almost girl-ish. Thankfully the scent isn't very strong or loud. The hold is very nice. It's a very respectable medium hold. It holds the hair in place well, but still allows it to be easily moved and placed.A small amount really goes a long way here, and oily residue left on the hands and face is very minimal when using adequate amounts. In short, this balm does a great job. As I'm sure you've figured out, my only complaint is the smell. While orange is a citrus fruit, sherbet is pretty sweet. But I guess that's thanks to the mango butter.
I’ve got a tin of good old Honest Amish right here in my hand. Like many of you I’ve been using it for a long while, and why not, it’s good...But seriously - This stuff is a lot better. It’s a lot more moisturizing and softening, yet manages to hold and shape a lot better at the same time. It also lasts longer on the hairs than the Honest Amish does.As for the scent, it’s fresh. Clean. I suppose citrus as advertised. Definitely better than the H.A. which smells more like a musky wax.As for preference - I don’t have a strong sense of smell at all so it never bothers me. I have gotten quite a few compliments on the scent.Of the handful of Balms I’ve used, this one is my favorite by far. Extra points for the screw-on lid too.
I’ve been trying different Oils and Balms for my Beard but most smell like Cedar which is horrible, so after researching a bit I finally found a nice Oil and Balm with a pleasant Citrus Cent that is not overwhelming. This Balm’s Citrus smell is actually kinda Reminiscent of a Orange Cream Soda, my Wife loves it.I highly recommend using BOTH a Balm and Oil, the Oils are great for maintaining your Beard’s Growth and keeping it soft, but that Relaxes it making it kinda just do its own thing, so the Balm will will give some substance to let you Manage the shape when you brush it, so you don’t look like someone who’s been shipwrecked on a island for a year. Also, Oils will only protect short periods especially in harsher climates like Hot or Windy environments, so the Balm will extend the time your beard looks great and feels great throughout the whole day. This particular Balm not only smells Fabulous but it is made from some great natural quality ingredients like Argan Oil, Jojoba Oil, and Mango Buttera and is a really good price compared to other similar 2oz. products and you will Save even more on Amazon if you put stuff like this your going to buy regularly anyways on Subscriptions! Finally, my personal BEARD HACK is to drop a few drops of your Oil straight into the Balm tin, then just take the tip of your Beard Brush and swirl it in there. The Bristles will mix and pick up BOTH the Oil and Balm, then you can apply simply by Brushing through your Beard. This works great because I believe it thoroughly applies it and works throughout your Beard and face, AND NO OILS TO WASH OFF YOUR HANDS!
8-Rocky Mountain Barber Beard Balm
If control – or a lack of it – is your thing, we still have a balm for you.
Rocky Mountain Beard Balm is made for you who fight every day with a beard who does not want to do what you want. It places its main claim on the fact that it will give you ultimate style control without feeling that your beard is weighted with wax.
That’s great, of course, but here’s something else: the people of Rocky Mountain Beard are naturally outdoors and feel involved with men whose beards go wrong while they have an active lifestyle.
Control can be tricky when you walk on a mountain path or cross a stream to find the perfect trout. And do not forget to camp with your important another person. But Rocky Mountain Beard Balm will control even the most epic beards and be a strong contender for the best beard balm for a long beard.
They also hold on to what they know when it comes to the scent of their beard balm, which has a great cedar-wood scent with just a hint of eucalyptus. It is a masculine scent that reminds you of the outdoors but is still suitable for a more urban environment.
Rocky Mountain Beard Balm is made from all-natural ingredients from across Canada (where the company is headquartered) and North America and is packed with eight essential oils. It also contains beeswax and shea butter to help you in your search for control.
This balm is even easy to carry because it is made in an ultra-thin design that fits most boxes and compartments. It is not necessary to go without the house. In addition, the aluminum bush is supplied with a safety screw cap.
I smell as if a big foot scared me and I fell down the side of the rocky mountains hitting every pine and bush with a fine smell on the way down, without, of course, hurting me. Nor is it an abrasive scent, which is great. Enjoying it until now.
I have not had previous experience with beard care products, but I loosened my beard a bit this winter and decided to try to control it instead of cutting it out again. I chose to pick up this beard balm in addition to his beard brush. The regular use of the two together has achieved 3 things for me. I experience less bearded dandruff, which I noticed mainly when wearing ties at work. My beard is softer. I find it easier to identify and cut loose and ungainly hairs. The can is not big in 2 oz, but I tend to go light with it and only apply it once in the morning. Without doing any intense style, I'm only interested in keeping my beard presentable and under control. I find the aroma of cedar wood pleasant, but I imagine it will not be for everyone. It is very earthy, woody, almost turbid. The smell is much stronger from the can. I think it is remarkable only when it is applied for the first time and it fades when I start working. I prefer it that way. I do not feel that it is so greasy, just enough to facilitate the application. I have not had any problems with clothes, pillows, jackets, etc., acquiring daily use spots. The product has a yellow tint and the consistency is similar to a lip balm.
Oh man, talk about a masculine smell. Heavy yield with a touch of vanilla and tea tree oil. I smell like a box of fine cigars. The wife loves him. It applies well. The balm is a little firmer than others (more wax, maybe?), But once I have a little on the hand, it melts easily and mixes well in the beard. Did I mention that it smells INCREDIBLE? Leaves a light shine on the beard too, no greasy mess. Eager to try more of your things in the future.
Ok. My review on the Rocky Mountain...... This is the balm to buy! I bought some from another manufacturer and there’s is very hard to get out of the container to manage around. This one, right upon opening has a nice oil like look on the top of the balm, the scent is very outdoors like but not too much. My GF loves this one the best.Made in Canada so they must know what they are doing!,,The Rocky Mountain is the one for me, going to find other scents as I think they have this down well. Like I said, easy to get out of the tin, and has way more oils listed on the back than the other brands which is why it may be more plyable.........You can not wrong with this. I am ordering more right after this.
9-Prophet And Tools Premium Beard Balm
After only the first application of the Prophet and Tools Beard Balm, you will experience benefits such as a thicker and fuller-looking beard without split ends, irritations, and dandruff.
The balm stays in your facial hair and provides full coverage for up to 12 hours, so you do not need to apply it again during the day.
Mostly, beard balms leave yellow spots on your beard, especially on white facial hair. This is not the case with this product, which is suitable for use on all beards, regardless of your ethnicity.
If you rub it between your fingers, it melts exceptionally quickly and turns into a crystal-white color that matches your beard color.
Take a pea size, which is just enough for the entire facial hair, and work it into the beard. If too much residue remains, you can apply it to your head hair.
He is light-weight, fast-absorbing and not greasy, so you will not even notice he’s there. It comes with a citrus scent that evaporates within an hour.
I have a very thick, coarse, bristlely, and curly full beard. Trying to keep it from looking like I just spent a month chopping down trees in the wilderness is a daily battle. The Prophet White Beard Balm has become my favorite tool in my beard management kit. It melts very easily and goes on cleanly. A few passes with a bristle brush and it gets distributed evenly.I really like that as the day progresses, it keeps my beard managed without leaving it oily or waxy. Personally I like the smell!
I've tried a few "beard care" products this winter. Prophet and Tools seems to go with my beard very well. My beard needs a balm that will keep it moisturized throughout the day and keep it from wandering every which way at the end of the day. I can safely say that this balm does that for my beard. I like to keep it at a medium size which I feel works best for this product.
I've been using this product for a little while now. I have to say, it's alright. I, much to my frustration, have a pretty curly beard. I was told a product like this with both balm and product might help in my straightening of the beard. Needless to say, it does to a degree, when it's wet. As it dries, it waves up again. In fairness, this particular product didn't claim to be the end all, cure all to curl, so it's not fair to down on it for that. As a beard balm, it works well, but I'd say honest almish works just as well. And more importantly, I like the scent of HA better. As others have said, this product is fine, but the scent will make or break it for most. The scent is, for lack of a better description, not stereotypically masculine. It has a smell like you'd yet in a hand lotion. I really can't describe it well, as I don't know a lot about the aromatic arts. I'm hardly Mr macho, and it's actually a smell I like in general, but I've just not smelled a similar scent in a targeted men's product and would prefer something different. Other than that, it works good and I'd recommend it.
Wow! I've been using different beard balms for several years continuously now, (having tried and experimented with almost a dozen companies so far) and I have to say, this is by far my absolute favorite one. Let me just say, the smell is absolutely amazing! Most of the other balms I've tried had either a smell I didn't like, or a smell I could just tolerate, but this smells so refreshing and good (several people have complimented me on its scent). The balm itself is not greasy or too oily (it's just the right texture), and applies easily into my beard. I love that it's a "less is more" type of balm in which you don't have to smother half the container into your beard for effect, and it has lasted a lot longer for that reason than my other balms (if not the longest). It keeps my beard looking hydrated and sexy for hours, and assists in softening it to make it easily shaped and/or combed. I don't ever plan on switching back or to another new balm now that I've experienced this. The Prophet is the one 🙂
10-Wild Willie’s Beard Balm Leave-in Conditioner Beard Butter
If there is anything you can say about Wild Willie’s, it is that they are passionate about facial hair for men, men’s care products and their products.
They even become rather poetic about it.
Wild Willie’s, part of Manscape Companies and the producers of their excellent Beard Balm Leave-In Conditioner Beard Butter, are all about freedom when it comes to facial hair. They want you to be unique; even it means to look like a general from the civil war or a woodcutter who has just come out of a long hibernation in the wilderness.
They speak reverently about the Magnum P.I. Mustache, not because wearing was cool, but because it was right to do.
They do not ask you to wear facial hair. They beg you.
You have to love the enthusiasm.
It is, therefore, no surprise that they have put their heart and soul into their Beard Balm Leave-In Conditioner, which consistently gets high marks from reviewers.
There’s a lot to love:
- The difference in your beard just a few days after using Wild Willie’s beard balm, not just in terms of how it looks if the itch that you are struggling with is gone.
- You’ll love how soft your beard feels.
- You like to keep you all day long.
- You love organic ingredients.
- It promotes the hair growth of from inside.
The Beard Butter also has a nice woody scent but does not get a high odor like some other upper balms. Not that it is unpleasant, pay attention.
All in all, it’s a good product from people with a passion for facial hair.
Overall I'm very pleased with this product. I have quite a large beard and regularly rotate different products. This was recommended by an unaffiliated 3rd party and I must say, I'm very pleased.Scent (of the Original) is potent but not overwhelming by any means. I'm not good at describing scents so I won't waste your time with all of that. I will say it's a solid masculine smell that I found to be very appealing and, for what it's worth, my girlfriend also really liked it.The hold is fantastic. For the last year or so I've been sticking with another beard balm that was hands-down my favorite... however, it had very little hold. This product's hold is perfect. Like mentioned before, I have a fairly large beard and and need extra hold if I want it to keep its shape throughout a long day. This one does a great job without feeling too "thick" as I've noticed some beard balms over do it and end up feeling more like a wax.If you're having trouble getting the product out of the tin, treat this like you would with a wax. Use a finger nail and scrape the product out, then lather it around in your hands to "melt" it into what essentially feels like your standard oils. That way it comes right out and you can get an accurate amount every time.Last but arguably most important, I've been getting more serious about beard products lately and the BIG thing that interests me is the fact that they do not use any Chemicals, Preservatives, Fragrances, or Colorants in their products. That's awesome because the more research I did, the more I found a large majority of these companies use terrible chemicals, fragrances, etc in their products. I spend a lot of time, money, and effort on my beard so I can appreciate a company that doesn't pump a product full of that garbage. Cheers - I'll definitely be back to buy more.
Having tried Beard Oil, then switching to balms-- Honest Amish (regular and heavy duty), Cremo, and finally Wild Willie's-- the prior ones did the job but I just like the overall consistency and scent of Wild Willie's. Some have said it's pricey, and it is indeed a bit more than the others, but becomes much more reasonable if you stick to the 2-pack. I have not tried the Cool Mint but will give that a try on my next order.
I keep my full face beard fairly short. The hair is somewhat coarse and partially grey. This is the first beard butter I have tried. Normally I use a beard oil, which helps to soften and style my beard. This butter does not soften my beard as much as the oil; it stiffens its, which also makes it manageable, but in a different way than the oil I usually use. It also sets up quicker than the oil, which takes a while to absorb (leaving by beard a little oily at first). I am pleased to now have the two different options (and more versatility) for managing my beard. I also like the fresh mint scent of the Cool Mint beard butter. (I haven't tried the original scent yet.)
Got this for my husband who has a fairly close trimmed goatee. His skin get really dry under it so I wanted something to help condition his skin too. So far his skin is looking much better and the goatee is conditioned nicely. We got the Cool Mint and I think it smells really good! It is made with REALLY good ingredients. I am very careful about what goes in and on our body, and this is totally natural and mostly organic. (the price reflects the use of top ingredients which I think is totally fair!)
Why Beard Balm Is Good For You And Your Beard
Your beard deserves all the loving-kindness that you can offer, but you already knew that.
Beard balm, like beard oil, is an excellent way to treat yourself (and your beard), but it should also be an important tool in the arsenal of your spouse. After all, it has many advantages.
As you may have noticed during our beard balm reviews above, they share many common ingredients, including beeswax and cocoa butter.
So what’s the matter with this beeswax? It is a widely used ingredient in beard balms that offers many benefits.
Beeswax is separated by the belly of a worker bee and is what keeps a basket together. It is the structure from which everything else can evolve in the hive, just like the framework of a house.
Bees are brilliant, pay attention. They discovered, for millions of years, that they built their combs into hexagons that combined most of the honey that was possible.
It is only logical that beeswax is ideal for sensible beard keepers because it offers the kind of anchoring that few products offer. It also helps to retain moisture that is released by other ingredients in the balm.
By the way, if you want to look great on your next party, tell someone that only one gram consists of about 1,100 thin sheets – also known as scales. And scales are how the basket is built.
Butters like shea and cocoa improve the spreadability of beard balm but are a great moisturizer. In fact, only carrier oils are better sources of moisture for your beard.
Best Beard Balms
If you live in a cool or dry climate, butter is essential to keep your beard healthy and moist all day long.
Another important benefit of beard balm is that it treats the beard rose. You know, those little but noticeable skin flakes clinging to and falling off your beard to ruin your best peeling attempts?
Beardwurst is formed when a natural oil in your skin called sebum oil is dried up by your hair follicles. Beard balm, such as beard oil, is made from ingredients that are very similar to sebum oil and adds much-needed hydration to your skin.
And hydration = no more shingles.
Beard balm also helps to make your beard appear smoother and offers a subtle scent that is not overwhelming but certainly noticeable.
How And When To Apply: Basic Beard Grooming Steps
Just like your head hair, you should not wash your beard every day.
But if you do, you should wash your beard with the best beard shampoo or the best beard soap there is.
This will ensure you’re ready for a great trim experience as soon as you’re ready to apply your balm.
It is best to apply balm when your skin and hair are hot and humid, such as after a shower, for optimal absorption.
These are the basic steps:
Take a little bit of balm and rub it between your palms until it melts.
Massage the melted product into your hair with a downward movement from the cheeks.
Start the process at the root of the hair and work on the tips for the best results and a smooth coating.
Then use a beard comb or brush with the highest rating, sculpt the mane in the desired style and cover all flyers.
